These are lyrics are from the song “How Long Will They Mourn Me’ by 2Pac. He wrote the song as a tribute to a friend that had been killed in Detroit. Little did he know that he would succumb to the very same fate.
II. Today, we will be talking about how the murders of the Notorious B.I.G. also known as Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur are undeniably connected to each other. From the results of the audience analysis survey, 62.5% of you that responded to the survey have listened to their music, but none of you have any background information into their murders.
III. I’ve been listening to Biggie and 2Pac since I was a teenager. Just as of recently, I became fascinated about researching the connection between their murders because of the USA Network show Unsolved. In preparation for this speech, I read numerous articles laying out the evidence of their murders and why

they are connected. IV. To discuss connection between Biggie and 2Pac we need to first look at background information into Biggie and 2Pac’s relationship, then we need to examine the details surrounding the night of their murders, and finally we need to study why their murders are in fact connected to each other. Body I. First, let’s discuss the background information that surrounded Biggie and 2Pac’s relationship and ultimately their killings. A. The two meet on the set of the movie Poetic Justice in which 2Pac was starring. The two quickly became fast friends because 2Pac had been playing Biggie’s first single “Party and Bullshit” on set all the time. 1. Many described the relationship as a teacher-student that anything because at the time 2Pac was already an established rapper and Biggie was just starting out. B. Their relationship quickly became a rivalry as 2Pac was shot on his way attending a recording session of Biggie’s by a friend of Biggie’s. 1. 2Pac became consumed by the perception that Biggie not only knew who shot him that night, but he also played a hand in it. His suspicions seemed at the time to be confirmed as Biggie released a record entitled “Who Shot Ya”, which 2Pac took as an admission and a diss. 2. 2Pac ended up joining a rival record company of Biggie’s called Deathrow Records which had other artists like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. He took every opportunity he could to take shots at his peer saying that Biggie copied his style and even insinuating that he was having an affair with Biggie’s wife Faith Evans. 3. Biggie felt the complete opposite and downplayed the situation every chance he could. In an interview with Vibe magazine recounted in the Medium.com article called “Friendship Started & Ended By Hip-Hop: A Tupac & Biggie Story”, he told the reporter that he thought 2Pac was still “his man” and that he thought it was “all talk…and [couldn’t] believe [2Pac] would he would shit on him like that.” (Transition/Recap: Now, we know at one point Biggie and 2Pac were friends at one point, but their relationship quickly devolved after 2Pac was shot. We also know that 2Pac blamed Biggie to a certain extent.) II. Next, we are going to quickly examine the details of the night of their murders. A. 2Pac was shot on September 7th, 1996 while leaving a Mike Tyson boxing match to attend a party a nearby club in Las Vegas. 1. According to the Business Insider article entitled “The murders of Biggie and Tupac are still a mystery after 20 years — here are all the theories about them” by Carrie Wittmer, 2Pac’s car was stopped at a red-light when a white Cadillac pulled up and fired 14 shots, 6 of which hit 2Pac including one puncturing his lung. 2Pac succumbed to his wounds 6 days later and passed away. B.
The Notorious B.I.G. was shot and killed on March 7, 1997 while leaving an after party after the Soul Train awards in Los Angeles.
1. According to the same Business Insider article referenced before, Biggie was being driven in a vehicle when another car pulled up alongside and shot into the car hitting Biggie 4 times. He was pronounced later that evening. This came less than 6 months after the murder of 2Pac.
(Transition/Recap: To recap the last section, we just examined the details surrounding the night of both their murders and the proximity in time in which they were killed.)
III. Lastly, we are going to examine why their murders are in fact connected to each other.
A. It is believed that 2Pac was killed by Crips gang members by the names of Duane Keith “Keffe D” and his nephew Orlando Anderson.
