Such can occur during a job or safety evaluation. Thus, as stated by Firstline, a safety management company, “when hazards that results in an accident are oblivious, an accident investigation may identify previously overlooked environmental, physical, administrative, or process hazards.” Therefore, the chief focus of an accident investigation is the determination of the evidence and facts surrounding the incident and the measures that can be taken in order to prevent future occurrences.
How an automobile accident is evaluated. (FLVS)
How automobile accidents are evaluated is specifically unknown considering that, according to OSHA, “there are currently no specific standards for accident investigation.” In reference to the basics, when an automobile accident occur, the primary action that follows are police and rescue workers are called to the scene, especially if a civilian is injured. Police investigates automobile crashes for many reasons, such as determining first-hand who is at fault, and even examining if there was any illegal activity related to the accident. ... involves speeding? (FLVS)
If whether an investigated accident involves speeding, depends on if it is a sole factor or as a contributing factor because speeding would not be the only reason the accident occurred. Drunk driving, human error and other errors are factors of accidents involving speeding. According to statistics of an unknown source, speeding as a sole factor of investigated accidents is 5% while as a contribution factor it is around an estimate of 16% but that’s adding drunk driving, human error, etc. to the equation.

...ility of the experimental method is somewhat limited in that some outcomes cannot generalize into real world outcomes. The design method used was also expensive, since there are several pieces of equipment and tools that were required to complete the study. Further, the reliability of the study is limited in that it failed to identify and analyze the relative import of other factors that could lead to fatal accidents, such as localized infrastructure deficiencies. (DAlessio, Stolzenberg and Terry, Clinton, 1999).

Disappointment, disbelief and fear filled my mind as I lye on my side, sandwiched between the cold, soft dirt and the hot, slick metal of the car. The weight of the car pressed down on the lower half of my body with monster force. It did not hurt, my body was numb. All I could feel was the car hood's mass stamping my body father and farther into the ground. My lungs felt pinched shut and air would neither enter nor escape them. My mind was buzzing. What had just happened? In the distance, on that cursed road, I saw cars driving by completely unaware of what happened, how I felt. I tried to yell but my voice was unheard. All I could do was wait. Wait for someone to help me or wait to die.

Accidents is defined as an unplanned and undesired circumstances resulting in injuries, fatalities and loss or damage of property or assets(safety.ILO, 2011). Accidents are much deeper and beyond the older clichés, accounting to bad luck or fate, almighty’s work or simply being at wrong place at wrong time. But, in todays scientific world it is neither perceived as fate nor as deity’s work but a social problem resulting from a chain of undesired events. Preventing accidents is very arduous task without knowledge of accident phenomenon and the study in the field of accident phenomenon has been very diverse but a basic question has always been raised as why does accident occur? Can there be some common pattern to it? To unravel these mysteries and predict and prevent accidents several theories and model has been postulated in the past and recent times with each having some explanatory and predictive values.
The term ‘occupational health and safety’ (often abbreviated to OHS), is used describe work practices that will keep employees safe. Reckless driving is extremely dangerous and is considered to be anyone who is driving with carelessness and/or who has no regard for the safety of others on the road. Reckless driving is considered to be a misdemeanor. A misdemeanor is a criminal act that is less severe then receiving a felony. Your punishments are also not as severe as penalties. Penalties for reckless driving include fines of up to $1,000, jail time, getting your parole revoked, two points on your driving record, insurance rates to go up, insurance can be cancelled and/or license suspension. In some cases a DUI can be deemed a “dry reckless”, which means the person was driving with disregard for others on the road. This charge is less serious then a DUI charge. If you have been pulled over for DUI and believe that it could be reduced to a “dry reckless” you should contact an attorney right away. Drag racing or a speed co...
