How to practice the 3R’s of Environmentalism as a family

What is Environment?

Environment is something that makes up our surroundings and influences the ability to live on the earth like the air we breathe in ,the water that covers most of the earth's surface, and the plants and animals around us.

What is the need of protecting the environment?

Human interaction with the environment is changing constantly. In recent years, the environment being highly valued by most, is used and altered by diverse community of the people for different interests and values.

Environment is one of the grave concern of our time and will continue to prevail in future because only the well managed environment will be helpful in maintaining the well-being of living

So there is need of an hour to bring awareness among masses based on multidisciplinary approach of learning, better understanding of technologies, political and social options and strategies of creating better environment and its relation to our society.

Introducing 3R’s of environmentalism (Reuse reduces and recycle) to be implemented at grass root level by all communities as a family toprotect environment for the future.

Reduce/Reduction: The first objective in the 3R’s cycle is to reduce the amount of waste that are producing in order to mitigate the environmental disaster like what you can do at your own level is to make things hazardlessthat will result in a smaller amount of waste.In other way, a reduction in one thing results in conservation especially in case of Natural resources.

Reduction can be practice by selecting such products that are usually dumped to landfills or flush in to the waste stream in general and cause environmental pollution

For instance what you can do is;

Selective purchase and use

Similarly try to use durable items instead of disposable item that can be workable in a long run, instead of un-disposable items.

RECYCLING:

It enable us to use the material in a new way that are no longer in our use.You will be amazed to see that what cannot be done with a recycled product. A recycled soda bottle, can be made into T-shirts, combs, or hundreds of other plastic goods that can be used for many years. Even your brand new computer case might be made from ordinary recycled plastics. And paper products can take on different forms as well; an old phone book or coloring book might become one of your school books or a notebook

For instance you can practice recycling;

On the following items use in your office and house like Aluminum cans, cardboard, electronic equipment, glass (particularly bottles and jars), magazines, metal, newspaper, paper, plastic bags, plastic bottles, steel cans, writing, copy paper, yard waste, leaves, grass.
