Academic success has been a primary goal of mine since the beginning of my education. I have always given my all in every aspect of my life, but education has been especially important to me because it is the foundation of my future. As my post-secondary education is approaching, I am continuously setting goals in order to prepare myself for a change in the academic setting. I believe it is crucial to practice good study habits and continue to achieve academically as high school comes to an end.
I plan to begin college at Iowa State University in the fall of 2018 with the same goal in mind. Along with academics, I plan to audition for the Iowa State Dance Team in April to continue my passion for dance at the collegiate level. Along with dance
I endeavor to obtain excellence in my academics; I wish to exemplify scholarship by constantly asking the whys and hows of things. I will not let a bad grade define who I am as a student or who I will become. I also want to take the most challenging classes available, not because it will look good on my college application, but because I genuinely love the concept of learning and discovering new things. Education doesn’t end after high school, so I plan to attend university, eager to attain the knowledge to better understand my world: and expand it.
Second, I want to be more engaged in class. I need to be sure that I am up to date for all assignments that are due, motivated myself to do well in classes and hope to achieve a passing grade. High school is a rough place and in order to succeed you need a lot of influences and traits in your life. Being successful in school involves more than intelligence, you also need family, friends, a good attitude and future plans. Without these traits high school can be difficult. Not everyone has these traits handed to them, for some have to work for success. Life is like a deck of cards not everyone is handed the same hand of cards, but even the worst cards can win. Therefore, based on my skills and influences in my life, I will be highly successful in my high school career.
“Success is a consequence, must not be the goal”, said Gustave Flaubert (Hagopian 25). From this point of view, the focus must be on the way that leads to success, not on success for itself. Applying this principle to college, the degree is the consequence of effective choices and behaviors. The academic environment is the perfect “stage” to learn skills, hard and soft, indispensable to create a meaningful and successful life. The relationship between student and academic can be compared with a comic duo, the student is the “straight man”, the academic environment is the “sidekick”, and consequently the learning process is the “show”. In order to create a successful outcome they have to act synergistically. Respect and trust are essential
Continuous education improvement is a heated topic both in academic circles and for public concerns. The academic achievements are influenced by many aspects, such as pupil-teacher ratio, disciplines, teaching input, family education, individual efforts, classmates and other off-campus conditions. Above all these factors, many people believe that adjusting class size is the simplest way for developing education. However, class size is one of the important factors in determining successful academic achievement rather than the most crucial one. This essay will both discuss class-size reduction and other factors that affect the education progress, and then suggest the multi-influence of all possible elements determine the academic achievements.
It happened not only in schools but also in workplace. The success story still continues until now. When I look backward in what I have achieved, I feel the same desire. I strived to be the best student when graduated from high school and I achieved it. The same desire I felt when I accomplished all my tasks in office. I realise that what I have already done was driven by need for achievement. This means that my strong desire to achieve my goal gives me more energy and passion to pass all burden. In my current study, I positively sure that my desire to achieve the best results will guide me to step further as what I am studying more likely will very useful for my future
Being able to achieve success in high school has driven me to move on and continue making good decisions to better myself. Another reason i have moved on to make better decisions to better myself is my family. Family is the most important thing in my life and making them proud is my number one priority. “Girlish and reserved, the 47-year-old Namba was 40 minutes away from becoming the oldest woman to climb Everest and the second Japanese woman to reach the highest point on each continent…” (Krakauer 222). Namba reaching her goal motivated her to keep pushing. This relates to high school because if you see a positive outcome, it also motivates you to keep going.
I excelled academically in high school. I was diligent about setting proper study habits for each class in order to handle my rigorous extracurriculars and my school work. The workload intensified throughout my time at UHS with my addition of more AP and Honors level courses; however, I learned time management skills, work ethic, and how to make better student-teacher connections to ensure that I always preformed to the best of my ability during the school year and beyond. Reflecting on my high school classes, I am confident that I put in my best efforts to ensure success.

Goal setting has probably been the most helpful technique I have gained from taking improvement of study this semester. I have learned that there are many ways to set goals for academics. Personally, I favor the abc goal setting. The way I have used it in my other classes is by making a list of all my assignments that are due for the week, then I go through all of
I plan on accomplishing my goal by getting organized and making sure I pass all of my courses with the appropiate grades. I will do so by making appropriate times to study and complete homework. Along with appropriate times, I will also make “study space,” designated just for doing my assignments.
Excelling in an activity can be a difficult process. However, the challenge of excellence is undertaken when a clear objective is set. I decided to pursue academic excellence because of the rewards that it brings.
Academic excellence is yours for grasp; but in order for you to excel, four things are necessary;
There are various ways students can feel about their academic performance. If a student has done well in a test, they most likely have positive emotions in reflection to the score on the test. Likewise, if a student did poorly on the test, they are least likely to have positive feelings toward their test. In particular, academic performance is one of the many concerns that students worry, since it will determine the opportunities that a student has later in their lives.
