Kane Brown has had a very rough life. From going to 12 different schools, to getting bullied, to being abused by his own stepfather. (Wikipedia) What would you do if any of these happened to you? Instead of sitting the rest of his life and being depressed about all of the negative things in his life, Kane Brown took all of those negative things and wrote songs about them. For example in his song “Learning” Brown talks about how even though he was abused, and he watched most of his friends become terrible people, or die, he was “learning how to let it go” as he stated in the song. If you’ve had a rough time in life, you will definitely be inspired by Kane Brown and his story.
Tupac Shakur is one of the most influential artists of all time, regardless of genre. Tupac only lived for 25 years, as he was killed in a drive by shooting outside of a Las Vegas casino, which was allegedly the result of a feud between two rap groups. Tupac’s music has always cast a long shadow across the hip hop music industry, because his lyrics discussed deep and meaningful issues that his community was dealing with during his life time. The songs that I have selected to break down, in the ways they relate to and portray women during this time, are “Brenda’s got a baby,” “Dear Mama,” and “keep ya head up.” The lyrics, and stories that are discussed in these songs are extremely relatable and are example of why Tupac was able to rise to prominence,

The Autobiography of Malcolm X as told to Alex Haley is about the hard life of an African American man who was very powerful. This book helps people to see the things that Malcolm X contributed to the black community, the Civil Rights Movement, and to the United States. The history of the United States has in it much separation or segregation due to race. For a long time our country has seen racism as a large problem and this has caused ethnic groups to be looked down upon and forced into a lifestyle of difficulties and suppression. Due to this, races, particularly African-Americans, have been forced to deal with unequal opportunity and poverty, leading to less honorable ways of getting by and also organizations that support change. Malcolm X is one strong example of an African American man who became apart of a group acted against it, uniting people to promote the advancement of colored people and change. Malcolm's thoughts towards race and civil right in the previous years were displayed in a less way to the people and "by any means necessary" perspective. After his pilgrimage in 1964 his view of civil rights had quickly changed into a more complete view of civil rights, and the peoples views towards him. No one really knows what kind of impact Malcolm X would have had on history if he had not been assassinated. His beliefs and philosophy did gain him a place in history as one of the best-known Black Nationalist Leaders. Everyone seems to have known who Malcolm X was, and he ranks high with all other Black leaders. His ideas were radical and he was very out spoken. He was a major force in the development of black history. He fought not only for his people but also for all oppressed people everywhere. He was well spoken and he laid the groundwork for the black power movement of the late l960's.
Tupac Amaru Shakur was an African-American rapper, poet, and record producer during the 1990’s. In his adolescent years, he attended the Baltimore School for the Arts where he took acting and dance classes, like ballet. He was taught radical politics by his mother, which helped him develop ideas about topics he would later use in his many works. At an early age, Tupac had seen the injustices of the real world. His mother was a former Black Panther activist who turned to substance abuse during Tupac’s childhood. Aside from that, he and his mother also moved many times while they lived together in New York City. While Tupac was in Baltimore, he discovered rap; not long after, he and his mother moved to the West Coast where he joined the rap group

Malcolm X, born Malcom Little, was a human rights activists and American Muslim minister who was greatly revered for his preaching about black rights and criticism about the civil rights movement. Malcolm had very troubled beginnings with his mother’s descent into insanity following the tragic murder of his father by racists; as a result Malcolm was separated from his siblings and orphaned at a young age. Malcolm dropped out of school and eventually plunged head first into the life of a thug, participating in, dealing drugs, pimping, and robbery. In 1946 Malcolm returned to Boston and was arrested after committing multiple burglaries and was sentenced to serve an eight to ten year sentence at Charlestown State prison and Norfolk Prison Colony.
Malcolm X throughout his whole life was one person. However, given his experiences, evolutions and phases that he went through in his 39-year life, he went by several different names. From the beginning he struggled with his racial and religious identity which led him to start going by different names. When he had a revelation he would then change his name. Malcolm X is most remembered for being a former criminal turned key figure in the civil rights movement next to the likes of Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. Unlike those two however he was most known for his advocacy for Black Nationalism and suggested that violence is the answer. His most famous phrase was how he we wanted freedom and equality “by any means necessary”, in a very

On November 17, 1780, during the Andean age, Tupac Amaru II led an infamous rebellion against the Spanish colonists that sought to correct Spanish misgovernment and the evils arising towards the indigenous peoples. Tupac Amaru II, originally named José Gabriel Condorcanqui, was a legitimate descendant of the last Inca ruler, Tupac Amaru, with whom he took advantage to construct his identity to lead the indigenous natives in the uprising against the rigorous repression and injustice that stripped them of their human rights. This was a time when the Spanish Crown decided to colonize the Andean lands in hope of bringing them to the Holy Mother Church; however, the colonists became vain and took advantage of their remoteness to abuse their powers.
Wiz Khalifa: a macaroni-colored sweatsuit. The vibrant outfit was given to Khalifa by his dad and stepmom when he was 14, and he threw it right in the trash. “It didn't even have a hood on it, so it was like a crew-neck sweatshirt with macaroni pants. Wack,” he said, adding that he still hates it and still hates thinking about it.
The article entitled “Why I am Black and Not African American” written by John H. McWhorter argues that Americans should use the term black instead of African American. The term black is perceived as a symbol of strength and hard work. While the term African American transports blacks back to a time in history filled with bondage and discrimination. Therefore, McWhorter argues that the derogatory term of African American should not be used and that the term black is more appropriate. McWhorter was able to establish a strong argument because he met several of the standard criteria for a quality argument. The established criteria explain a quality argument must include a debatable thesis, supporting evidence, ethos, pathos, and an opposition.
