AP Class Reflection Essay

I have taken challenging courses throughout my academic career. I have taken three AP classes and many pre-AP classes to prepare myself in life. I have taken AP US History 11, Calculus AB, and Biology over the course of my sophomore and junior year of high school. These courses helped me experience the college-level work and skills needed in order to be successful in the future. I learned that being communicative, productive, and effective helped me succeed in these courses. I devoted my time to these classes because they were year-round classes. I knew that I needed to set goals and prioritize my tasks. When I was confused about the material or upcoming due dates, I asked my teacher to clarify for me. He/she would explain it until I was no

longer baffled. In a classroom setting, I knew I had to be productive. I needed to use my time-wisely so I worked diligently on my assignments. I had to input a maximum amount of effort in order to receive a positive output on my assignments/tests. The number one thing that helped me succeed in my classes is my motor. I am a person who never gives up. I strive for an outstanding grade. If I made a bad grade, I would pick myself right back up and study harder. I had the determination to achieve an outstanding grade in my AP classes. I characterize myself as a leader because I want to set the foundation of success by having a striving motor. In result to my hard efforts, I achieved a 4.2 GPA passing all my AP classes with A’s.
When I am working at my job, I have to exhibit maturity because I am in a professional environment. My job is to cook/ bag food, and take orders, so with all likeness I have to act in a mature manner. We always have a busy day, so I must prepare myself for possible mistakes in orders. If I mess up an order, I can only stay calm and try to fix it. I must have a positive attitude when things are not going well within my surroundings. In addition, I have to think for solutions that are not obvious. I work diligently to solve problems at work and in relation to maintaining a mature, productive attitude. I understand that there are some distracting peers within my workspace but it is important for me to avoid those things. As a leader, I have to represent others by staying focus in everything I do. I must stay mature, calm, open-minded, and collective when I am working with others. I believe there is a time to be serious and there is a time to have fun. Personally, these times should be scheduled in the right manner. To be successful in life, you need to inherit critical thinking, maturity, and communicative skills. My job has taught me these skills to become a successful UA Early College student. These skills are a lifetime achievement.
Initially, I am a self-sufficient, independent person.

As an independent person, I make sure my house is in great maintenance. I have tasks to do inside and outside my house. I have to mow the lawn, clean my room, take out the trash, pick up paper in the yard, wash the dishes, etc. All these tasks help mold me into a reliable, responsible person. I cherish living on my own because I never become sick away from home. I love to travel away from my house to see new life experiences. In addition, I try not to rely on my parents for assistance when I am out of the house. When I am out of the house, I understand that I need to be respectful to others and my environment. When I am away from home, I am representing my parents, so it will make since if I treat others in a rightful manner. Ultimately, I am obedient towards authority. I always obey rules that are presented to me. I strive to be a prime example of a mature, young adult in society. Living among an enormous campus can be overwhelming for a moment, but I have the courage to abide and obey all commands to help me flourish amongst my peers. Furthermore, I have the endurance and self-control to help me overcome problems on my own. It takes a lot of commitment to devote your summer to school. As a loyal person, I will be willing to give up my summer so I can excel forward

academically.
As a final point, many people are not mature and they disobey rules. As mentioned before, I strive to be a leader among my peers. A leader’s job is to set a prime, right example for others. For instance, if I see someone trying to cheat, I will inform that person about how he/she is violating the UAEC Student Code of Conduct. If he/she fails to listen then I will have to take the issue to authority, notably the professor. Everyone should take early college in a serious manner because he/she is representing his/her school and household. Moreover, nobody should be partaking of drugs and alcoholic beverages. I have friends that participate in these dreadful activities. As a friend/leader, it is my duty to direct them in the proper way of citizenship. I grew up in the church, and I learned that as a Christian I have reach out to others in need of assistance. My spiritual goal in life is to live faithful unto Christ and help others that are down. There are going to be people that will reject me, but I have to venture out to them in various ways. This takes a lot of patience; however, I am willing to sacrifice my time for others.
Overall, I am a great, outstanding, and mature person. I have the ability to excel academically and socially. I acknowledge instructions given unto me for success. Ultimately, I strive to be excellent.
