Dallas Cowboys take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Turkey Day
The Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles/San Diego Chargers don’t quite have the rivalry of a Washington Redskins or a Philadelphia Eagles but either way, the games between these two are always good ones.
Out of the ten games these two have played, one game has been a blowout. It was a 23-9 victory for the Dallas Cowboys on October 15th, 1995. Troy Aikman was QB1 at the time, while the Chargers had backup quarterback Gale Gilbert for the injured Stan Humphries. It was the only start for Gilbert, who had a forgettable day with 20 completions from 32 attempts for 206 yards and three interceptions. He was sacked six times during the contest and had a quarterback rating of 41.9. All of

this, according to the Football Database. The Cowboys were 6-1 at the time and went on to win Super Bowl XXX against the Pittsburgh Steelers that season. On to this season, where times have changed as Dallas is currently 5-5, coming off of the 37-9 spanking by the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Los Angeles Chargers are coming off of a 54-24 stomping of the Buffalo Bills.
Health wise, the Chargers and Cowboys are both struggling in that area. Chargers did have seven players on the inactive list last weekend including Joe Barksdale, Sean Culkin, Geremy Davis, Chris McCain, Branden Oliver, James Onwualu, and Hayes Pullard. Dallas has Sean Lee still out. Tyron Smith is expected to play and look for kicker Dan Bailey to make his return after a groin injury. Anthony Hitchens is also ready to play after having himself a groin injury that took him out for a bit.
Analyzing the numbers, the Cowboys and Chargers match up well against each other on the offensive side of the ball, as Dallas has the 24th ranked offense, while the Chargers are one spot below. The Cowboys passing game ranks 26th among the NFL, as second year quarterback Dak Prescott has been struggling as of late. His biggest problem is not having Smith on his blind side, blocking for him. Prescott has been sacked 12 times in the last two games. The Chargers fare better being 12th in the NFL. Phillip Rivers had a slow start but with winning four out of the last six games, LA is starting to show signs of life. Their running game ranks 25th in the NFL and that could cause a problem. Dallas still ranks 4th among the other 31

teams. Defensively, Big D can and should run well against a run defense that ranks last in the league.
With the Cowboys getting Smith back, Prescott should stay off of his back. He will have a problem against the Charger passing game that ranks among the top ten (8th). Meanwhile, the Chargers shouldn’t have a problem moving the ball as Dallas is not very good on defense. They aren’t the worst but they allow over 330 total yards (15th), over 215 yards passing (14th), and 115 yards rushing (21st). LAC is stingy with their points, allowing only 19.6 per game. The Cowboys are a little more generous by allowing 24.2. Considering that the offense scores 24 points and the Chargers score 22.1 points per game, this should be a close
game. Keys to the game are very simple for Dallas to win this game. 1. RUN, Dallas, RUN—Get Alfred Morris and Rod Smith the ball often. Activate Darren McFadden and scare the hell out of the Chargers run defense. 2. Contain the passing game of Phillip Rivers.—DAL doesn’t have the best passing game but this is a winnable game to get the Cowboys out of their funk. Put pressure on Rivers all game long and keep the offense on the field. 3. Win the clock game.—Last weekend against the Eagles the Cowboys won the time of possession battle but it surely wasn’t enough. Especially considering how much time was wasted scrapping Prescott off of the AT&T Stadium turf. Win this significantly and the Cowboys should do better. 4. Score fast, score often.—Score early in the ball game and get the crowd into the game. Getting points early will set the tone for the rest of the ball game. For this, Dallas should win this game by four points, 28-24.
It is the reason fans fill the stadiums or turn them into ghost towns. If you were to look up success in the NFL one would probably see a picture of the Patriots. Six trips to the Super Bowl, fourteen winning records, and making the playoffs fourteen out of fifteen times within a fifteen year period are all hallmarks of their success. Comparing that to the Cowboys’ one playoff win, zero Super Bowl appearances, and five winning records within that same time span really shows which team has enjoyed more
there are many things you can compare and contrast between the superbowl and the NBA finals their are many things you can compare between these two,the superbowl is better for a lot of things, Halftime, also the team winning the trophy , like the Denver Broncos and the New England patriots. The Dodgers and the Mets will be playing each other come the playoffs and the games that will be played will be especially interesting because of the shared similarities between these two sides. Both have a mix of good pitching, up and down offense, and have very similar records. These records will play a huge part in determining who gets home field advantage and I think that will play a huge role in the team that wins the best of
My family and I are big Giants fans, and one time, we were at a Giants game. At this Giants game, they were losing to the Redskins almost the entire game. At the end, the Giants were losing by six points, with about 5 seconds left to
Despite a dominant 40-10 win against the San Fransisco 49ers, it is not all good news for the Dallas Cowboys looking back on Sunday evening’s showing. The Dallas Cowboy’s lost All-Pro kicker, Dan Bailey, mid game, due to a groin strain in his kicking leg. It was announced this morning that Bailey could be out for several weeks while recovering.
However, if Shepherd can find a way to step up his game and prove he is worth the long-term investment, making the final roster for the season or, at least, being assigned to the practice squad is a win for him. All of this will be contingent on the idea that he is healthy, but there is a sneaky strong reason to believe that he could surprise the coaching staff in training camp.
Going to a Carolina Panthers football game and it was great! I used sight, hearing, smelling, feeling, and tasting when I went. Out of all the NFL games I have been to, this was by far my favorite. There was so much to do when I went there.
The 49ers up until last year have had the best superbowl record out of any team that has ever played in a superbowl they were a astonishing 5-0. For the longest time SanFrancisco was known as the team that doesn’t loose superbowls. In the five superbowls that the 49ers have won they have outscored all 5 of their opponents by 99 points.
