Richard, Nixon was the first civil rights for every Americans. The Nixon commercials was the convincing commercials of 1968. The title of the video is 1968 Nixon Vs. Humphrey V.S Wallace which are very interesting. All three candidates are in different parties. Nixon is in the republican party, Humphrey is in democrat’s party and Wallace is in independent. Nixon, He appeared in many situations and his words are very great. He was from California. He went to Whittier college and Duke university law school. Many people enjoy the new car smell just as much as the actual new car. In today’s society there is a wide variety of companies and different brands to choose from. Companies have to advertise their products in a way that would stand out to the intended audience. The commercial for the 2017 Lexus LC adequately persuades its target audience, which is both male and female teenagers and adults, to take an interest in their product.
One of my favorite commercials to watch is the Chick-Fil-A commercials. Their commercials are very ironic but at the same time interesting and entertaining. The main purpose of their commercial is to persuade an audience to go and buy their product or maybe convince an audience to come back again and buy more of their product. They are able to influence their audience through the use of rhetorical elements. Rhetorical elements include: the rhetor, discourse, audience, and rhetorical triangle. Their commercials don’t necessarily target one particular audience, they incorporate different ideas into their commercial to target different audiences such as families, and football fans.
The supporting argument is that Nixon made awful choices, but that should not change the people’s opinion of government. Nixon supporters were disgraced, and his opponents just shook their heads. His supporters trusted him to do the right things, but in the end he just hurt them. While this was a major issue in history, the American people should not look at this one bad apple. If the whole United States thought that everyone in the government was corrupt, then we would have a huge problem.

Mark Twain’s “The Presidential Candidate” satirically expresses the essence of both old-world and modern politics as a presidential candidate who blatantly tells the truth of his wrongdoings. As a politician, one must be an open book. Their life must be truthfully written on the pages for the readers to analyze and evaluate their credibility as leaders. “The Presidential Candidate” resonates both in 1879 and 2018 with his use of humor, use of diction and use of subtlety.
Creators want their commercials, tv shows, movies or articles to draw the audience in. They strive to get your attention using ethos, pathos and logos. A Nike commercial with LeBron James as the star did just that. The commercial about following through with your dreams and becoming big out of nowhere is spine chilling and inspiring.
On May 5, 2018, Atlanta rapper Childish Gambino released a video for his new song titled “This is America.” The video featured not-so-subtle commentary on the current gun debate in the United States and began trending quickly. Many began to wonder if a song with this much political weight could make it past the viral stage and hold its own on the music charts. One of those inquiring was Chris Molanphy, a journalist for Slate.com who often writes about popular music. He makes the claim that this song is “one of the most lyrically daring [Billboard] Hot 100 No. 1 in history.” In his article, “‘This is America,’ the Video, Is a Smash. Will the Song Have Legs?,” Molanphy uses diction, ethos, and analogy to argue that Gambino’s “This is America”
It is very common among the United States’ political sphere to rely heavily on T.V. commercials during election season; this is after all the most effective way to spread a message to millions of voters in order to gain their support. The presidential election of 2008 was not the exception; candidates and interest groups spent 2.6 billion dollars on advertising that year from which 2 billion were used exclusively for broadcast television (Seelye 2008.) Although the effectiveness of these advertisements is relatively small compared to the money spent on them (Liasson 2012), it is important for American voters to think critically about the information and arguments presented by these ads. An analysis of the rhetoric in four of the political campaign commercials of the 2008 presidential election reveals the different informal fallacies utilized to gain support for one of the candidates or misguide the public about the opposing candidate.
Advertisements are all over the place. Whether they are on TV, radio, or in a magazine, there is no way that you can escape them. They all have their target audience who they have specifically designed the ad for. And of course they are selling their product. This is a multi billion dollar industry and the advertiser’s study all the ways that they can attract the person’s attention. One way that is used the most and is in some ways very controversial is use of sex to sell products. For me to analyze this advertisement I used the rhetorical triangle, as well as ethos, pathos, and logos.

Richard Milhous Nixon was born into a poor family on January 9, 1913, from Francis Anthony Nixon and Hannah Milhous Nixon. They lived in Yorba Linda, California where Nixon’s father built the house. Nixon had five brothers and two of them, Harold and Arthur, died at an early age. After the failure of the Nixon’s family ranch, they moved to Whittier, California where his father, Francis Anthony, opened a combination grocery store and a gas station. Nixon had a troubled childhood, and possibly his rough childhood could have shaped Nixon’s personality. “Raised by a sometimes abusive father and a controlling mother, Nixon adopted parts of both his parents' personalities.
