Imagine you are the one who has issues, whether it’s drug related or mental instability, and you wind up pregnant; you may realize that you are unable to care for the child that will form inside of you, so you want to do what you think is right: abortion. Abortion is not a bad thing like many people seem to think. I believe that it is a mature decision to make if you know that you cannot care for a child. The argument is made that abortion kills the embryo inside of a woman, which is a human, and goes against a human’s right to live. I do not agree with this, though, because the embryo does not have a brain that can process things yet. An embryo is too small to count as a human in my opinion, so if the mother does not believe that she is not responsible enough for a child then she should be allowed to have an abortion. Another argument is made with the previous point: instead of abortion, have somebody adopt the child. I do not think that this is a good idea because the world is already overpopulated, and I feel that we shouldn’t have to try and help every single person live just because they have the right to live. I know this sounds heartless, but we are slowly running out of natural resources, and having a world that is rapidly increasing in human population will only worsen matters. If a woman does not want to go through the process of being pregnant and trying to decide what to do with the child if she cannot keep it, then she should have the choice to get an abortion. Many humans believe that adoption is a good thing, and I also think it is wonderful except for the fact that the kids will always wonder why their parents did not want them. Some children may never know why they were not wanted by their real parents, so if ... ... middle of paper ... ...like my neighbors should not be allowed to have children because of how messed up their lives are. Often, late hours into the night, I hear the father’s tires squeal up their driveway; every time I hear this I say a silent prayer for the children, hoping that they are all right. I see them on the way to school, and the older one has seen too many serious things in life to possibly have a happy childhood. I can see the deep sorrow and emptiness in her eyes. For children like these, I do not think that they should have been brought in this world to only be put in scary situations and unhappy times. I can only hope that humans will open their eyes enough to realize that abortion is often the humane decision to make. I also hope that adults will think smart and know when to get an abortion so they don’t have to make their child miserable. Works Cited www.wikipedia.com
Some people who are for abortion say that the baby can be put up for adoption. While they can be, there are already four hundred thousand children up for adoption in the United States of America. Only, one fourth of those kids are waiting
Abortion has been the biggest controversy of all time. Many people believe that it is morally okay and not murder just because it is legal. Individuals never think about how it would make them feel if someone took away their ability to live, grow, and become someone. They do not envision not being able to have any say in whether or not they want to have a life. Well, babies do not have an option in the womb. If the woman decides to abort her baby, they can do nothing about their life being taken right out of their hands. Their whole future is destroyed with no chances of going back on the mother’s decision. I believe abortion is wrong when having it for a selfish reason. I am arguing that Abortion is wrong, although not to be misguided with ‘Abortion should be prohibited.’ Abortion is wrong in terms of an unplanned pregnancy, disability diagnosis, adolescent pregnancy, or contraceptives and birth control not working right that month.
Adoption is always an option, and a much better alternative to murder. Yes, a woman does have a choice, but there is always one morally right way to go when considering an abortion, and it is simply to just not have one.... ... middle of paper ... ... “In everyday life, men and women make decisions that affect the life and death of existing people.
Many people have their own opinions on abortion, that a fetus is a human being with a right to live so abortion is similar to murder. While other groups argue that a woman has certain rights, especially the choice whether to bring another life into the world. The groups that are for it think that abortion gives women the control over their own bodies, which it is their choice when and whether to have children or giving an option to choose to bring or not to bring a child with abnormalities to the world. Some children are born with severe disorders and some parents, being unable to care for their disabled child seek abortion as their one and only option because taking care of a child, especially born with abnormalities is tough work to do as a parent, so they decide whether bring a life into the world. They look ahead on what is best for them, and it is selfish. Or even having in mind that some do not want to become a single parent taking up two roles; a mother and father and they feel like every child should come into the world feeling wanted, loved and cared for. Another reason some women have an abortion is because they do not want to stop work or schooling, and these reasons are consistent across many countries, including America. Other reasons are because of societal pressures, women get little to no social support. But
I think [17e] that the lady should have the baby and then put it up for adoption, but then there are also a lot of other people that think that the child will suffer psychologically, because in a lot of cases the child will never get to meet their biological parents. Even if the baby doesn't meet their parents they will not suffer as badly as it would if it were brutal. slaughtered in the womb, this brings up a biological issue: abortion is killing a human life.... ... middle of paper ... ...
As of right now, abortion is legal in all nine months of the pregnancy for any reason. This controversial issue is a question of how important the value of life is. The turning point came in 1973 when the Supreme Court's decision in Roe vs. Wade saying, that women have the right to murder an innocent child only up to 24 weeks . This false perception is fueled part by groups supporting abortion rights and it is then uncritically unaccepted by the media.
