You had better know what you want to do when you get older and you better like it because that is what you will be doing for the rest of your life. However, most of the jobs today needs at least 2-4 years of schooling. I want to be a lawyer. A lawyer will almost always get paid a lot to represent someone or some business. All a lawyer has to do is argue for their client and make them sound good and help them out in legal cases. Also, the lawyer gets to tell their client how much they want to be paid. I think that a lawyering job would be good for me because I love to argue, persuade people, and help people. There are few careers that the general public has the most misconceptions about and lawyers are one of the most common.

Currently, to start a career you will most likely have to have some sort of college degree. That fact is the reason students are attending, and being encouraged to attend college. I know that in my experience, all throughout my K-12 life I was urged to get good grades so I can get into a good college, and then get a well-paying job. College today has transformed into a cycle where there is a set path: good grades, good

When we were little, we thought the word “Career” was not a big deal, but as a senior in high school, the word has become our reality as we start to finish our last semester. The question we’ve been asked all these years is, what do you want to be when you grow up? But our answer is simple: we don’t want to grow up. As an innocent kid it seemed like the time would never come, but it has. It’s time to get serious and really ponder this question.
The paralegal profession developed as legal secretaries assumed additional duties to help attorneys with their workload. The paralegal performs legal tasks under the supervision of an attorney that maximizes attorneys' productivity and cost efficiency in the delivery of legal services. Paralegals work in many different types of law firms, corporations or government agencies in many areas of law (Hollingshead). All duties performed by a paralegal are under the supervision of an attorney who is responsible for the paralegal’s conduct. In fact, the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Paralegals define paralegals or legal assistants [used synonymously] as a person qualified by education, training or work experiences, who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, government agency, or other entity who performs specific delegated legal substantive work for which a lawyer is responsible (ABA). In class, we learne...
As we begin to grow up and come to the end of our high school career we must start to begin to start thinking about what type of career we want to be in. It is very important that a person picks the right type of career for them. Otherwise you will be unhappy with what you are doing and will not enjoy it at all. I am not entirely sure what I want my career to be but I have a pretty good idea as to what type of job it will be. I would like to go into the field of a physical therapist and sports medicine, I fell I will enjoy this more than any other type of career just because I already have a lot of interest in it.
I have chosen to use a criminal defense lawyer as my primary legal career for this discussion board. A criminal defense lawyer, is a lawyer who specializes in defending an individual or a company that has been charged with a crime. Criminal defense lawyers have to deal with many different circumstances. For instance, arrests, criminal charges, investigations, sentencing, appeals, and even post-trial issues. However, a lot of criminal defense lawyers will choose to specialize in a certain type of criminal defense. For instance, drug defense, or even DUI defense. Criminal defense lawyers often have to work out substantive issues in connection with their clients supposed crime. Many times criminal defense lawyers will be helping a client even before charges have been filed against them by
You spend most your life working. You only have so many years that you have free to do what you want. Would you want to spend your whole life doing something that you love or something that just pays well? For me, the answer is to do something I love. I would like to be a chiropractor. To achieve my goal I have to get a bachelor's degree. I will also have to earn the doctor of chiropractic degree. Additionally, I will love the environment this job has. Not to mention, it still pays well.
Imagine pulling into your driveway and seeing your neighbor’s house surrounded by police, flashing lights, and caution tape with bodies covered in white sheet on the lawn. It was a drive by shooting. Next, a van pulls up and a Criminal Investigator steps out and starts assessing the crime scene. She begins taking photos, marking shell casings, packaging evidence, documenting tire treads on the pavement and inspecting and collecting DNA evidence from the bodies. Criminal Investigators are highly trained college graduates that are a vital part of bringing criminals to justice.
Loving to argue, speak, and to persuade/convince, I have chosen to research the career of a lawyer. I have always been intrigued by the audacity and wit that lawyers have naturally. I will explain the steps in order to be on the right path in order to become a lawyer.
These two lawyers are pioneers. They worked hard to overcome adversity and be successful lawyers. Leslie Abramson showed that women can overcome the stigma of only being housewives. The test. The test, www.yourfreecareertest.com, that decided our life, what career we fit into. After thinking hard about the questions and answering in full thought, I was matched with law enforcement for 83%. I was elated when I found out that the category contains a criminal lawyer, which is the profession I always wanted to be apart of. As it matches my personality like pieces of a puzzle. I love to organize, be in control, to present my opinions that feel all the way to my heart, and figure problems out while challenging myself with anything thrown at me. As a lawyer, I would be cheerful to go to an office and sit down to help someone out. Also the pay, with a starting salary of $45,00 and an average salary of $114,300 and more.
Growing up as a little baby in society, I was faced with many professions. From nurses to lawyer to police officers to doctors. When I was about 7 years of age, I always played Mrs. Detective, where I am always solving a crime and locking the bad guys up. But as I grew, I tend to consider my career, because, becoming a police officer is too risky, and I do not like risks. So, when I was ten years of age I decided I wanted to become a lawyer. Lawyer was fun for me, and, I strongly believed that I could solve cases and defend my clients with the best of my abilities, so my aunt gave me a ‘court set,’ where I had everything that I could find in a real court setting; a judge, witness etc. I would play with my court setting every day, and I was the best lawyer ever, no one could ever beat me in court, I won all my cases.
Overall, a law career is not always painted in the kindest light. There a thousands of stories of lawyers who have represented horrible people or have done terrible deeds in order to win a case. When I first thought about law, I completely disregarded the possibility because I did not want to be that person. Then, I realized that I did not have to be that person. Instead, I could do amazing things with a law degree. There are lawyers who work internationally to improve the lives of other people, who help people in need, and thousands of other people who promote peace instead of violence. That is exactly what made me decide to pursue a law degree. The only downside to this is the amount of money and years it will take to pursue this path.
Career as a lawyer is very respectful as they serve to maintain the law and order. They are responsible for providing justice to the innocent and punishment to the offenders. Career as Lawyer on one side is challenging and risky but on the other side, it is prestigious and honorable as well.
