Introduction
My job is Culinary which means cooking and preparation and serving of food. I chose this career because I love cooking food and I come from a family who cooks a lot and I would love to have the experience to cook meals. Right now I am taking “Intro to Culinary Arts” and a stretch for me is to cook a meal that I have never cooked before and this is something I am very interested in and to me it is a challenge. However, there are not a lot of possibilities for advancement for a chef. For those who leave a cooking facility, they would like to have people who have the best experience to work in restaurants and other buildings. The more experience a person has, the more of a possibility they will have that job.
Technology
There have been recent changes in the cooking industry. The Guardian News vindicates that “temperature probes, designed to be inserted into foods such as meat, fish, pies, and bread loaves to ensure thorough cooking or a preferred level of “doneness”. (“Davis”). It seems as if they are trying to make an easier way to cook. They use technology to consider new gadgets and equipment to help out in the kitchen to make cooking fun and simple.
There have been ideas for future changes in the cooking industry. The Guardian News declares that they are “waiting for the right moment to reach for the next ingredient, Moley Robotics, incorporating two enormous arms and a pair of surprisingly nimble hands robo-chef moves its arms as if in a shrug.” (“Davis”). With this gadget, it seems that a person can easily control this with an app and manage what it will cook and what time to start. The Environmental Protection Agency addresses that “Pesticides are widely used in producing food to control pests such as insects, rodents, weeds, bacteria, mold, and fungus.”(“Food and Pesticides”). “The science and our understanding of chemical risk evolves and EPA continues to reevaluate each pesticide’s safety every 15 years.” (“Food and Pesticides”). I don’t have one career goal; I have multiple career goals, because everything is a goal towards a greater goal. One needs to accomplish little things to achieve something bigger. When it comes to career goals I would like to be able to accomplish everything needed to be successful. With schooling I need to try hard and pass all my courses and receive all my credits in order to graduate. I also need to be able to pass my final exams. A major goal is graduation. Graduation is the main point to all of this. After I graduate my goal is to find a job in North Carolina at a hospital or clinic. There are many job settings for Healthcare administration, but in a hospital is my main goal. I wouldn’t mind working another setting, but a hospital is what I am shooting towards. Once I achieve this goal, I know I will what to bump my education up and try for my master’s degree. My career goal has always been to become an RN because I love helping people in every way possible and making them feel better. Becoming and RN will mean I get to do what I love every day. The career i want to pursue my life with is cosmetology. Being a cosmetologist is a unique job, depending on what your working with. Its different then alot of jobs, because you do different things with every customer. I think it would be alot of fun to be able to dye hair, cut hair, and style hair. I like to talk alot, and speaking to people is easy for me, and in cosmerology you have to talk to your customers or clients.
My Career The career field I chose is to be a firefighter. The reason why I want to be a firefighter is because they help people and prevent fires from spreading. I’ve always wanted to help people everywhere, because I don’t like it whenever there is an accident and some people die and lose their loved ones, people talking crap about them and just talking and pointing the cameras in their face watching them cry. I want to help people and make a difference and help protect people’s lives, and be someone people recognize when I walk by them.

What’s more, we should always be careful and share the information all the time, so that more children can grow up happily and healthy. Restaurants are kind of dangerous now, you never know if they are clean or not. That’s not the most important matter however; we have to be careful with what we are eating now. We have to pay more thoughtfulness to these foods we eat which are not healthful and always prevent buying them, when we find the restaurant is not clean enough, call the food safety department and never go again.
My dream career would be: Becoming a nurse. Nurses help people in many different ways. They work at a fast, but focused pace; work side by side with Doctors and surgeons. Nursing has been a dream of mine for many years. There are many different kinds of nurses. The nurse I would strictly want to become is a nurse specialized in geriatrics, taking care of people with dementia. To work in this field you have to have an understanding of what is all involved. Restaurants have been a part of people’s lives since they first started. However, the restaurant industry is not as perfectly clean and sanitary as people believe. Many things contribute to this, but the most important contributor is the factor of sanitation. Restaurants cannot be trusted in the area of sanitation.

However, being a professional chef comes with many obstacles such as, standing in the kitchen for long hours can cause health problems, or the amount of stress a chef deals with can be overwhelmed, and the unhealthy eating habits that leads to overweight and over-eating.
Classic kitchen brigade refers to the way the kitchen in restaurants and hotels are set up, with a hierarchy of positions and responsibilities and duties to go along with each position. The kitchen brigade separates the kitchen into several departments and helps to organize these departments. Every department/station pays an integral role in the kitchen and a well-qualified staff must be presented to ensure efficiency.
