I woke up with a sharp pain in my chest and head. Around me was the car, it was wrecked and little to no cars nearby. I racked my brain to remember what happened. I was at home and I needed to go somewhere, I got in the car and started driving. The last thing i remember, was the truck coming towards me. then it all went white. I gasped. "the truck, it hit me and I must of passed out." I checked myself. nothing broken, that's good. My phone was smashed so I couldn't call anyone to tell them that I crashed. My brother, Williams house wasn't far so I would walk there. I grabbed what ever I could salvage my wallet, my coat, and keys to my house. I walked to my brothers house and knocked on the door, no reply. His car was there so he wasn't at work. I opened the door and saw him sitting on the couch on the phone. He looked devastated. I could only hear bits of what he said "Alright...yes....okay...no...thank you..bye" he clicked off the phone and put his head in his hands. "God dammit Nicky..." I heard him say. oh no I thought, someone must have told him that I crashed the car. I looked over at William which was sobbing repeating my name. "William! i'm so sorry I didn't mean to crash the car! please don't cry!" he didn't respond neither look up at me. …show more content…
"Tristian" I said " I just told William I crashed the car, please don't be mad." she looked up at me and stood. she walked over to me, with a curious look on her face. "I'm so sorry" I said while she walked closer to me. She started sprinting out the door downstairs. I followed her as she ran down to William. "whats wrong are you okay!?" she asked panicked. "its Nicky, she got in a car crash and passed away." William said sobbing between words. "Guys its okay! I'm right here!" I said getting frustrated. They didn't even respond to
This can’t be happening thought Bill. Man I’m in so much trouble, there’s no way I can get out of it. I’m stuck. Bill had just wrecked his parent’s BMW in an accident, and they had no idea that the expensive car was even missing from the garage. And a terrible thing had happened as a result of the crash. A young woman lay dead in the passenger side of the vehicle, swarmed by medics. Bill had escaped injury, but as his body was still at the crash site, his mind wasn’t. He was in total shock at what had happened. If I only left the car in the garage and didn’t try to “borrow” it, Lisa might still be alive….Bill tried to imagine that it wasn’t real, that he was in his bed dreaming, but no, he was responsible for the destruction of his parents’ car and his the death of his girlfriend. It was as if his mind wasn’t registering, as if it was in some far away place. He just couldn’t come to grips with what had happened. This is a classic example of severe shock. The event that took place was so strong that the mind has trouble working. While in Bill’s case where he had indeed had an accident, the realism of the situation dwarfs the mind as if a small comet hurtled towards a blazing sun. But this is just one aspect of realism. The whole of realism is made up of the fact that our lives, the world, the universe, it’s all real. And as much as our minds would want to deny it, everything will stay real, and for most people they just make the best of it. But for the rest of the people, they invent new ways to get around the feeling that a wall has been placed in their path. All this goes to say that people must be original and “keep it real” to survive the physical and mental fatigue life throws at them and also that everything will always be real and we must be in touch with our minds to harvest the realness.
We had never been to a party, besides a few nights were we split a case of beer, upon arrival to the party, it was clear, we were in over our heads. There was an open bar, twenty-two kegs, and a table with an array of different types of drugs. Much like the town members in “The Lottery”, mob mentality took over myself and my group of friends as we were convinced to partake in the different libations of the night. As the night progressed so did the items that we were consuming. We started with beer and didn’t think to much of it, but when a group of seniors came and challenged us to do Jager bombs the night took off. We were all concerned, at first, but as the alcohol soaked into our brains we were just looking for the next thing to take our mind off how sore our bodies were from the earlier practice. Until finally it was time to leave, and piss drunk we all climbed into vehicles to drive home. I was in a lifted Jeep Cherokee with six of my teammates when the driver lost control and went off the road. As we were barreling toward a tree line the car seemed to increase in speed, and when the vehicle hit two large elm trees the car stopped instantly. Myself and the driver were thrown through the windshield, and everyone else in the backseat collided with the foot and a half diameter limb that went through the center of the windshield. The limb broke my best friends arm, broke another friends nose, and it had stopped on our starting point guards chest. What we didn’t realize was that the limb had crushed his ribcage and fluid was pouring into his lungs. Luckily, none of us were knocked out except for him, and we were able to call 911, the paramedics got their quickly, and he was airlifted to a hospital about twenty minutes away. Waiting for the ambulance was terrible, my friend was laying helpless on the ground, coughing up blood and struggling
I gaze out the window endeavoring to forget the whole night, perhaps all of this was a mistake? I shake my head dismissively. This had to happened, I needed to witness this to understand Christian. I just wish he would of have given me a warning of what was inside. I remain quiet and close my eyes for a minute, my sanity is holding on by a string. I wish I could remember everything that my life was before the accident.
