Recommended: The impact of Christianity in society

Hello My friends, I have asked each of you to pray for me during this next 1 year period while we prepare to launch and lead a church forward into all that God wants it to be. I appreciate each and every one of you not only for your friendship, but I also recognize your spiritual sensitivity coupled with a gift of intercession. Some I have only known for a few years and others for most of my Christian life but one thing I know about each of you is that you pray! Thank you so much for accepting my call to pray for Teresa and I during this huge step of faith. To introduce you Fred and Valerie Bennett founded Christ The Rock Church in Memphis and although now retired still travel doing Marriage ministry. Wayne and Sherry Boyd have been my real estate agents and also attend The Life Church Memphis where I pastored for 4 years. They have prayed my house to sell against the odds and it appears they have prayed me a house in for Spring Hill. Paul Hambrick is a good friend from ECS school, The Life Church …show more content…

First we are planting through the ARC (Association of Related Churches). They are not a governmental organization but rather a church planting rescource. They help with preparation, training, coaching and funding. They have planted over 500 churches in 15 years at a 93% success rate. I know many of the leaders who are all Spirit Filled with the main purpose of helping people plant healthy life giving churches. Below is a link to the first part of their training which by the way cost us $100 dollars to attend live, but now they offer it for free. The first session is about how important intercession is. If you would like to see it and or the other 7 videos you will need to create a user name and sign in. It is not essential for you to watch this or the other 7 videos but if you do it will help you to know exactly what we are doing right now.

    In my paper I will talk about my visit to The Community Church at Murphy's Landing (CCML). I have chosen this particular Church because it is a family church type and my neighbor goes there and she encouraged me to go with her. I went there with my neighbor on April 6, 2014.This church is an appropriate for this assignment because the people there are welcoming me with an open heart and they are willing to help and provide me with information. When I visit the Church’s site I read these words “We know visiting a new church can be intimidating. But, we want to help you to be as comfortable as possible when and if you join us”. The people gather in the church weekly to glorify God in joyful worship. The expressions of worship on CCML take many forms a prayer, a hymn of reverent awe, a guitar ringing with a chorus of praise, or a warm handshake and a welcoming smile. Their weekly services begin at 9:30 each Sunday at church. Also, they have weekly podcast if anyone wants to listen online. They have many types of services for parents, kids and students. People at CCML were so friendly; they gather around me and start welcoming me, one by one. People there introducing themselves to me, one after another and provide me with their contact information and help. Then we start talking about the church services and Christianity in particular.     I grew up in a home with a family that attend church weekly and was active in the church family. I knew about God and about His son but I never remember the story of salvation and the personal need for a savoir.
