Government Cover Up: A Blanket Over the Truth On the date of September 11, 2001 many stocks were sold and a large number of people took off just prior to the devastating attacks on the World Trade Center perpetrated by terrorists. This is just one large moment in history that it seems that a few inside people knew of an oncoming attack, or hid inside information for a cause. Many people will disagree with this, saying that the United States would not lie to their citizens or put them directly into harm’s way. Yet there is an abundance of evidence to prove that the U.S. lies to their citizens to brainwash them. For instance after the Pearl Harbor attack, the government deemed that day very sad and depressing, but then proceeded straight into the war. The 9/11 attack was very much like the Pearl Harbor incident. The assassination of JFK found Lee Harvey Oswald guilty after tracking him to the sixth floor where the shots were fired from. The moon landing was said to be performed because of advancements in American technology. At the time, these were good excuses and proved to be worthy by persuading mass amounts of citizens. One of the most famous modern day conspiracies was the 9/11 attack. The 9/11 attack has numerous indications that it was planned. A large amount of shares were sold before the attacks happened suggesting inside traders knew of the attacks ("The 11 Most Compelling”). Also air defense was told to ‘stand down’ and we needed to start a “War on Terror” (THE TOP 40). There is another conspiracy that suggests that the JFK assassination was not fully solved. More than three shots were fired from what seemed like different locations (Bojczuk, Jeremy). Also, Oswald was a bad marksmen in the marines and had a low marine score (Bojczuk, Jeremy). The crime also was not fully investigated (Bojczuk, Jeremy). This evidence adds to the conspiracy and even makes people question why Jack Ruby assassinating Lee Harvey Oswald was not heavily

She told me she was helping a friend with her new business in Aiken, SC. She first heard on the radio, breaking news, that a plane had flown into one of the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center. Her first thought was that a plane had crashed accidentally. As the day went on, she learned of even more horrible acts against our country, and then realized our Nation was under attack from terrorist.
