World War I is recognized as the first war, the Great War, the war of the nations and the war to end all wars. It was a conflict of wars that lasted from august 1914 to the final truce on November 11, 1918. Although it only lasted four years, it was the most destructive war that had ever happened in history. The death toll was about eight and a half million people and it wounded roughly twenty million or more. The war ended up destroying empires and economies and forever changing all of Europe. The allied powers had defeated the central powers, therefor leading to the fall of four empires and a huge change in the map of Europe. There are plenty of reasons on why World War I was so different from all the past conflicts. For example it was the first time in nearly one hundred years that all major countries where fighting. Another reason on why it was a different type of war was of the fact that the over sea had possessions. All the fighting was inevitable. A huge roll that made World War I truly modern was the Industrial Revolution. It was no longer a man-to-man war. The invention of guns as well as the machine gun made anybody a death threat.
There isn’t one main cause that sparked the war, plenty of incidents led up to the war, For example, the assassination of the archduke of Austria-Hungary on Sunday June twenty eighth 1914, in Sarajevo bonsai. He was shot and killed by an eighteen year old male named Gavrillo Princip whom was a part of a group of assassins. The European alliances were definitely added to the reasons on why world war one happened as well as nationalism, imperialism, militarism and all of the physical conflicts leading up to the war. All of these reason rose great questioning of the war ever ending. The powers ...

Unfortunately due to the way World War I was ended it sparked the start of world war I. it led Hitler to con the people into giving him power. The U S was sucking Germany dry, which pissed off Hitler there for him taking a stand. Hitler did blame World War I on the Jewish as well as the world punishing Germany, which I believe is an ever-lasting influence.
World War I, was the war that changed the course of history forever. It changed the shape of Europe. The war not only ended the life of millions of people, but also two of the major empires of Europe. The Great War not only affected Europe but also had a tremendous impact on America's economy, it was one of the factors that inflicted with the Great Depression. Furthermore the biggest consequence of World War I, was Word War II the most destructive war that the modern world has ever seen.
War is what keeps a nation from dying, it is the backbone of a country. This is the shown throughout the course of World War I, also known as “the war to end all wars.” World War I started in the summer of 1914. Archduke Francis Ferdinand, from the Austro – Hungarian Empire was visiting Bosnia. He was shot, along with his wife, Sofia, by a young man from the Black Hand, Gavrillo Princip. What were the three main factors that started World War I? There were three main underlying causes that started World War I: greed, nationalism, and militarism.
World War I, also referred to as the Great War, was global conflict among the greatest Western powers and beyond. From 1914-1918, this turf war swept across rivaling nations, intensifying oppositions and battling until victory was declared. World War I was immediately triggered by the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, however several long-term causes also contributed. The growing development of militarism, the eruption of powerful alliances, as well as the spread of imperialism, and a deepening sense of nationalism, significantly promoted to the outbreak of the Great War.
Women replaced men in factories, offices, and shops while the men were at war so that everything would be working smoothly. The main underlying causes of World War 1 were the alliances and imperialism in Europe. The underlying cause of World War 1 were the alliances within Europe. An alliance means that if one country goes to war, then the country associated will also fight. All the countries were picking sides before the war started.
In 1914, with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife from Austro-Hungarian Empire caused an enormous war called World War I, that killed and injured about thirty million lives. It also destroyed the economy later on. World War I changed combat tactics in a whole new way, where people would die in a blink of an eye. Commanders and soldiers did not know about the capabilities of their new arsenals. The new industrialized developed weapons devastated the battlefield with blood, mountain of corpses, and small craters. Some of the weapons that were used were machine guns, poison gas, mortars, and tanks. Soldiers described the battlefield as a nightmare. This was the start of a new era arising through warfare. A very dangerous way to bring great change to the world but was not intended. World War I brought great changes to the world but, considering the countless deaths, it was the worst war ever, an inhumane war.
