Abortion is an issue that most Americans have their own opinion of. It is a personal preference, which has no right, or wrong explanation. A person opinion could be abortion should be illegal, and women need to have control over their bodies. On the other hand, if women have consensual sex, then she needs to have responsibility for conceiving a child. Abortions have to be the most unbearable pain, not only physically, but mentally. Even though women are in control of their mind and body, abortions should be illegal. If murder is illegal then abortions should not be different. In certain cases sometimes pregnancies are tragic. Women should not be able to have a choice to abort a human being, regardless of the circumstances (ProCon, 2015). For example, adoption is a way which women, who are raped victims, can give a married couple who cannot conceive children, a child. Women that find out their child will have a mental defect, does not give them the right to abort their child. Children with certain mental defects can overcome their disease with medical treatment, but at least give the child a chance to overcome it. On the other hand, women that have complications during pregnancy are understandable, because their treatment does not consist of them killing an unborn child, purposely. Not only in certain circumstances are women taking life, however she is avoiding responsibility. Being responsible does not mean it is justified when killing an unborn
