For my third trimester, I have three goals I want to achieve. My first goal is to reach my AR goal. My second goal is to beat my old scores on MAP testing to show growth. My third goal is to improve my grades throughout the third trimester. In order to improve my grades, show MAP testing growth, and reach my AR goal, I will work hard and effectively.
My first goal, which is reaching my AR goal, can be accomplished by reading more. By reading everyday, I can finish books faster and absorb the details more effectively which will lead to passing my tests. Not only will I read better, but also increase my understanding of higher level books drastically. If I consistently practice my reading skills, I will eventually accomplish my goal and be a better reader. In addition to meeting my goal, my other goals, such as improving my MAP

I will succeed in making this goal a reality by practicing new techniques. Additionally, I can learn new techniques by listening carefully and observing the information provided by teachers. Besides learning new information, I can also improve my health by getting more rest and eating correctly which will lead to increased perception and concentration during lessons. If I follow a plan to achieve my goal, I can improve not only my MAP scores, but also the progress of my other academic goal which is to obtain passing grades.
My third goal in the third trimester is to acquire good grades and continue to keep earning them.There will be multiple challenges that will prevent me from achieving, such as activities, procrastination, and insufficient sleep. Despite the challenges, I can accomplish getting passing grades by simply overcoming the unfavorable odds these challenges will cast at me. Also, I can use methods for completing my other goals to reach this goal as well. Getting good grades is an attainable goal that I can achieve through following along with the class and increasing study
One of my goals I want to accomplish is to get the highest degree possible in college. I want to major in nursing and the highest degree in nursing is a doctorate level degree. Even though I have to get my bachelor’s and master’s degree first, I will accomplish my goal and get my doctorates. I am currently focusing on school and getting excellent grade so I can get into a good college. I also occasionally look up medical things and, learn more things about my future career on the internet. According to dictionary.com, a goal is defined as the result or achievement toward which effort is directed. I have two main goals in life. My first goal is to complete college with a GPA above 3.0; my second goal is to utilize my degree and obtain a career that will support a family and myself. My goals are not impossible, but without certain motivation I do not believe that I could achieve my goals. In order to understand how motivation works with the two goals that I have for myself, I must first understand the different types of motives.
Growing up, goals change dramatically. A five-year olds goal is to get the coloring page done. As people go through school, goals obviously change. A freshman’s goal may be to learn the school so he or she doesn’t get lost. Senior’s goals grow to finding where they will spend the next four years or what kind of career they will grow upon. Then, of course goals continue to change as people get older and enter into different stages of life.