All this Conflict eventually resulted in the begining of Worls War I. The causes of World War I were the intense nationalism that dominated Europe throughout the 19th and into the 20th century, and the establishment of large armies in Europe after 1871. Imperialism created a rivaly between nations and empires. The build up of armies and navies created fear between nations. France feared Germany, Germany feared Russia, Austria-Hungary and Russia rivaled around Bulkans, Britain feared German's expanding navy, Slovakia wanted to free Slavian land from Astria-Hungary's apressi on.
There were many causes to WW1, the main causes were Militarism, Imperialism, and Alliances. Militarism was a leading cause to WW1 because the military wanted to get better weapons, to have more security and that made other countries jealous.Imperialism was another cause to WW1 because countries wanted to increase their colonies, Army and to do that they needed to take control of other countries.Alliances were a leading cause to WW1 because countries were blaming each other and that created a lot of tension between them, the war
World War I which was known as a war that ended all the other wars and as the Great War finally came to an end in 1918 changing life in many countries especially in the United States of America either in a negative or positive way. World War I was a war fought from the years 1914 to 1918 in Europe between members of the Triple Alliance and Triple Entente. The triple entente was formed of people from Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, and the United States. The triple alliance on the other hand consisted of members of Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey, and Bulgaria. The Great War brought many changes throughout the whole world. One of the countries that was reshaped after the Great War was the United States. Life in the United States after World War I was no longer the same.
World War I was a very deadly war with over 100 million human casualties(deaths plus injured). Therefore war is a very transformative event for humanity, because it always affects individuals, societies, and even the world in a pessimistic way.
World War I was a huge war. Several countries were involved in World War I. Many lives were lost during this horrible time. Many people believe that imperialism, nationalism, and militarism caused it all to happen.
The society could not support a long war. The First World War left no aspect of European civilization untouched as pre-war governments were transformed to fight total war. The war metamorphed Europe socially, politically, economically, and intellectually. European countries channeled all of their resources into total war, which resulted in enormous social change. The result of working together for a common goal seemed to be unifying European societies.
War is like many things in life. War has made big changes a lot over time. Most things are unknown about war but there are some major differences between World war I and World War II. There are many different ways that World War I and World War II are different from each other. There are many differences between them. One difference between World War I and World War II is they had different reasons .World War I began because of an assassination. World War II began because Adolf Hitler did not keep his word and follow the Treaty of Versailles. Another way they are different is one was more destructive than the other World War II was very much worse than World War I . Lastly they both had different technology. Most people focus on how much both wars are so much alike. Such as who the wars were between; france, Austria-Hungary,Britain,and Germany. Mainly people do not realize how much they are different. Both wars are different in many ways but here are just a few things that made a major impact on what made them different.
World War I is known as a war that occurred on extremely cruel terms; there were not many restrictions on what and when certain weapons could be used. Unfortunately, the Industrial Age brought with it many new ways to kill; the soldiers of World War I came in contact with many new weapons that they had never seen in combat.
There are many reasons why World War One occurred in 1914, many are complex and remain controversial, which is why the matter has been disputed to this day by historians all over the world. My theory is that a lot of those reasons and the trigger factor all link to one thing: the alliance system. The alliance system is what makes countries oppose each other and become rivals, making it the most significant factor. It had an impact on who supported who when Duke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. This was only the spark that started the war in Europe.
World War 1 was called “The Great War”, “The war to end all wars”, and “The first modern war”. It had many causes and a few repercussions and I will describe them in detail.
World War One was a war that would change the way countries fight their battles for the rest of time. The large economies previous to the war allowed countries to create technology, and weapons that would create more damage than ever seen before. There were more countries, and better technology which caused this war to be the most brutal in the world’s history. It introduced things such as airplanes, tanks, grenades, automatic weapons, and the horrific trench warfare. This was a war so destructive that President Wilson would stay out of and keep the United States neutral, causing an economic boom from selling weapons to European countries; until it was time for the U.S. to get involved. Money, technology, and the friendship of countries would end up in a horrific mess that would scar the world forever.
