Steroids Solution in Sports Many famous individuals in sports have tried to cheat their way out huge contracts with the help of substances that enhance their abilities. When fans’ trust is being played because of this act of insult to the culture of sports, it should bring shame to the individuals who took part in the accident. Many athletes have been caught and have received punishment, minor punishments, but there shall be more that are willing to try to take the risk. A solution to this matter is to end the individual’s contract ,or just distribute the money to many charities that need the money or to help the community. Have a bingo game with the money that the team is giving to the player. Each time increasing the winning prize to the point that the player have to provide money for bingo. In the history of baseball there are any legends that exceed many incredible records in every aspect of the game. There are players who defy the rules of records because some are very hard to reach or to get close. many of those players have been name hall of fame that will go down as players of hard sweat and blood put in and out the field. At least there will always be that moment of knowing the truth behind their abilities that will affect the evolution of the game. The impact of knowing the truth from many players has been devastating. A disappointment is the word that most fans would say when talking about some of the greatest hitters in baseball history. From 1976 to 2014 the list of names that have been investigated has multiply and more will be on the list. Names that hold titles like Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, Jason Giambi and many more faced or still facing accusations of using steroids. “March 17, 2... ... middle of paper ... ...play a game against opponents should be a fun experience. When dealing with athletes who want to be the top dogs with fame that takes him or her to places that a regular joe would not go, has to be a great experience. As soon as players start to cheat because they want to put or break records, then the line of respect is being violated. Major League Baseball should have an iron fist when it comes to steroids, but if not then my proposal stands to be taken seriously to try to eliminate the issue. Sports writer from The New York Times, Michael Schmidt reports, “The 19-page indictment charged Clemens, 48, with three counts of making false statements, two counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of Congress during his testimony in a nationally televised hearing in February 2008 before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform” (Schmidt). Roger Clemens was charged with six total felonies. This might be the most severe attacks of someone's integrity. Five of his six charges were directly related to lying under oath of congress. This is not the type of person that the Hall of Fame should want representing them. More importantly, it is even worse when a player testifies in front of judges and says he never taken steroids. Ever. When looking back at symply baseball statistics, Rafael Palmeiro can be found in many record books for hitting more than 500 home runs and 3,000 hits.
