As of right now there are approximately 3.95 million people employed in the job field as an electrical engineer. The employe rate has been up and down constantly over the years, but the last couple years it has been increasing. It is predicted over the next year to increase by 4.13%, and it supposed to continue to grow in the future years. There are numerous jobs under the field of electrical engineering such as: Aerospace engineers, architects, biomedical engineer, computer hardware engineer, electricians, sales engineers The different general duties of an electrical engineer …show more content…
Such as: designing different equipment to be used, military equipment, going and testing devices, or installing them. Charette also provides other articles that will give tips on how to use lifelong learning to counter the effect of becoming obsolete in your knowledge.
Analyzing career theory is an important task, not only as an individual but also on a large scale. If everyone has the career they are best at and enjoy above all others, the world would be a much happier place. Imagine a world where each individual viewed work as not something they have to do, but as something they want to do. Productivity would increase at all levels. Charitable foundations and businesses would be abundant. Whereas this ideal may not be fathomable at this point, if each person used this information, it would be only a matter of time before we are moving in that harmonious direction.
According to Kevin Roozen’s Literacy profile of Charles Scott Jr., a journalism writer, repurposing literacy means to,” Introduce material from outside sources that he [Charles] used for his news stories, but he also uses the information from [rhetoric class documents] to effectively develop and extend the points he is working to make”(8). Overall this means to use outside activities and reapply them an educational or research setting. An interesting example of repurposing literacy comes from Dr. Pendergraft and how he uses his hobby of being a pilot and applying it to his doctorial research. After conducting an interview

In order to get the licenses, I will have to complete a minimum number of years on the job.
If you enjoy challenging work and problem solving, your best place to be is in a small firm. If you enjoy problem solving but not to the severe degree as in a small firm, then your place is in a larger firm. Overall, the responsibilities and duties are basically the same. These duties include preparing cost benefit analysis on programs, determining copter soft and hardware needs, and debugging computers to eliminate errors.
The word engineer comes from the latin word ingeniare. ingeniare means construct or craftsmanship. Ever since the beginning of time we have had engineers. Engineering is the combination of math and science , solving world problems to help better the world around us. Being an engineer takes a lot of knowledge, creativity, and hard work. A typical engineer can clearly see a problem and is capable of fining a solution. A senior engineer or engineering manager usually doesnt do as much technical work, but usally lot of managing. Some of the first official engineers were military engineers. They were employed by the goverment to build such things as roads, bridges, and weapons. US mililary Academy at Westpoint was the first school to offer an education in enginnering. Engineering is a very broad field. Engineers are always at a high demand, we could never have enough brilliant minds making the world better. Engineers are needed everywhere. Engineering managers have to have a bachelor's degree or higher, they usually direct and seek solutions to problems and are sometimes called executi...
Electrical Engineers research, develop, design, and test electronic components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, and scientific applications (Cosgrove 749). They are concerned with devices that use small amounts of electricity that make up electronic components such as integrated circuits and microprocessors. By applying principles and techniques of electronic engineering they design, develop, and manufacture products such as computers, telephones, radios, and stereo systems (EGOE, 121). Electrical engineers touch everyone lives through the things they have designed or created. Electrical engineers have invented the lights in your house, the television, the stereo, the telephone, computers, and even your doctor’s blood pressure gauge (Stine 300).
I know that the major I chose as an electrical engineer is not an easy one, but I also know that this is the best fit for me, and that I chose the right one. Not only do I get to contribute to the ever-changing society that we live in, but I also face new challenges every day, which is exciting because that means that in my career each day is different, and I love taking on a new challenge, which will enhance my knowledge and make me a better electrical engineer.
Coming to the point of my current career choice has been a long road. My idea of what a career is or should be has changed with circumstances and age. According to Weintraub (2005), “the average worker spends only four years in a job and will have 12 jobs in as many as five career fields during his or her working life.” (para. 1) My first career was marriage and motherhood followed by a surprising healthcare career. What the future holds waits to be seen. With a bachelor of science degree in information technology the options are wide open.
People travel miles in search of their true passion; some find them early in their life and I consider myself lucky enough to be one among them. I found my true calling at the age of 12 on a field trip to a milk factory. It seemed like the Disneyland of science with huge machineries, conveyer belts running all around, and instruments working about in their own rhythm with sheer intricacies and perfection. As a kid, I was eager to understand the mechanics behind this magical rhythm. The desire of gaining in-depth knowledge about Control System and Automation eventually led me to choose Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering as my undergraduate study.
Many states require an electrician to have at least seven years of experience as an electrician or have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering for certification as a master electrician. “Knowledge, experience and the quality education are the best accomplishment in the race of life” is the statement in which I strongly believe and I forever yearn to have that. What is innovative today is obsolete tomorrow. We need to constantly streamline and upgrade our tools and resources. I believe that only an in depth study and an extensive research in my field of interest will help me to achieve my goal. I live in a world of changing times where technology is constantly engineering better lives. Brought up in a liberalized, humane and a capriciously technically charged environment, I see myself being a consistent part of constant changes around me. Today, my thoughts and aims in life spring from and centre around the world of Electrical Engineering.
The career I choose to pursue is the career of Business Administration. This career consists of running a small or big business and being able to run it and be capable of making small or very important decisions. A business runs and depends on the people and how people spend their money. If people spend their money responsibly and they know how to administrate their money and will make the economy to be stable and be good. As we all know, the economy has been really bad for the past year and it has made millions of people loose their homes and their jobs. The economy is a big factor in this career and it could be a huge problem that can be faced for a long period of time and more than once.
However, I am still not 100% certain what I want to do for a career. In finance, there are so many options to consider. For example, I’ve looked into being a financial manager, an investment banker, or even a corporate lawyer. If I were to choose financial management as my career, the latest Internet trends impact that industry tremendously. When managing funds for a company, I would have access to all the information I need at my fingertips. However, I would need to pay careful attention to how e-commerce affects the company’s and the competition’s customers. Also, with all the information so accessible, people are finding ways to manage their money without the help of professionals. This could lead to a drop in demand for financial planners and managers. I, personally, don’t feel like this will be a huge issue since people will always need advice on saving for retirement or allocating their wealth. However, it is something to be aware of and might affect my career decision later on down the road. On the other end of the