One punch on the side lead him to have his head go father down than it was already, reveling a slit all around his neck and a pale chin. His head moved back and then forward again slowly falling down allowing his neck to become ten more inches and as his head fell down to the floor of the gas station his spine fell with it. There was blood on the spine dripping down that soaked his head with red, clarifying the whiteness of it. It thumped on the floor splashing the pool of blood that echoed off the walls, hitting me with his blood on my forehead. his head and body laid there separate. I remember my internal being wanting me to scream so, so hard. I couldn't. Also I remembered feeling speechlessness that was indescribable.. An emotion hitting me too hard to even let a word
I got into a terrific car accident when I was in seventh grade. I remember everything that happened that day like if if was yesterday. I was with my family coming back from south beach. As we were in the highway I turned around because I see bright lights coming in my direction and BOOM, It all happened too fast. All I remember is waking up in a hospital not knowing what year it was, doctors asking me questions, not being able to move or anything. I was very scared because I had no idea what was happening. The doctors told me I hit my head in the window during the car accident which made me loose my memory, they also told me I fractured my neck and I was lucky to be
It was a Saturday afternoon in the late spring, it was probably about 85 degrees outside. Me and my friend, R.J. decided to go riding 4-wheelers. I took his Suzuki 450 for a spin. We were riding next to a road, when I noticed this guy in his tan convertible foxbody Mustang. He started racing his engine and we both took off, I was in front of him and I had already burned through all 5 gears and I realized I had to turn. I let off the gas and downshifted to 4th gear and hit the brakes to turn. I was going too fast for the turn so I had to go a little bit wider through the turn and I made it a quarter of the way through the turn . That is when it went bad, the right front tire fell into a groundhog hole. This hole stopped the 4-wheeler dead in its tracks and threw me over the handlebars. I landed on my head and got ran over by the quad. I remember seeing nothing but black and when I stood up and looked around I saw the quad about 300 feet away in the ditch. I walked up to it, got on it, and started it when I realized the front brake lever was gone so I had to buy my friend a new brake
With music blasting, voices singing and talking, it was another typical ride to school with my sister. Because of our belated departure, I went fast, too fast. We started down the first road to our destination. This road is about three miles long and filled with little hills. As we broke the top of one of the small, blind hills in the middle of the right lane was a dead deer. Without any thought, purely by instinct I pulled the wheel of the car to the left and back over to the right. No big deal but I was going fast. The car swerved back to the left, to the right, to the left. Each time I could feel the car scratching the earth with its side. My body jolted with the sporadic movements of the car. The car swerved to the right for the last time. With my eyes sealed tight, I could feel my body float off the seat of the car.
You could tell just by the atmosphere in the hallways that there had been a tragedy. There was silence as we took the elevator up as if the elevator even knew that something tragic had happened. As we walked out of the elevator, though things suddenly became even harder. There were murmurs and tears. Tissues and empty food boxes littered the floor as if the janitors had not cleaned in days when in reality it had only been since the time of the accident yesterday. There was family everywhere, but they all looked lost. Like when you see a duckling looking for its mother and it just can’t seem to operate unless it has its siblings and mom. That’s what my family looked like. We were lost. My uncle met us as soon as we walked off the elevator and sadly enough the first thing he did was hug my mother and through tears apologized for the death of Varity, “I’m so sorry, I never even saw the car. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. Please forgive me”. He then continued to apologize and told her that he tried to save my middle cousin. He said that he did CPR until the ambulance got there and to please forgive him. My uncle blamed himself since he was the one driving when the accident occurred. There was no possible way that my uncle could have prevented the accident. He looked left and right, but the road was hilly and the sun was setting just right that he never saw the truck coming. Their car was
I woke up in the back of an ambulance with all of my clothing shredded by the paramedics scissors. They didn’t know what was happening, I didn’t know what was happening, and I ended up at the hospital. They ran all sorts of tests. My parents told me that while I was unconscious, I had fallen out of my chair and began convulsing. They were very concerned and thought maybe this was a fluke that would just blow over, and it wouldn’t happen again.
