Introduction
As you drive in your car today do you ever think to yourself where did all this start? Who made it the invention of the car, when and where? As the best friend of Henry Ford. I’m here to tell you the questions you want to hear.
Story
Henry Ford was born July 30, 1863, on a farm in Greenfield Township, Michigan. His father William Ford was born in Country Cork Ireland and his mother Mary Ford was born in Michigan. Henry Ford spent his childhood on his family's farm, located outside of Detroit, MI. When Henry was twelve, his mother died during childbirth. Henrys father gave him a pocket watch in his early teens. At 15, Henry dismantled and reassembled watches and clocks of friends and neighbors dozens of times, and gained the reputation of a watch repairman. Henry repaired my watch plenty of times. I had the very first Rolex Oyster watch, in other words, the world's first water-resistant timepiece. This was no easy watch to work on and just watching how much he loved to take things apart and put it back together just made me think he’s going to invent something big one day. I came from a rather wealthy family and this is how I met Henry. Him being only fourteen and I was just barely thirteen I was always being impressed on how good he was at fixing things mechanically. I had a huge crush on Henry and when I would break ...

...air driving 1 mile in 39.4 seconds and setting a new land speed record at 91.3 miles per hour also had convinced the race driver Barney Oldfield to drive his car which made him worldwide”. That was the last time I heard from Henry I guess you could say that he made it big time and forgot about me. I soon settled down with my husband in 1943 and was driving a car made by Henry himself called the Model T.Me and my husband were planning on moving to Italy in two weeks with our son Tom Link. I went to visit my mom and she gave me an article about how Henry and his wife were anti-Semitic. From 1919 to 1927, his newspaper, the Dearbopendentrn Inde, had a pamphlet called "The International Jew. I had a full life of excitement and even though I didn’t get o be with the man of my dreams I was glad to be a part of his life but my forgotten love will always remain for him.
Henry Ford was a captain of industry. He owned Ford Motors, which was an automobile company. Ford was a man who always wanted his own way and he got it most of the time. The creation he is most famous for is the FORD MODEL T, the car for the commoners. His car became an instant hit amongst the people- the local people and the working class of people because it was very affordable and was not just for the rich. Ford was a very successful businessman but not particularly a nice guy. He expected a lot from his workers but thing is that he also cared for his workers, because he knew that not only were they dependent on him but also that he depended upon them, they were the ones due to which he was gaining popularity and success throughout America. Ford’s great strength was the manufacturing process for his cars. Instead of having people put together the entire car he created organized teams that added parts to the Model T as it moved down the assembly line, this lowered the production prices and also the time and energy required to put together the cars.
Prompt #3: “Most often, literary works have both internal conflict (individual v. self) and external conflict (individual v. individual, society, nature, or technology)”.
Gerald Ford was born on July 14, 1913 in Omaha, Nebraska. His real name at that time was Leslie Lynch King, Jr. His mother’s name was Dorothy Ford. When Ford was an infant, his parents divorced. When Henry turned 40 he was broke and washed up. Even after this he went in to the ALAM to get a licence to build his cars, he was shot down. He went on to try for more investors, he again was shot down. Now without investment and no licence he still went on to try and build his cars. This time he just did the necessity not the lucry. This worked! In the first month of his work he built and sold 1700 cars. This was a big thing back then! But he doesn't stop there he goes on to sell 300,000 cars yearly!! Thats half of today's sales!! Ford became one of the highest selling cars available. He came from the bottom to the top l...
Henry Ford was born on July 30 in 1863 in Greenfield Township, Michigan he was one of the first American industrialists and wanted to make a difference in the automobile industry. Back then, before 1908 automobiles were expensive that only rich people could afford. Henry Ford wanted to change this and wanted everyone to have a vehicle to drive. He was able to accomplish this by the assembly line, in which it created more cars in less time. The first car Henry Ford made was the Model T created on the assembly line. Ford’s innovation in manufacturing created less expensive cars and higher wage jobs.
Robert Nozick’s Love’s Bond is a clear summary of components, goals, challenges, and limitations of romantic love. Nozick gives a description of love as having your wellbeing linked with that of someone and something you love. I agree with ideas that Nozick has explained concerning the definition of love, but individuals have their meaning of love. Every individual has a remarkable thing that will bring happiness and contentment in their lives. While sometimes it is hard to practice unconditional love, couples should love unconditionally because it is a true love that is more than infatuation and overcomes minor character flaw.
