3D printing refers to the new emerging technology that facilitates and encourages innovation across all aspects of society. Its implications are being introduced at a fast pace. That is to say, 3D printing is opening the door for improvement in the medical field, is changing the way e-commerce works, and will affect society at the economical and personal level.
To start off, 3D printing is form of additive manufacturing. It works by building or “printing” a model one layer at time and works from the bottom up. The process starts off by applying a layer of powder onto a platform to which, depending on the printer, sprays liquid binder and a bonding agent as a mean to solidify and strengthen the powder. This process is repeated until finished and can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Yet, in order to be able to transform a digital file into a tangible, physical object, the following are required: 1) a design using CAD software, 2) to save the file as a STL, and 3) a 3D printer of some sort.
Part of the purpose of 3D printing is to increase innovation by transforming digital files and ideas to real 3D tangible objects. Thus, through this mean, its applications can be used in medical advancement, engineering, and food industries just to name a few. In order words, 3D printings enable and facilitate the process of converting an idea or concept to a real object thus significantly affecting the everyday lifestyle.
For instance, 3D printing will affect the design economy as well as e-commerce. It is expected for 3D printers to become part of every household in the next 20 years. As a result of this, people are able to print their own artistic ideas (i.e. fashion clothes) right from the comfort of their homes. This in tu...

The idea behind this scene in the movie is not too far-fetched and it features some technologies that are very similar to what is being developed today. The first thing the movie gets right about bio-printing is the fact that each body system is printed using a different tool. Today there are three main techniques used in bio-printing (ink-jet printing, laser printing, and extrusive printing) and each one has different strengths and weaknesses. Ink-jet based bio-printing uses “a “bio-ink,” made of cells and bio-materials, to print living cells in the form of droplets (each contains 10,000–30,000 cells) by using a non-contact

Technological advances are growing at a rapid pace. When Christmas began, homemade treasures were an ideal gift option. Now, homemade treasures have diminished significantly. In ten years, technology will transform our gift buying experience. By then, we will be in the age of 3D printing. 3D printers will be the new normal and it will make it possible to simply give someone a code and they can print their gift in the privacy of their own homes.
Wood-type printing allowed new typefaces to be created and used for printing cheaper than ever before. Technological advances permitted machine-set typography to be printed on machine-manufactured paper with high-speed steam-powered printing presses. The use of color lithography passed the aesthetic experience of colorful images from the privileged few to the whole of society.
The printing press is a moveable type machine that is used by transferring text and images to paper using ink. The machine helped change society from making hand written books to producing books more rapidly. The printing press was more effective when it came to text and images being seen on paper. When material had to be hand written it was hard to read, but the printing press made reading a lot easier. The printing press invention became more efficient when wanting to spread work faster. The invention of the printing press was one of the most useful technology in history because it helped spread ideas, produced books, and improved the economy greatly.
Human beings are creative species. They have come up with great ideas and invented some wonderful tools since they have been on earth. From the time that someone threw a rock in the ground to make the first tool, to the introduction of the wheel, to the development of electricity and the Internet. These alterations, and many more have been made to provide us the modern life we are living today. There are many inventions that have changed the world dramatically. Historians suggest that the printing press was one of the most revolutionary inventions in the human history. The printing press was invented over five-hundred years ago and was the first step in transforming societal literacy. Around 1440, the printing press was invented by the German Johannes Gutenberg, who was the first to design a technique that has the ability to transform the ink from the movable type to paper. Basic development of the printing press was, the hand mold which is the process that enabled the production of metal movable types. Printing presses with this movable type mechanism increased the rates at which copies of books
