Academic Dishonesty: A Summary And Analysis

When I was applying for hct college in cepa math I was trying to see my friend computer , what I have made is example of academic dishonesty “Briefly stated, Colgate University defines academic dishonesty as any attempt to misrepresent one's performance on any academic exercise submitted for evaluation.” (Glenview, Illinois, 1986)When I was in high school I copied my friend presentation and I told the teacher that is my own work, what I have made is example of Plagiarism “ plagiarism is The practice of taking someone else’s work or ideas and passing them off as one’s own” (oxford university press, 2015)3 example of plagiarism in hct “Using the work of someone else, or changing some words and keeping the same structure and the same meaning

without noting the source(s), and submitting it as your own work ➲ Taking text from other sources and putting the pieces together as one document and submitting it as your own work, without noting the source(s) ➲ Downloading information, pictures or charts from the Internet and inserting that material into your own document and submitting it as your own work without noting the source(s).”(hct handbook, 2014)
furthermore, there is different ways that allows you to break the standards of the academic honesty in this paragraph I’m going to include the most important standers for example , cheating is the act of seeing or copying others work , plagiarism, is a true example of cheating and copying others work and refer that is your own work , improper collaborations, means to depend on someone else to do you task, aiding is to buy the task you have given like you ask someone to do it and pay him money. Simply , any work that not done by your own is consider as afull definition of Academic Dishonesty (University, 2015).
On the other hand, the idea of copying the work of others, there is also a totally different way of academic dishonesty, this way happens very often where students skip there studies at home and know that they are unprepared for the test on the next day, they go to a doctor’s office, get their connections with the hospitals or clinics and get a false medical excuse to skip their test and get it postponed. It can also be something a little more similar which also is very common these days with students, he or she skips his or her test and stay home, someone in the exam room takes photos of the test with the answers or without and send it to that person who stayed home, in order for him or her to come fully prepared for the questions on the day of their make-up tests.
Finally, academic dishonesty is not only breaking the educational standards, but it is also against the law. Students must face consequences for earning a college degree that they did not earn or deserve. My personal call for action is to tell all my fellow classmates and all students around the globe to study hard and earn their degrees, because a degree you did not earn truly, can have a negative impact in the organization you recently started working in due to not having educational experience in what you studied. Other than staying away from cheating, a lot of people find studying very difficult because they cannot memorize important key notes fast, eating an apple makes a human’s brain very active and it must help in studying, so avoid plagiarism and stay smart.
