She is now free and may start a family of her own. From The Black Cat the climax at this point is when the police come to the house for the last search and finally discovers the body in the wall after previous searches of the home. A sense of relief is a feeling you will get after reading that section of the story. The narrator is finally caught guilty of his sinful evil duties.
