"I am 17. One month ago, I had an abortion. My story is not tragic. No one made me get the abortion. It’s only my mother and me in the house. My father has never been in the picture. I broke the news to my mom, and she gave me every option and said whatever I chose, she would support me” (“Abortion Story”). October 3, 1973 was when abortion was legalized in all 50 states. Studies show that the abortion rate has dropped to the lowest point since becoming legal (Sandhya). That is a great statistic, but unfortunately, there are still women who continue to have abortions. Making abortion illegal in the United States (U.S.) is a necessary act. Abortion should be outlawed throughout all trimesters, not just the second and third. It should also be illegal due to the health risks that it could have on a woman's future, and a safe alternative women can choose instead. The last reason it should illegal if because of the fact that it could be considered murder. Making abortion illegal is the necessary act.
Abortion needs to become illegal through all three trimesters. Abortion is legal up until the first trimester. Instead of making abortion legal during the first trimester, it should just simply be outlawed as a whole. The first trimester is the first three months of pregnancy. Since abortion is legal through the first trimester the carrier of the baby can abort the baby within this time period. After that it is considered illegal. In the time during the first trimester, the baby starts to develop. The first trimester is the beginning of a young child. By the end of the first trimester is when the young baby will develop the basic components of a human body, such as hands that contain fingers, and feet that contain toes...

As portrayed in the evidence above a women’s right to abortion should be legal as becoming pregnant is a big deal. Women sometimes cannot control their bodies as they get into situations that are not their fault, like rape. Even though women sometimes could avoid getting into situations that

The words of an unborn baby are ones that almost no one ever thinks of, or hears. One of this country's most controversial topics is abortion. However, if one sees the constitutional infringement to women by the restriction of abortion; the torment to the unwanted child; and the anguish society has to sustain, then this topic would not be so debatable. Too many people do not see the effect that abortions cause. It is a very dangerous offence that affects the mother, father, the community, and most importantly, the fetus, and that is why abortion should be illegal in Canada. First, abortion is against God’s law in many Holy books such as the Bible and the Quran. Secondly, abortion does not only affect the individual, but the community as a whole, and the rights of those people are infringed on. However, abortion does nothing in the cases of rape, or women’s rights, which is the constant argument people in favour of abortion argue. And lastly, abortion should be seen for what it is, murder.
In Closing, abortion needs to be reversed and made illegal with the upmost urgency. Approximately 55,772,015 young and promising lives were unjustly ended between now and 1973. These young lives were on the path to flourishing into beautiful people and now because of America’s abortion laws, never got to even see the light of day. If you think you are responsible enough to have sex then you better realize and comprehend the responsibility that comes with it. Simply understand that you are engaging in the act of creating new life. So if by “accident” you get pregnant, don’t just go and kill a helpless and innocent human being, get over your selfish self and own up to your new responsibilities as a parent.

Abortion should be available and a human right! Abortion is a woman's right that should not be limited by governmental or religious authority. Protecting this right is not only a health concern, but also a human rights need. Therefore, it should be considered illegal. I say it should be legal for these three reasons. Abortion should be available because without it, it is a safety hazard. Also, no abortion means more overpopulation and infanticide. Finally, involuntary birth can ruin a woman’s life an is a violation of her human rights.
Abortion has been a huge issue in the United States ever since Roe v. Wade. Roe v. Wade was a supreme court case that allowed women to have an abortion because it was a woman 's right to her own privacy. After this supreme court case, they made restriction on abortion. According to Abortion Procedures During First, Second and Third Trimester (2016) , in some states women can’t have an abortion after her third trimester or when the baby can survive outside the womb. Even though we have restrictions towards abortion the amount of babies aborted are very high. According to Jones and Kooistra (2011), in the United States twenty-three out of one hundred pregnant women choose to have an abortion rather than to keep the baby. Abortions have become more and more common. We have become insensitive toward abortion and

Through every choice in life, there is a decision that must follow. Abortion is a woman’s individual choice; therefore, must be a legal part in todays society. Individual rights have an outstanding role in the controversial topic, on whether abortion should become legal in the United States . The individual rights for abortion show rights of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. As well, women should be able to have the choice to choose to have an abortion for several important reasons. The right to make these decisions should lie in the hands of the “mother” to make decisions concerning their own to make decisions concerning their own bodies. In addition, women should be given the choice to have an abortion if they are too young and unable to take care their child financially or emotionally. Additionally, the right to have an abortion is if the pregnancy negatively affects the woman's or the baby's health. Without abortions as a choice for the “mother” to resort to while she is going through hardship on deciding whether to keep the baby or not, the endless possibilities could negatively influence the mother to put her and the baby in a dangerous positions.
I believe that abortion should be banned. I strongly feel that pregnant women who want to abort their child/fetus should not be allowed to. For one, should one person alone be allowed to control the fate of another? Technically, abortion is murder, since the baby is being killed purposely. Some say that in the early days or weeks of pregnancy (maybe even in the first couple months) the baby is in fact not alive; it is just a bunch of cells. However, the fetus is breathing, and obtaining nutrients from the mother before she even knows that she is pregnant. Within no time, the fetus also has human characteristics: a head, hands, legs, arms, feet, and a torso. Thus, abortion should be legalized only when murder becomes legal, because abortion is murder.
Abortion has been used to controlled fertility in every society on the world. Over the centuries, there is a rich history about women help each other to abort. Abortion was not considered illegal in US until 1880, by which time most states had banned to protect the life of the woman. However, even it has been banned, abortion is still widely practice. Rich women who could afford to pay skilled doctors or go to another country to have the safest and easiest abortion. But for those women, who are poor and lack of knowledge about health had to run the greatest risk with illegal abortion or “black market” abortion. In 1950s, about a million abortions were practiced per year in the US, and over a thousand women died each year as a result. Considering American ethics and values, death is morally wrong. Therefore, the killing of unborn fetuses is morally wrong as well. For that reason, abortion should be outlawed and considered as a cruel, unnatural and absolutely immoral human act.
