Love is a very ambitious situation, if you are not careful, it can make you do ridiculous things. As much as it is beautiful, it is also dangerous. At times you have to be attentive and be sure that the person is feeling the same as you do. Someone once told me that people fall in love with the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time. In the two movies The Land of Blood and Honey and The Lives of Others, there was unexpected romance that arose from both films and it all happened at the wrong time. The obstacles these relationships face were due to promises. The promises weren’t about making changes; they were about not facing them alone. Nevertheless, where there is love, there is also betrayal.
The two movies had a few connections and disparities. Starting off with one of the connections, the two women from each movie had a passion for art, which their beloved were yearning for. Despite the fact that there were cherishing moments involved, there were also many

In the Land of Blood and Honey, Aija and Daniel came from two different religious background. Aija was Moslem and Daniel was a Christian Serb. During the war, Daniel and Aija were enemies due to their religious background and also because their families were on opposite sides. In fact, Aija and Daniel’s love began prior to the Bosnian War. Although they loved one another truly, they could not trust each other. Aija knew that her nephew had been murdered and also that Daniel was involved in the slaying of her nephew which broke her heart, therefore she could not fully trust him. The point of betrayal comes into play when Aija joined the Moslem community outside of the concentration camp (due to the fact that she had escaped) and later returned only to find what Daniel’s next plan and to report it back to the Moslem community. Unfortunately, Daniel later found out what Aija had done and therefore had to kill
... Diana both authors illustrate that one cannot control his or her fate. In both plays the authors use these characters as a medium for their own beliefs, to express their tone and overall message to the audience.
time of their works, they both had many similarities in the theme of their stories and their goals of writing the stories.
...s, the directors of both films were able to use characters to express social issues and the political lunacy of 20th century America. Whether it was Bonnie and Clyde or Annie and Bart, these couples mirrored the resistance against order otherwise known as the government. The socialist overtones are died down by the thrills and action in the films yet, retaining the original message: Be aware of what is happening in our society and the government's involvement in socio-cultural spaces. Joseph H. Lewis's characters and the use of noir to break from order into the element of chaos; moving from ignorance and mindless obeisance to awareness and individualism. Arthur Penn uses of depression era gangsters reflect the grim events of the 60's. In conclusion, the couples of both films are similar through social-historical contexts as well as film elements of order and chaos.
While these two pieces have many similarities and differences, they have a common purpose, to allow a viewer to experience a bit of nature. The two artists used their own unique styles to depict a similar scene that resulted in two different paintings that each allow a viewer to experience this bit of nature in whatever way they interpret it. This is sort of the whole point of art, and it seems that both of these pieces captured that point very well.
By analyzing both paintings, it proves to show how the differences in artistic approach still demonstrate an analogous theme of depression.
West Bank Story is a short musical comedy movie. Online dictionary explains musical comedy that is a comedic play or movie in which dialogue is interspersed with songs, especially one with a focus on musical numbers and a simple plot. In addition, in 2007, at the 79th Academy Awards, West Bank Story won the Oscar in the category Best Live Action Short Film (Wikipedia "West Bank"). This short movie talks about a love story between a Palestinian woman and an Israeli soldier in West Bank. People, especially who are from Palestine and Middle East countries, love this movie even though this is based on the Israelis and Arabs, and a conflicting territory. There are two impressive aspects in this successful movie that should be pointed out; the value of love can conquer and change anything and the director`s talent.
Overall, I enjoyed both works thoroughly. I think each one clearly conveys the essence of skill, symbolism, discipline, beauty, and tradition. For this reason, I think both works more than adequately represent the integrity of the interrelated cultures that they belong to.
Things that are similar about the two novels and how both of their dreams were crushed are both are groups of people who have these dreams and each finds or meets something that can help their dreams come true, the pearl and Candy. Furthermore, the realization of their dreams coming to an end is, in both books, caused by the death of someone who is a part of the dream, Coyotito and Lennie.
...ered the writer and his style. Their similarities are common in many of their stories. The themes of these two works are no exception, and share many mutual points, despite the plot differences.
Although both movie displayed many similarities they also had very different styles representative of the decade both directors accomplished
...late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me/That I must love a loathed enemy.”(ACT I, Scene 5, Lines 152-155) Juliet had just found out that the man at the party she loved was one her family’s enemy. Love was evil and ruled her feelings. It messed with her feelings and made her fall in love with a foe. All in all, love will toy around with your feelings and there is nothing you can do to stop it.
They both depict stories about African American troubled teens who are rescued by kind strangers. Both directors depict their movies with intimate, real, emotions. They are heartwarming tales about overcoming difficulties in life and acquiring a stroke of good fortune from some helping hands. They are unashamedly, tissue hugging movies that anyone can appreciate. They have perfect balance of compassion, comedy, and drama. Although the films do have cliché, familiar moments which get annoying they still encompass Michael's and Precious’ special
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.” But where do you draw the line? When does love become impatient, unkind and rude? When do you know that it is no longer love but something lethal? The simple answer is you don’t; even when you have inner and outer voices telling you that this isn’t how you’re supposed to be living. “True love” is hard to find, well at least that’s what’s always said; once you find that on hold on tight because it doesn’t happen often. You’ll never feel the euphoria with anyone else but that person. You eventually just accepted the things he does because you constantly think of the joy he brings. Where can you feel more at home than in his arms? You’ve been told all this time to uproot but where to? The lying, insults, false love and cheating won’t break this unbreakable bond until you are br...
Love is hard and always will be. Feelings can get so caught up each day that it is hard to know which way is the right way to feel. It can be easy to get so used to what our mind is trying to tell us to do that we do not give our heart the chance to show us what actually to do. With all the criticism and opinions, we have no reason to carry our hearts on our sleeves when we know how we truly feel towards someone. Any feeling can be confusing, especially when something seems so right. Feelings begin to turn into thoughts that eventually become unexplainable.
Not all love are perfect, there are times that people make mistakes to their loved ones and it depends to the person if he/she wanted to fix it or not. That’s what I saw in kita- kita’s movie, we can see some parts where love is wrong. As you can see in the movie, Nobu (boyfriend) is cheating to Lea by having another girl. We know that it is wrong to love someone when you’re in a relationship. He needs to be loyal to his partner if you really love them because why did you enter to that relationship when you can’t prove it. All the time Lea thought that Nobu is busy in his work. Another one is Nobu is a self- centered boyfriend, he doesn’t care what Lea would feel if they won’t celebrate their anniversary. The third one is Lea and Tonyo are both fool to their first love. Tonyo ruined his life by drinking a lot of beer everyday though he knew that it’s not good for his health, he resigned in his work and lived as a beggar in
