9th grade, the most important year of High school. This is about High school and about what grade is most important. I think the most important year of High school is 9th grade. The reason i chose 9th grade is because, 9th grade determines if your going to be a successful student or a failing student. Students who have bad grades are most likely to fail and that can be helped by getting missing assignments done and turning in make up work. While students who have good grades are going to pass and be successful in school and after school. Students who fail repeat a grade and end up being overwhelmed and depressed. I can support this because in the article on paragraph 3 it states, “They are experiencing the unusual adolescent angst and depending
High school is where I had gained an awareness about how what I 'm learning in school is going to benefit me in the real world. I learned an retain a variety of information because the things that I did learn I felt like you would need to know to survive in the real world. A perfect example of this is driver 's ed where I learned to drive something that I do everyday frequently. Another reason why I learned and retain so much I because when I got into high school is around the same time I got my first job. This definitely opened the door in showing me how what I 'm learning in school applies to everyday work activities such as knowing and counting money this is where math comes in.
Walter Kirn successfully unearths some of the worst aspects of senior year. However, these reasonings are not sound enough to condone the discontinuation of it. Any issues found are the fault of the student or the school administration, not the grade level itself. Senior year is worth holding on to for both the persistence of learning and for solidifying relationships. Kirn mentions with pleasure his choice to leave high school early. Nonetheless the four year high school experience should not be demoralized by those who wish to value it for the irreplaceable opportunity it is.
People say high school is supposed to be the golden years of your life. I don’t know what else in life is to come; however, my philosophy is to live in the moment and make the life you’re living in the present worthwhile into the future, not only for you but for those who surround you. I live my life participating in our community and getting involved in our school. The activities, and the people I’ve formed relationships with, are what have formed me into the person I am today. The person I am today is not perfect, but I have learned from the mistakes I’ve made.
“Education is not the preparation for life; education is life itself.” - John Dewey. Every year, as we enter a new grade, new challenges approach us. Eighth grade is no exception., and will be very different from 7th grade. As I enter my eighth grade school year, I will be bombarded with a variety of new experiences and challenges such as buddies, academics, and being prepared for high school. One of the most important tasks that is thrust onto me is buddies.
Imagine if East Jordan high school offered several elective and AP classes to students. Imagine how it could benefit the students of East Jordan Public schools. It would offer much more to students. East Jordan high school use to have many elective classes like: Forensics, Environmental sciences, Creative writing, honors biology, and advance writing, but now the high school does not offer enough elective and AP classes. East Jordan high school must add more classes because they help with schedules, college, and preparedness.
6th grade, and I was saying hello, and now 8th grade has come and it’s gone from introductions to goodbyes as my last days as a middle school student wind down. 8th grade, 8th grade from the opening day to the signing of the yearbooks. This is the year of memories, goodbyes, and regrets. 8th grade and I’m still realizing that there are people in the world that would die to go to a school like this.
James Baldwin’s works were influenced by the times in which he lived, as an African American writer he strove for equality and used his pen to work for civil rights through elements of his childhood among other aspects.
The oldest students in the whole school, the kings and queens, the leaders, the students with the well developed, massive houses. This day will be in our minds until we take our last breaths, so let us make the best of it. It’s crazy, you know? That during this exact moment last year, I could have been delivering my sixth grade promotion speech. All of my fellow seventh graders would have been. Younger versions of ourselves doing almost the exact same action. It is insane that the exact same thoughts will be swimming throughout our eighth-grade heads. Same thoughts for years to come. This is why this day is important. All of these thoughts, feelings, and moods that come to mind when the eighth grade is mentioned might be a tad bit frightening, but it only means we are a stride or two closer to becoming
6th grade, 6th grade was a very insisting year mainly because I was new to this whole middle school thing. In 6th grade I met a really good friend of mine that I would continue to be friends with though middle school, his name was jj. Me and jj meet in 6th grade, we had the same homeroom. JJ and I would continue to carry each other to the end of 6th grade. Also in 6th I had the best homeroom teacher, Let's just call her Mrs.steelers. Mrs.steelers and I had a great bond, we both loved the steelers. Mrs.steelers would continue to guide me to victory in the 6th grade.

In middle school I have participated in as many school activities as I possibly could. First of all, in 6th and 7th grade I was part of Student Council. In Student Council we worked on projects to improve the school, participated in community service, and fundraised to help others. One project I took a big role in was the Olympia recycles project. Secondly, I have been part of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) for 2 years now. Members of the National Junior Honor Society were chosen based on their outstanding performance in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. In NJHS we organize a lot of fun events that will interest others and we do
I remember when I was in 2nd grade I got to see a rocket go off on my birthday. You see my grandpa used to work for BALL Aerospace. He help on lots of rockets and space stations. Well it just happened that their was a rocket that was going to go off near my birthday. We had to go to California to see the rocket go off. It just so happened that the weather kept pushing it back until my birthday. The weather was so bad there and there was so much to do before it went off. We had to make sure the weather was right and that all the mechanics in the rocket were right and we also had to go to all of these meetings and lectures about the rocket. Well when my birthday came around the weather was just right that the rocket could go off. I had to get
In eighth grade, the amazing experiences are far more numerous than the regretful moments. First in eighth grade I believe the best part was the teachers. They have all taught me so much, and I will certainly use what they have equipped me with in high school. They all deserve so much for teaching the "future of the world." I am sur...
Sometimes in life you go through obstacles and conflicts that you wish will never happen to you. But it’s life, you can’t change how it will be no matter how much you want it to. My life changed when I was in the seventh grade. I will never forget what happened to me then. It changed my life for both good and bad. To this day, I remember like it was yesterday. The day I tried to commit suicide was the day that changed my life forever. If it wasn’t for dance, my life would probably be a disaster.
My Sophomore year in Trinity Catholic was full of fun, stress, yet very enjoyable. This year was filled with great memories with friends, fun adventures with friends, and a great learning experience. This year marked a great leap for my education. This year I took classes that I liked and also had teachers that I liked. This year, I made great memories in and out of school, with friends of old and new (Matt Garrido, Adrian, Liam, Kevin, Daniel, Alejandro, Chris Bode, Bilal, Tyler, Twisted, Andres, Zalio, Syerra, Alexandra, Alexandra, Charlene, Julian, Ian, and many many more). I would describe my sophomore year almost like a movie. Old classics like Fasts Time at Richmond High and Dazed and Confused. My Sophomore year wasn't exactly
