Abortion is Immature
What would it be like to die so young and so fragile? What would it be
like to kill something so young and so fragile? Abortion, in my definition, is
the taking of a life. Now it is hard for me to sit here and type this paper
when I know good and well that if my daughter or wife were ever raped I would
want whatever was inside of them out -- immediately. I think that to take the
life of an unborn just because the couple involved were too lazy to use
contraceptives, is immature and quite horrid. In this informative paper, you as
a reader will come to understand the facts on abortion and then understand where
I stand.
Let us begin. According to US Abortion data provided in 1995 by Planned
Parenthood, there were 1.8 million first trimester abortions, 180 thousand
second trimester abortions, and about four thousand required Hysterotomies. Now
according to these figures we, as the United States, killed/aborted 1,984,000
fetus'. Sure we could keep down the increase in our population at this rate,
but where would we be emotionally? Speaking from a "my" point of view, I
wouldn't get to far. I enjoy children profusely and thinking that there are 1.9
million children less in the world every year sends shivers down my spine. But
I guess you may say that it is not my place to speak.
There are fewer deaths per million abortions than per million births
according to the Planned Parenthood survey of 1995. There are nine deaths per
million abortion procedures and sixty-three deaths per million births. Both
complications and the death rate rise with the age of the fetus. I can
understand that these facts portray a much better picture for abortion than
carrying to term, but what about the pain that the fetus will feel? According
to pro-choice physicians they believe that a certain connection, synaptic,
necessary to perceive pain, for the fetus, is not formed until the twenty-eighth
week of pregnancy. Others who are pro-life believe that the fetus can feel pain
as early as the seventh week. But even though these facts by Planned Parenthood
show a better side to abortion as well, nothing can compare to the guilt of the "
When I was twelve years old, a close friend of mine passed away. At first, I didn’t know how to process what was happening. How can someone I’ve known for the majority of my life be gone? But then it finally hit me. My friend was really gone. There would be no more days challenging
d) Romeo compares Juliet’s eyes to the stars because they shine just like stars in the
Abortion is a considered a sensitive topic in society; as a result it is not frequently mentioned or discussed. However; Marquis has decided to voice his opinion on the matter.
Romeo and Juliet has many themes which are fate, death and love, these are all intertwined. At the very beginning of the play, before we even know the characters, we know that ‘death-marked’ ‘Star crossed lovers’ will ‘take their lives’ which already brings in the major themes. Shakespeare uses dramatic irony throughout the play and builds up the tension until Act 3 scene 1 where death starts to play a role. The Prologue also informs us about the Montagues and Capulets dislike for each other. The theme of love is also there thought the play. There are different types of love, the unrequited love the Romeo feels for Rosaline and that Paris feels for Juliet. There is also the love between friends such as with Romeo and Mercutio as Mercutio dies to protect Romeo’s honour and then Romeo avenges his death, and then the romantic love Romeo and Juliet share. I believe the Mercutio is one of the main characters in this play. His speeches tell us a lot about him and his actions have a large affect on the ending of the play. Mercutio’s name means mercurial meaning “an unpredictable and fast changing mood” which is an accurate description of Mercutio's personality because in Queen Mabs speech at the beginning he is joking and seeking attention, but at the end he becomes serious and angry.

In act one scene two it says, "Benvolio urges Romeo to go to the party to see how Rosaline compares with other women." In scene five it says, "Romeo suddenly sees Juliet and falls in love at first sight." Romeo sees Juliet and immediately forgets about Rosaline. Romeo changed from loving Rosaline that broke his heart to Juliet that will eventually love him later in the story.
Late-term abortion is a very controversial method to abort the baby after the twentieth week of gestation. There are many different grotesque procedures to perform it. These kinds of abortions are contradicted by many religions and morals of people. Late-term abortions almost devastate some mothers because they have spent so much time being pregnant and making an emotional connection with the baby. Some believe this to be murder and inhumane. Late-term abortion should be made illegal because it is morally wrong on many different standards of the American society.
At the end of the party Romeo hides in Juliet’s orchard and overhears her talking
Through his jokes and quips, Mercutio often persuades Romeo to act before thinking and become confident in himself. When they are speaking of the party that is being held by the Capulets, Romeo tells Mercutio that he is not able to dance because his unrequited love for Rosaline has turned his feet to lead. Mercutio responds by saying that he is a lover, that he should “borrow cupids wings and soar with them above a common ground” (Shakespeare 821). Romeo replies by stating that he hurts too much to do so, and Mercutio says that hi takes the burden of love too seriously and that he has lost all of his spirit. Mercutio’s reference and joke about cupid aids Romeo to make the decision of attending the party. Later that night, after the party at the Capulet’s where Romeo first meets Juliet, he rushes off to see her again. Mercutio and Benvolio attempt to search for him in the streets of V...
O there dramatic ironies included when Romeo falls in love with Juliet, Mercutio imagines he is still in love with Rosaline. “Ah that same pale hard-hearted wench, that torments him so that he will sure run mad. '; (Act II, Scene IV, Line 4). All the dramatic ironies caused a very lively presence throughout the play and has caught the eye of many readers.
The play of Shakespeare on Hamlet and Stoppard on the two characters from Hamlet - Rosencrantz & Guildenstern – give a deeper insight into absurdity over the winning of Rosencrantz almost ninety two times in one go. They also present a clear difference between reality and art through the detailed depiction of the players. The point wherein the players outrageous behavior makes Guildenstern very angry to the extent that he stabs the player decribes the lack of control in the character and how it was displayed in the character itself. By reading the play of Hamlet and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are dead, it can be said that both the plays are dependent on each other, and are in fact, weaved in together. It brings out the characters through the ‘metatheatre’ that is staged by both players and characters that are not able to find their real identity.
In Closing, abortion needs to be reversed and made illegal with the upmost urgency. Approximately 55,772,015 young and promising lives were unjustly ended between now and 1973. These young lives were on the path to flourishing into beautiful people and now because of America’s abortion laws, never got to even see the light of day. If you think you are responsible enough to have sex then you better realize and comprehend the responsibility that comes with it. Simply understand that you are engaging in the act of creating new life. So if by “accident” you get pregnant, don’t just go and kill a helpless and innocent human being, get over your selfish self and own up to your new responsibilities as a parent.
Hamlet and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead are very different in their views and purpose they were written and serve. Both of the pieces of writing have different values, character attitudes and each play off of the existence of the other and challenge understanding of the other. But they are still very similar, they both address similar issues, themes and concerns throughout the development of the plays. As a feed off of Hamlet, Stoppard challenges the values and attitudes of the renaissance era and Shakespearean Era while expanding our reading content and viewpoints of Hamlet by giving us a contrasting viewpoint and making the audience think about the assumptions made about them.
In my argumentative coursework I am arguing that abortion is wrong and not to be mistaken with 'Abortion should be made illegal.' I will explain later why I have made this statement. Abortion is the termination of an unborn child in its mother's womb for up to twenty four weeks of the pregnancy or in special circumstances e.g. Disability diagnosis a termination right up until the mother goes in to labour. I think the above definition is an easier and less harsh way of saying that abortion is the murdering of a human being. There are several reasons why abortion is legal and several reasons why it shouldn?t be.
It is almost unanimously agreed upon that the right to life is the most important and sacred right possessed by human beings. With this being said, it comes as no surprise that there are few issues that are more contentious than abortion. Some consider the process of abortion as immoral and consisting of the deprivation of one’s right to life. Others, on the opposite end of the spectrum, see abortion as a liberty and a simple exercise of the right to the freedom of choice.