I woke up and saw Jack lying on the ground and woke him from his unconsciousness. We were in a cage, our bodies beat. Two men walked in with some food and water, we tried asking questions, but they stayed silent. About ten minutes later, we heard screaming and cries for help, four men walked in along with Matthew and Meghety. We discussed our situation along with how to escape and then realized the men were from the movie theater. Later on, everyone fell asleep, I tried to stay awake, but I couldn’t anymore, I was tired and weak, my eyes slowly
Death is just around the corner. We come screeching to a halt. Before the vehicle stops my door is open and I am running towards the back doors. A woman sobs hysterically and comes rushing over. Panic. Panic. ‘Help him’ she screams. We ignore her as my partner and I grab our medical kits, a defribulator and the stretcher. The woman still sobbing ushers us inside. I can feel death its cold hands reaching out to me. Screaming in my head. Laughing at me. I shiver.
The nightmare would continue with my multiple attempts to put an end to the fast moving car. The more effort I put into stopping the car, the more it felt as if it was unstoppable. Finally, the horrendous drive came to a stop, BOOM! The car crashed. Next thing I knew I woke up in the hospital covered in blood and shattered glass, with no ability to move.
I instantly collided with the car. The sick rush of nervousness flowed through my body. I immediately thought to myself, “Oh no, my parents are going to kill me. Why did this have to happen to me?”. I then started shuffling through my purse looking for my cell phone and found it and instantly call my Mother. “Hello” my mom said, trying to get the words out through all my tears. I said “Mom, I was just in an accident,”. She tried to calm me down with the words of “are you okay? I respond by saying, “I never want to drive again.” That’s when all the dreadful thoughts started to kick in. At this point, I am shaking uncontrollably as I manage to try and get out of my car. The man from the other vehicle runs over to me, and as his voice stutters, as he manages to ask, “are you hurt?”. In fear, I respond by saying, “I’m alright, just a little scared.” As am I trying to get out of the car, the door won’t budge. At this point, I climb over and go through my back-passenger door only to see the whole front side of my car smashed in and glass shattered everywhere from the impact and liquids starting to flow from underneath my car. In a short distance, I began to notice the red and blue lights coming, as I waited for the police officers to walk over and approach me, as everything was about to unfold from what just
It was just like any other morning, I woke up, ate breakfast, got dressed, did my hair and makeup and then hopped in my pickup to drive the 45-minute road from Adel to Lakeview to get school. I was on time and not in any rush, it was cold but the roads were clear so I was driving around 55 MPH. I came around a corner where there was a straight away right on the other side and in the blink of an eye everything changed. I hit black ice, all remember is my pickup started fish tailing and before I knew I had completely lost control. The pickup began to roll and due to me being careless and not putting my seat belt on I was ejected from my driver window. I remember waking up on the ground, looking up at my pickup and just thinking to myself “What just happened?” I stood up thinking nothing was wrong and immediately began searching for my cell phone which had been thrown out as well. Before I could find it a lady in a red car pulled up and she immediately called 911 which upset
Oh my God! TJ!“ It was just my mom.She was crying and calling my name again and again.I was so embarrassed and disappointed of my self.I had let her down. After, two of the EMT guys put us on an ambulance. Finally,we made our way to the hospital. My friend john and me were sent in palo alto medical center. It took us about fifteen minute to get there. My friend john was alright. He had a couple of stitches in his head and his arm. He got relieved after a couple of tests but, I was severely injured. I was lying on a hospital bed and thinking what I would have done in the past. Cause this terrible accident happened to me. I was sent to el camino hospital, where I went to the operation theater for my hipbones surgery. The doctor told me after surgery that my hipbones was fractured the reason they had to put a plate in hipbones to stay together.Although, my left arm was also fractured the reason I could not feel my arm. After surgery, they took me to the other room and gave me a couple of injections. Momentarily, I went to sleep. I woke up in the next day and thinking hopefully it was just a dream, but it’s not. I opened my eyes and saw a couple of relative looking me like a stranger. My dad came over my bed and gave me a hug and I literally started crying after thinking about the accident. I could not believe after a massive car accident I was still alive. Doctors kept in hospital couple of
