A Hero Is A True Hero

What is a true hero? Everyone has a different point of view on the nature of a hero. Some think heroes are brave or strong and smart. However what about kids or adults that are scrawny and have social anxiety. Being a hero means you have the characteristics of making a positive change on the world; however, not all heroes abide by the laws, have courage or bravery, and resist temptations of evil.

To get a goal accomplished sometimes you have to break a rule . Most heroes need to break a rule in order to get their goal accomplished. In the story “Robin Hood”, Robin wanted to give to the poor and because he was not rich enough ; he decides to rob the rich to give to the poor. Howard Zinn once said “Protest beyond the law is not a departure from democracy; it is absolutely essential to it”. Mr. Zinn simply states that to break or, go against a law is not a separation from the government but it proves a point or is necessary to have. Technically if there was no one to commit the crime we wouldn’t need the rules or laws. Being a hero is put yourself at risk for others. This situation occurs in the “Hunger Games” where Katniss Everdeen offers herself as tribute even though it was a possibility that she would be killed to save her sister Primrose Everdeen. Not only did Katniss put herself as tribute but in the end she threatens to commit suicide with her “sidekick” Peeta Mellark. This is against rules and so they must award both as the victor which later on creates an uprising. So if you truly want to help, it involves putting yourself at risk you are considered a true hero . In conclusion every hero has flaws nobody is perfect and no one will ever be perfect. hero’s will make mistakes and some have had a dark past. Not all heroes will abide by the law, sometimes if you truly care about someone you have to put yourself at risk to save them. Not everyone will have courage everyone is afraid of something and you won’t gain the courage you need unless you conquer fears, whether it be heights or gang members . You don’t have to be strong enough to pick up a car. Most times you can defeat evil with love. A true hero is someone who would do something in a heartbeat to save someone, or is a person that wants to make a positive change in the world and carries their plan out.
