Abortion in Canada - A Crime Against Humanity Every year in Canada, over 100 000 murders never reach the courtroom.1 They never reach the courtroom because they are completely legal. Abortion continues to grow across the world, hurting and killing children, as well as their mothers. Abortion is immoral, harmful, and actions must be taken to stop it. When a woman aborts, she is not only killing her child but is also harming herself. Legal abortion is the fifth leading cause of maternal death.2 Ten percent of women undergoing abortion suffer immediate complications, and one fifth of those are consid ered life threatening.3 Teenage aborters are at an even higher risk.4 These serious conditions include infection, embolisms, convulsions, hemorrhage, and endotoxic poisoning.5 By having an abortion, a woman doubles her chances of getting breast or cerv ical cancer. Every consequent abortion increases these chances.6 Physical damage, however, is merely the beginning. Aborted mothers will also suffer many psychological effects as well. These include nightmares, hysterical outbreaks, feelings of immense guilt, and fear of punishment from God.7 In fact, aborted women visit doctors for psychosocial reasons 180% more than other women.8 Abortion may seem like a quick fix at the time, but there can be many and harsh consequenc! es. Yet even if a mother is willing to accept the consequences, she is taking away a human life. Purely biologically speaking, it is undeniable that a fetus is a human, and an individual. at the moment of conception, the fetus has a DNA that is different from his or her mother. By three weeks, the baby's heart is pumping its own circulatory system with a blood type different from its mother.9 Doctors measure the end of life by brain death. It is then reasonable to say that the beginning of life should be at least measured by the beginning of brain life. By six weeks, an unborn baby's brain waves can be recorded by an electroencephalogram (EEG).10 Between six and seven weeks, the unborn baby will respond to external stimuli, such as touching his or her face.11 While many people believe that a fetus is merely a mass of flesh, and is not nearly as complex as a human, this is completely untrue. By eight weeks, all of the body systems are present, and by eleven weeks, still i! n the first trimester, all of those body systems are functional.12 In fact, the body of an unborn baby is more complex than

...ation has been pivotal to his success as a politician and lawyer. Because of this fact, Ted Cruz is a deep believer of school choice. In January of this year, at a National School Choice Week rally, Ted Cruz announced that "School choice is the civil rights issue of the 21st century.”(Hassan). Cruz and other democratic lawmakers such a U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, are both pushing for reforms that give all classes of people access to be able to attend more charter schools, private schools and public schools. Before election to the United States Senate, Cruz was not particularly active in education policies such as No Child Left Behind; he did however say in 2012 at Tea Party Express Rally expressed the need to eliminate the Department of Education. Cruz said that “Education is too important for it to be controlled by a bunch of unelected bureaucrats in Washington.

For many years in Canada and many other countries abortion has been a topic of debate. In Canada, there has been no legislation regarding abortions since 1988 as the previous laws were said to violate women’s Charter rights under Section 7 which states that Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice. Due to this, the Supreme Court of Canada considered abortion legislation to be a violation of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Since then, no legislations regarding abortion has been changed. Joyce Arthur, executive director of the Abortion Rights Coalition
Abortion is the termination of a human pregnancy that does not end in birth of a child. There are two types of abortion-medical abortion and surgical abortion. Medical abortion can be done before 49 days of pregnancy by using pharmaceutical drugs. Surgical abortion takes place by using surgical instruments between 6-14 weeks of pregnancy. Both methods are safe. It depends on the size of fetus and week of pregnancy. An abortion, which is the removal of a fetus from a woman’s body, should be allowed because of women’ s freedom, life opportunities and victim protection.
The 1950’s were one of the most influential decades in American history. In an era where communication was moving at a snails pace, compared to today’s standards, views and attitudes of America’s youth grew and spread faster than ever before, because of the popularity of a new type of music called rock and roll. Rock and Roll was like no other music that was heard before and in the mid 50’s it exploded. Rock and Roll in the mid 50’s changed America for the better in bringing up issues of race, war, and freedom of expression.
In conclusion, the emergence of Rock and Roll was one of the most pivotal moments of our nation’s history. It challenged various racial barriers that existed during the 1950’s. With the ever increasing popularity of this genre, white supremacists feared the rise of black influence in the dominant white society. Also, the emergence of the Civil Rights movement fueled the expansion in the popularity of Rock and Roll among teenagers across the nation. This evoked protests from the parents of young teenagers who exhibited over sexualized mannerisms as a result of this genre. Furthermore, popular culture played an important role during the Great Depression, the Second World War, and the Cold War. It allowed society to escape the hardships of war and uncertainty while safeguarding the democratic freedom our nation was built upon.
...ncreased pain, an aversion to sex and/or males in general, or the development of a promiscuous life-style.” It is also said that women who have abortions are not guaranteed to be able to conceive children. Women usually can experience the following physical complications: cervical, ovarian, and liver cancer, uterine perforation, cervical lacerations, placenta previa, premature delivery with the next baby, an ectopic pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, and lower general health.

Today many people ask the question, does abortion have severe psychological effects? People that are pro-life claim that most women who abort their unborn child suffer from many negative effects, such as guilty feelings, anxiety, depression, loss, anger and even suicide. In one case a woman had an abortion assuming that it would take away all of the stress of being pregnant and thinking about the consequences of having a child. Afterwards she said, “I was unprepared for the maze of emotions that hit me after I had the procedure. Instead of feeling relieved, I was awash in anxiety and confusion” (Lawlor, 2002, par.3). The disorder of having negative effects after an abortion is called Post Abortion Syndrome or PAS. In order to tell if a woman has PAS she has to be completely honest with herself and admit the feelings that she has. The symptoms that most women have are strong feelings of guilt and confusion. Some cases are much more extreme, for example, there was a seventeen year old who developed lethargy, malaise, and vomiting. Doctors where unable to reach a conclusion about her condition until the anniversary of her abortion when she experienced overt psychosis. Mental examinations also revealed signs of hallucinations, as well as psychotic thought processes. Research has shown that in most cases women will go on and say they are fine about the whole thing, and many years later be ...
When Rock arrived on the music charts in the 1950's, a merging of African-American and White music, it made a huge impact on society. As a general rule I am not heavily into music, but I was drawn to Rock for some inexplicable reason. It is just the music I like. This genre will be difficult to write about because the origin of Rock is unclear; there are traces of Rock's style back into the 19th Century. It is also a very broad subject and I will have to compress a lot of information into as few pages as possible. Be that as it may, Rock is, in my opinion the best music genre on the charts.
Marginalization is a concept of where a group of people are treated differently by society. In some civilizations, this group of people would be kept at positions of less power and importance. This concept has been occurring for hundreds of years now around the world. These groups of people are of different skin tone, gender, religious influence, etc. Some examples of this were Muslims and Jews in Europe, during the time of the protestant reformation. Woman would be included as well, as well as Hindus in Muslim empires.
