911's Texting Features

396 Words1 Page

I believe that 911 should have a texting feature. I strongly believe in this because one, if you are deaf, have a speech disability, or have a hard time hearing. Also because in a case of a lockdown a teacher could hide in a closet and text the police. Another reason, wireless phone companies must send information about your telephone number and location to a PSAP when you make a 911 call so you can get help more easily. Having a texting application would make 911 experiences a whole lot safer, easier, and more lives would be saved. People who suffer with speech disability, a hard time hearing, or they are deaf may be left alone for a slight second. Anything can happen. In a case of emergency just a little thing can go wrong.
