A Very Brief Biography of the Prophet Muhammad

I. Introduction
Throughout the course of history there have lived many great people who have left major influences on the modern world. The most important influences come from major religious figures, as their ideas and teachings shape society, and even influence major political issues. There are many religious figures, from Jesus, to Moses, and Confucius, but who is the most influential of them all? Muhammad the Prophet is not only the most influential religious figure, but he is the most influential person to have ever lived, his achievements in life influence the modern economy, politics, and society. The Prophet, Muhammad, continues to influence us today by having established the morals and principles of the Islamic religion. By being a successful secular, ad non-secular leader (Hart). During his lifetime he successfully united southern Arabia, a cause whose effects we still see today (Hart). Muhammad the Prophet is the Power of One.
II Biography:

Muhammad was born in 570 in Mecca, a town that is located in modern day Saudi Araba (Nasr). His father, Abd Allah Bin Al-Muttalib died before his first and only son, Muhammad, was born (PBS). Muhammad was raised by his mother Amina bint Wahb, and a nurse named Halima until the age of five or six. Muhammad’s mother died when he was five or six after becoming ill on a journey returning home from visiting his relatives and father’s grave a few hundred miles away in the town of Yathrib. After his mother’s death Muhammad was placed into the care of his grandfather, Abdul Al-Muttalib (PBS).

...ll strong today. The battles were not all won by the Muslims. They won the first battle, the battle of Badr in March 624, the second, The Battle of Uhud in March 625, they lost to the Meccans. The final battle, the Battle of Trench and the Siege of Medina in April 627, was won by neither party. The result of these three battles was a treaty which was signed in March of 628 which recognized the Muslims as an official group in Arabia, but this treaty would be broken a year later. By 630 Muhammad and his Muslim community had more power than Mecca. In January of 630 Muhammad had begun the Conquest of Mecca, during which many tribes joined with the Muslim army to take over Mecca. They were able to conquer to Meccans without any bloodshed.
Muhammad spent in final years in Medina. In 632 he made his final pilgrimage to Mecca where tens of thousands of Muslims joined him.
