Filled with cherishable memories from start to finish, 2015 was one awesome year. Although there were some disappointments, friends and family were there by my side, so the year turned out well. However, I hope that 2016 will turn out to be even better. I plan to make many accomplishments and set goals that I will work hard to achieve this year. Hopefully by this time in 2017, I will have become more mature and hard working. With determination and confidence, I will make 2016 one of my best and most achieved years. My Accomplishments for 2015 are very surprising for me because I am not good at accomplishing things. I will set a goal but I can never really accomplish it. My accomplishments for 2015 are that I saved up a lot of money and put it all in my savings account at the bank. Another thing, that …show more content…
Last year, 2015, was not a good year and I am hoping for a better year in 2016. My first disappointment was that my Grandpa passed away in Mississippi and I had only met him a few times. When we found out we went down to Mississippi to see my Grandma and see how she was doing. Another disappointment was that My dad's friend passed away from a motorcycle accident on his way home. Although he was my dad’s friend we still had fun together too. My last disappointment was that my cousin passed away at young age of 32 years old. When we found out that he was missing, we went down to the boat dock, because that was where he was last seen and that was where his truck and phone was. We sat down at the boat dock and stayed there all day to see he was going to come back. He was missing for three days and he drowned in the Missouri river, but they found him in the Mississippi. There were many cops, firefighters , many other people looking for him with boats and helicopters. When we found him the few days we put balloons and sat on the boat dock and had a funeral at the
Seniors, the last half of the year is hard, almost graduated, almost free from hours and hours of homework, but, don’t give up on your goals. Keep doing what you do best finish out strong. And fight for what you want and keep
Finding out about my grandmothers death was the saddest moment in my life . I didn't understand . I didn't expect it to happen , not to me . I wondered why god had taken an important person away from my life , ad for that i felt confused and miserable . I cried for hours that day . Nothing could have brought me joy that day but the presence of my grandmother , but she was gone and i found it hard to overcome the situation.
...in Toronto, where he read about his "death." Thinking it would be a real good joke, he said nothing to his family and friends and walked in on his own funeral. The unidentified sailor was buried with four other unknown souls.
There he stands atop the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial, in the nations’ capital, at a podium, speaking to the world. The crowds faces full of hope. Ears opened wide and clear, for the Dr. is speaking today. He is speaking from the heart and telling the nation that he has a “DREAM.” Dr. King had a dream and as most people think that it is geared towards blacks and whites, it’s not. Dr. King wanted equality between everybody. He wanted freedom from racism and prejudice throughout the nation. He was very good in getting the emotional perspective of persuasion across to his audience. King was a very inspirational man; his words were so true and full of meaning. He spoke to everyone and got everybody involved. This is why people followed him and why I think this is the most persuasive piece we have read. He not only implies his wants but he carries along with him the wants and needs of every man or woman ever treated poorly because of the color of their skin or their beliefs. There is a certain unexplainable meaning and feeling when a man like King steps up in front of the world and says, “I have a Dream.”
I know I will meet these goals because I have them written in my room so I see
My most significant accomplishment would be placing second in the United States of America National FFA Agriscience Fair. Building up to this accomplishment was a challenge I never imagined to take on. It began with my FFA Chapter Agriscience Fair. I had decided against competing, but my adviser suggested I try. Pulling together a project, I placed second. This meant I would not compete at the state level. My adviser urged me to perform another project, under a new category, promising to take me to state. I worked hard and created a project in a week. Surprised, but true to his word, my adviser entered me into the State FFA Agriscience Fair. Upon my interview, I was nervous. I was shy and out of my comfort zone, but I gave my best effort. I
As the year goes on, I am sure I will have my goals set for me to accomplish as well. I can say I am a strong, independent girl who stands up for herself and I never let anyone run over me. I may seem like a mean person, but I am far from that unless you make me become the mean me.
This year, I have set the bar high for myself. I want to be a successful student so I can do well in high school. As I prepare, I have a few goals I want to reach academically, athletically, and religiously. I will do my best to not fail any quizzes or tests, win my volleyball league, and pray every day. I may not reach my goals, but if I work hard and try my best at all the goals I wish to reach, that will be success for me. I hope I can become a better student, volleyball player, Catholic, and most of all, a better person.
Successful is a simple word, however, the meaning of this word changes quite often. Each person has a different definition of success and that definition can change depending on the situation. Bob Dylan once wrote, “A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.” This a very broad definition of success and should not be used. The definition of success should be “the pursued goals have been adequately accomplished.”
Author Jim Rohn once said that, “All good men and women must take responsibility to create legacies that will take the next generation to a level we could only imagine.” He is saying that every good person wants to improve the world in such a way that we cannot even comprehend that it is possible. He says that all people rich, poor, strong, or weak want to leave their mark on the world. A legacy that changes the entire world is the hardest to obtain, but that does not make it more important. Those who leave a legacy on the world are people who had an idea that no one else did, or had a dream to help everyone that they possibly could. Leaving a legacy does not mean affecting everybody. It means that a person changes somebody’s life for the better.
come to one 's mind. All I thought as a little girl was what to play with next. Of course school
My senior year of high school…I want to enjoy people’s company, appreciate my family’s presence, and keep a permanent Polaroid of my “home town” etched in my memory. I have a purpose for the year, I know what I want to accomplish for the future, but I have to remember to make the most out of today because there may not always be a tomorrow.
I was able to overcome many problems and challenge myself in different aspects. At the very beginning of the year, I was very sensitive and having a bad experience meant a bad life to me. Later on, I started to realize what I am doing in school, and why I am here… I understood that life without ups and downs means you're died.
My parents always tell me how proud they are of me and all i’ve accomplished in my life at such a young age. I’ve always been known as the “responsible one”, or the “smart one” out of all my friends. I’ve always been the one to remind my friends about tests or reports that are due, and they always ask what they would do without me.
I have made many achievements in my life. I am happy to be such an achiever at things. I remember my first achievement which was in kindergarten. In kindergarten I got on the honor roll for the first time. I was so happy, but I was just happy because my mom was happy. I didn’t even know what honor roll meant, but I finally founded out that is meant that I got all A’s. My mom was so happy for me, and I got lot of money for my A’s. After that my next achievement was that I learn how to ride a bike. When I first started to ride a bike with no training wheels I kept on falling. After I kept falling I didn’t want to learn anymore, but I saw that my little cousin was riding a bike, so I just had to learn how to ride a bike. Finally, after all the sores and burses, I learned how to ride a bike. I still fall every now and then.