Abortion, a controversial topic that excites like no other topic in this country. The principal reason why this topic is so controversial, is because there are many people on both sides of the issue. For the most part, it seems that certain social groups of society tend to think similarly about abortion. In this day and age it seems that there are not many pro-life Democratic politicians or pro-choice Republicans. Typically, Democrats are pro-choice and Republicans pro-life. Personally, I consider myself to be pro-life. I firmly believe that the point in which a person becomes a person by a clear and definable measure, is when it acquires a genetic code that identifies it as human. At conception there is potential life and if a fetus is killed, that fetus is gone, forever. It cannot be duplicated. All that said, I believe abortion is wrong both morally and ethically and it should be illegal.
Even though abortion is legal in the United States it should be considered murder. The heart and brain are one of the first things to develop on the newborn baby, which can conclude that the baby has feelings (“Surgical Abortions”). A surgeon and a baby can be equivalent to a mechanic and the car it is working on, it is their job to get the car out and running in one piece. The difference between the car and the baby is that a car comes in parts and can be easily taken apart like most machines. All vehicles have multiple parts to them that can be taken away or can be added to them. But, once a child is taken away, they are gone forever, that specific child can never be brought back into the world unlike a machine such as a car. A single celled organism is considered a life; therefore, an unborn fetus should be considered a life as well. Sometimes, the circumstances surrounding a pregnancy may be tragic. Perhaps the woman was raped and became pregnant, the baby had been diagnosed with a defect, or the woman’s health might be at risk. Accordingly so, making an abortion seem like it may be okay due to those tragic events. However, one tragedy will not answer these problems with another one occurring. Murdering could be easily defined as killing somebody who does not want to be killed, as well as, cannot speak for one selves (Dictionary).
Some women are forced to have an abortion either by their parents or their spouse. This circumstance is very hard to argue because the woman who is pregnant is not making the choice and should not be held accountable for it. And that is the only reason anyone might consider having an abortion. Look at it like this, Jeff and Bonnie are building a house, what's the first thing they do?
Islam is an Arabic word that means surrender, obedience and submission to Allah (God) (Khorfan et al., 2010). Islam is one of the three major religion in the worlds which Christianity and Judaism. Islam has two main resources that Muslims depend on them in their daily life. These sources are Holy Quran (the words of Allah) and the saying of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that called Sunnah (Almatary et al., 2014). In addition, a third source was considered for making the decision for complicated issues after evaluating these conditions. This source is called Ejtihad (ijma’a) which means moral agreement between religion leaders about specific situation (Khorfan et al., 2010). In other words, the leaders are meeting to discuss some issues and proof that decision from the Holy Quran and The Sunnah (Almatary et al., 2014). The fourth source is Qiyas which means the religion scholars are using the logic to evaluate moral issues in general (Khorfan et al., 2010). Muslims are using all of the sources to support most of the issues such as abortion. Islamic law is flexible and deals with every aspects of our life to eliminate any threat a person might face in the life.
A person being pregnant and wishing they weren't is probably the worst feelings a woman can have. A women knowing that if they brought a child into the world and they didn't want it, or they would have to give it up for adoption is such a disheartening way to start off, and mother and the un-born child would be so much better off if they were to terminate the pregnancy and wait for a more appropriate time, or in the case of rape, put the past behind them and move on. Women should have the choice because not everyone knows what the situation was. In today’s society people have attached shame with the word abortion. When people hear of abortions they automatically assume it was the mothers fault and she didn’t use protection or may...
...There are 2.8 million couples in the world that can’t have babies, but would love to. Help them out give the baby up for adoption for those who can’t have babies. You are not only risking the baby’s life, but as you lay upon that operation table you to could die. There are woman every day that die from something going wrong during the abortion. I believe that the only reason you should get an abortion is if it’s because of incest, rape, or if there is a 50/50 chance your baby won’t live. I personally would take that 50/50 chance and have my baby, just because what if the baby was to live and I would be able to hold my baby.
Some people believe that it’s okay to have an abortion because of certain situations some women may be in. For example, they were raped. It is understand that a person wouldn’t want to have a baby with someone that forced them to have sex with them, but again, they should just give birth to the baby, and if they decide that they don’t want to keep it, put it up for adoption. There are plenty of nice young couples that would love a baby to take care of.
... Legal abortion may help parents limit their families to the number of children they want and can afford, both financially and emotionally. Many unwanted babies are abused, neglected, or even killed by uncaring or immature parents (Smith 2000). There is a lack of babies up for adoption because abortion is legal. Perhaps if abortion was illegal, women could go ahead with the pregnancy and then give the baby up for adoption.