Henry Ford I, the founder of Ford Motor Company, was born on a farm near Dearborn, Mi in 1869. From boyhood, he had a talent for engineering, but it was not until 1890 that he commenced his engineering career as an employee of the Detroit Edison Company. Ford’s superiors at the electric company felt his hobby distracted him from his regular occupation, and despite his promotion to chief engineer, he was forced to quit in 1899.
Henry Ford was born June 30, 1863 in Greenfield Township, Michigan or what is now Dearborn, Michigan. As a young boy Henry and a group of boys got together to build water wheels and steam engines. When Henry was sixteen he left his father’s farm to become an apprentice at Michigan Car Company he was a manufacturer for railroad cars in Detroit, Michigan. Three years later Henry came back home and he worked servicing and operating steam engines. In 1896 Henry moved to Detroit with his wife where he worked as an engineer for the Edison Electric Illuminating Company. He rose to chief engineer in 1896 and later that year he built the Quadricycle on June 4 in his workshop in his backyard.
The article, “Measurement of Romantic Love” written by Zick Rubin, expresses the initial research aimed at presenting and validating the social-psychological construct of romantic love. The author assumed that love should be measured independently from liking. In this research, the romantic love was also conceptualized to three elements: affiliative and depend need, an orientation of exclusiveness and absorption, and finally a predisposition to help.
When Henry Ford was born on June 30th, 1863, neither him nor anyone for that matter, knew what an important role he would take in the future of mankind. Ford saw his first car when he was 12. He and his father where riding into Detroit at the time. At that moment, he knew what he wanted to do with his life: he wanted to make a difference in the automobile industry. Through out his life, he achieved this in an extraordinary way. That is why he will always be remembered in everyone’s heart. Whenever you drive down the road in your car, you can thank all of it to Henry Ford. Through his life he accomplished extraordinary achievements such as going from a poor farm boy to a wealthy inventor who helped Thomas Edison. When he was a young man, he figured out how to use simple inventions, such as the light bulb. He then taught himself the design of a steamboat engine. His goal was to build a horse-less carriage. He had come up with several designs and in 1896, he produced his first car, the Model A. When Ford’s first car came out, he had been interviewed by a reporter and when asked about the history of the car, he had said “History is more or less bunk.” Ford worked in Thomas Edison’s factory for years and the left to become an apprentice for a car-producer in Detroit. While working there, he established how he was going to make the car.
Ninety percent of Americans marry by the time that they are fifty; however, forty to fifty percent of marriages end in divorce ("Marriage and Divorce"). Love and marriage are said to go hand in hand, so why does true love not persist? True, whole-hearted, and long-lasting love is as difficult to find as a black cat in a coal cellar. Loveless marriages are more common than ever, and the divorce rate reflects this. The forms of love seen between these many marriages is often fleeting. Raymond Carver explores these many forms of love, how they create happiness, sadness, and anything in between, and how they contrast from true love, through his characters in "What We Talk About When We Talk About Love". Four couples are presented: Mel and Terri, Nick and Laura, Ed and Terri, and, most importantly, an unnamed elderly couple; each couple exhibits a variation on the word love.
In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the interpretations of love held by the character Romeo contrast greatly with the views of Mercutio. Mercutio is very dramatic and hot headed. His perceptions are vibrant and hasty, categorized by detailed thought and cautious evaluation. Romeo, ideal to his character begins his entrance in the play by self-pitying in his depression over Rosaline who does not return his love:
The poem “Love Is Not All” is a poem about what love cannot do for a person’s physical health and what love is not. Love is not food, water, medicine, shelter, or sleep, but love is still essential to people. Millay wrote “Love Is Not All” to show people what love is not, but by the end of the poem, Millay states that she does not think that she would trade her love for peace in a moment of suffering or the memories of a night with her lover for food. Love may not be food or water or shelter, but love can help prevent wars and suicide and other horrible events that happen in the world. The theme of “Love Is Not All” is that love is worthless when it comes to a person’s physical needs, but love is essential to a person’s mental needs.
In "The Love Potion" the author uses a special potion to make people fall in love. The author in "The Goodness of St. Rocque" potrayal of love is through the spirit. Both authors are reaching their goals of showing love in their stories. They also have different potrayal's of love .
Love has been the cause of some of the greatest feats, discoveries, and battles in the history of man. It has driven men to insanity and despair, while it has lead others to happiness and bliss. This idea that love has a strong influence on man’s decisions can be seen in the poem, “Love is not all” by Edna St. Vincent Millay. The most prominent theme presented in “Love is not all” is that although love is not a necessity of life, it somehow manages to provoke such great desire and happiness that it becomes important.
