I am so grateful for everyone in my life and the influence they have, each of them have shaped me into the person I am today. The people with the biggest impact on me have been my two younger sisters, my parents, and my grandmother.
Siblings, both a blessing and a curse. My two younger sisters, Berkley and Presley, have truly shaped me into the person I am today. Sibling rivalry is obviously a big issue in a house of three girls, as each of us are trying to find who we are, own talents, activities, and interests. The middle sister Berkley, says she always feels like she is being ganged up on but most of the time she is the one that started the fighting or hitting. My little sister, Presley, is a brat with an attitude, she thinks she

Often times the way a parent treats their children is a direct reflecton of the way their parents treated them. My grandmother and my mom are very close, I see their strong relationship and want that with my mom which is the reason we are so close. In 2000, my grandfather past away, it was a very hard time on my family especially my grandmother. The two of them lived in Sweetwater, Texas. They were very well known being that my grandfather was one of the only dentist in the town, so everyone came to comfort when he passed. My mom did not feel safe knowing that her mom was alone in another town and if something happened there would be nothing we could do. My mom bought a house in Mansfield, Texas and moved my grandmother less than two miles away from my house. Now my grandmother, my mom, and I can all go shopping together. My grandmother also comes over every night and cooks us dinner, which I will forever be grateful for since my parents have no idea how to cook. She has recently been diagnosed with cancer as well as needing a hip replacement, but she has stayed strong throughout the whole process which has made my family stay strong and positive. Her ability to push through every conflict that comes her way has also pushed me. I truly don’t know what I’m going to do without her when that one day comes, but she will always be one of my biggest role
Since my father remained in Haiti while we made our home here in the states, by the time I was in my late teens I soon realized that I was the leader of my family. The apartment complex where we lived was increasingly becoming unsafe and it was very clear that I had to move us out of that environment into a safer one. I worked hard and saved up and when I was 23 years old I was fortunate enough to have my first major accomplishment by purchasing my own house where I moved in my mother, my 3 sisters, my younger brother, and occasionally my father. It made me feel good that I could provide a safer living environment for my entire family.
Families come in all shapes and sizes. The dynamics range from an open, perfect, dream family, all the way to broken homes. The way people are treated, or are treated by their family affects the way they act throughout their lives. They grow up knowing only the ways that their families taught us, even if those things were wrong. They do not know any better, so of course they have to listen to them.
...ble family who has been willing to do and sacrifice anything for my siblings and myself. Due to five unselfish acts, my brothers and sister were given the most incredible opportunities of our lives.
The most impactful individual in my life is my mother, Samantha Jarvis, and that is because, she is the one person I know will always be there for me and guide me when I need help. Its safe to say that I would not exist without her (and my dad) and while that is physically true, I also believe that I would not the person I am today without her. My mom has always encouraged me, even from a young age, to chase my passion for learning and find the answers to my questions. She is the one, I get most of morals, ideals, and work ethic from. My mom is one of those people who give a lot and expect nothing in return. She has been the sole provider of my family for the past 18 years due to my father having a broken back and being unable to work. She also the one that does the cleaning around the house, runs errands around town, takes time off work or skips lunch to take me or my sibling to therapy or, to the doctor’s office, and just about everything else.

Why is influence such big deal? Influence gives you personal values. Influence comes from everyone or everything; that mean you can’t dodge it. Where this influence comes from is basely people or thing that interact with each other. Influence is important. It is how we learn in our life. Influences reflect on our personal judgment, socially or personally. Influence is always major in every single step that people take in their life. That is why our families worry about what outside or unknown influences that can bring us great hurt. This essay is about three people who have greatly influenced me. These three persons who influenced me improved my life, skills, and mood. My dad, Mike, and Jimmy are three people who have greatly influenced my life.
My nieces, nephews and cousins, there’s too many of you to name but I just thank God for blessing me to be able to have you all in my
Additionally, building this strong brother-to-sister relationship of trust with my own sisters, leads my focus on the members of my family, who has influenced my character more fully than anyone else. My Dad especially is probably my greatest example of all times whose character and integrity really touched me in various ways I could ever imagine. I really admired the way he led our family with great wisdom and counsel which helped me in my hard and difficult times. I only got to spend nineteen years of my life time with him due to his passing away while I was on my mission.
As a child, family was very important to me. My parents made it very clear that the people in your family are the people that are going to be on your side for the rest of your life. My parents were young when they had me so they needed some extra help. Although they did everything in their power to make sure their work schedules were set so that somebody would always be at home to watch me, that just wasn 't always possible. When in doubt, my granny would always come through. I began to build a very strong bond with her being that she was one of my main care takers. Over the years my parents started to figure things out so they no longer needed grannies help. But this is not what I wanted. Instead of
This journey taught me so much that I wouldn’t have ever imagined. I grew from this experience mentally and I saw my parents becoming closer and regaining that bond they held with one another. This event taught me to be more appreciative with all the little things I have and made me realize that life isn’t going to go the way you want it to; you have to fight for the path to lead you in the right direction. I was brought closer to both my parents and my brothers. This event started new beginnings for this family, a new start to get things right because when I found out I would be moving to San Diego, I never would have realized the struggles I went through; especially when I was a silent voice in the decision.
In most families, paternal grandmothers do not have much of a relationship with their grandchildren. In my family’s case, it happens to be the opposite. Since, I have a very close relationship with my ...
I have a lot of cousins; therefore I am not the only grandchild for my grandparents. However, I was the only one that was raised by my grandparents. They spent the most of their times on me compared to my other cousins. For example, I slept with my grandma when I was young. Because of my body was weak, and my hands and feet usually cool all night, my grandma always held my hands and feet to make my body warm. She was told me fairy-tales or real stories at night when I was sick, because she wanted me to feel better. When I was little girl, on the family trip, grandpa always carried me, because he didn’t want me to walk too long. Living without the parent, it made me sad but my grandparents given too much love on
My family has influenced who I am as a person more than anything else in my life. My parents and siblings have shaped the person I am and influenced my social behavior. My parents have passed down their views and values to me. My parents have
One thing that has really taught me a lot in my life is the opportunity to see how my family is able to function properly, a majority of the time, with the completely different personalities that inhabit it. The two people that are unlike each other the most would be my parents. My mother is very reserved; however she can still be strict. Regardless, she always this loving look in her eyes. My father on the other hand is quite the jokester. He cracks jokes about everything, but he can be a very serious person when it comes time for it. My dad is easier to get things out of, such as money and permission. It is amazing to see how 2 different personalities can have such a strong relationship, almost 18 years! The other people in my family that have impacted me more than I ever would have wanted them to would be my siblings. My little sister is the closest in age to me, she being 14 whereas I’m 16. My sis...
My grandmother's house is so comforting because she makes everyone feel at home and welcomed in her house. My grandmother is one who can instantly tell when something is wrong but won’t say anything until you bring it up yourself. Of course waiting on me to let out my feelings is like waiting on racism to be instinct. My Grandmother, Inez , she just has a way “a grandmothers touch” that gives you the guidance and peacefulness you need whether to help you make a decision or just to lift your spirits. Her house is exactly who she is , its quiet and peaceful, clean, cozy and welcoming. She doesn't judge just helps to steer you the right way, so her house is like a place where you can be yourself with no limitations and just be at ease and clarity.
