Around 11:30 am in the morning on a Thursday, a 61-year-old male driver heading east crossed the yellow lines on the road, making him smash into a tree, and flip over in front of 1701 Post Road East at Welfair Drive. The car had smoke coming out of it while the driver was still upside down and buckled in his seat. As the male driver tries to stay conscious while being stuck. A man named Aaron Tucker on a bus nearby had woken up from the commotion, he had seen the car flip and ran off the bus to help him out along with a few other worried folks around the scene. As the car started to burn, Tucker took off the man’s seat belt and pulled him over. "What I did was I got inside the car as quick as I could and helped him get the guy out," said Samaritan Paul Szegedy, one of the men from the local auto shop. The biggest problem was getting his legs out. As Tucker and Samaritan pulled him out of the car with the help of others around, Tucker used his button-down shirt to stop the bleeding on his head. The "guy had a lot of blood coming from his head," Tucker told CBS News. As the male driver lay unconscious on the pavement, Paul Szegedy of Oxford, another one of the workers from the auto shop said, “There was smoke coming from under the car so we grabbed a fire extinguisher from the garage.” With the car put out of the flames and the driver lying barely conscious on the floor, the EMTs and firefighters came after a few minutes. "I had a grip on his arm to keep him calm as they put an oxygen mask on him," Tucker said.