1. As well, it is claimed that Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs offered “Keffe D” 1 million dollars to kill 2Pac and his manager, producer Marion Hugh “Suge Knight”. Combs was a close friend and producer of Biggie’s, and ordered the killing in order to end the feud that was happening between Biggie and
2Pac. 2. According to Greg Kading, a former LAPD detective that lead the federal taskforce that investigated 2Pac and Biggie’s murders, quoted in an article from the Washington Times entitled “Retired LAPD detective: I know who shot Tupac, Biggie Smalls”, he stated when he and the taskforce interrogated Keffe D, Keith implicated Puff Daddy. Keith also said that Combs would “give anything for Pac and Suge Knight’s heads.” 3. It was reported also Orlando Anderson, the alleged gunman, had been involved in an altercation that involved a friend of 2Pac’s, a fellow rapper from Death Row Records. This lead to Anderson being assaulted and beaten by 2Pac, Suge Knight, and some of their other friends when they spotted him in Las Vegas the night of 2Pac’s murder. Therefore, Orlando Anderson had a personal vendetta against 2Pac on top of the contract he had received from Puff Daddy. B. In retaliation, it is thought that Suge Knight, in response of 2Pac’s killing, contracted gang members to do the very same thing to the Notorious B.I.G. 1. According to an article from the Daily Beast written by Amy Zimmerman, a longtime entertainment writer, entitled “20 Years Later, Biggie Smalls’ Mom Has a ‘Very Good Idea’ Who Killed Him”, Knight was a “main suspect” in the investigation. This was because it was thought Suge Knight ordered the killing as a “direct response to [2Pac’s] murder.” C. Finally, I want to discuss some of the conspiracy theories that have implicated police somehow being involved in both murders. At time some of those theories can contradict the connection that I have established between Biggie and 2Pac’s murders. 1. According to an article from indepent.co.uk written by Ilana Kaplan entitled “Tupac murder weapon was found after his death – and then went missing”, a gun was found in Compton, California matching that used to kill 2Pac in Las Vegas. The gun was discovered at the home of girlfriend to a longtime Crip gang member named Corey Edwards, who had “fallen out” with 2Pac. This fact and the gun itself was then claimed to have been sequestered by the Las Vegas Police Department to keep from “trigger[ing] fresh gang violence if it in fact…tied back to the Crips.” 2. The more reasonable explanation is that the prosecutor recommended that the gun not be turned over to the department to avoid alerting any “potential conspirators”. (Transition/Recap: Clearly, we have seen there is a complicated, but definitive connection between Biggie and 2Pac’s murder.) Conclusion I. In conclusion, we first discussed background information of the relationship between Biggie 2Pac, next we examined the details from the nights of their murders, and finally we observed a distinct connection between their murders. II. With that being said, I would now call upon the FBI to reopen a federal taskforce to investigate their murders, but this time acting under the assumption that the cases are directly linked. Biggie and 2Pac deserve justice just as much as anyone else.
Tupac was at a Mike Tyson fight against Bruce Seldon at the MGM Grand Hotel, in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 7, 1996. After it was over, Tupac was in the car with Suge Knight when a white, four-door, Cadillac pulled up and two gunmen got out. They shot thirteen times; three of the shots hit Tupac and one hit Knight. Tupac died of internal bleeding six days later in critical care at the University Medical Centre. Six months later on March 9, 1997, Biggie was sitting in a Chevy Suburban outside after the Soul Train Music Awards when he was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, California. He died about an hour
They have a heated conversation about the women he killed and she sides with Redding. Dean says something bad about her son Christopher and he snaps, grabs Cassie of the couch, but before he could cause any harm Dean had him pinned up against the was choking him till he let go of her. A young college student Named Curt was found dead after the death of Christopher’s mother tracing Dna back to him the skin found under her fingernails. Someone didn't like how they went to visit Mrs. Simmons so after them leaving not an hour later she was found dead so she couldn't give out any information. But someone had killed Curt the same way Curt had killed Mrs. Simmons like Redding (cut them, bind them, hang them). So that meaning there must have been two accomplices is Es. One was Curt a disorganized killer. It the other was very organized left no evidence ever. But Kurt had. No communication with Mrs Simmons so why would he kill her… Unless the other accomplices wanted her dead, so they switched and killed each others victims. Curt was dead, so whoever killed Curt must have been the one who wanted Mrs Simmons dead. Who would want her dead, though the only person who ever had a problem with her was… Huh her living flesh and blood Christopher. He knew he wanted her dead, so he told Kurt but Kurt wasn't good enough and left behind evidenced so he must kill him before the FBI finds him and hurts him till he talks. So the other accomplice indubitably was Christopher. They had to stop him before it's too late and he kills
It was summer hot and humid July but all was not well for homicide was in the air. Jeremy Ringquist had, after a divorce and begin unemployed, had taken up residence with his parents once again. Thirty-eight years of age Jeremy, was charged with the death of his parents and attempting to hide the bodies in a freezer.
...ty ran so deep that he put his life on the line for his kingmany times, and eventually died for his kingdom. Similarly, gangsters are extremelyloyal to their gangs and leaders. They remain members for life and are willing tosacrifice their lives for their fellow members. An example of this bond is a recordcompany which is infamous for violence and gang-relations, "Death Row Records". Although it is a recording company and not a gang, its members including 2Pac, SnoopDoggy Dog, and its CEO, Marion "Suge" Knight, are a tight-knit group whose loyaltyruns high. Gangs and pagan warriors share many similarities. Both thrive on strength, violence, and loyalty to their groups. Today's street gangs seem to take the "OldEnglish" warriors' ideals to a farther, even more violent extent. But all the same, streetgangs exemplify the ideals of the past "Old English" times.
(Transition: Now that I have shown a few of the ways the Warren Commission deception of the the assassination I would like to conclude with these statements)
Tupac Amaru Shakur was born on June 16, 1971 in New York City to Afeni Shakur, a Black Panther member since 1968. She gave birth to him 2 months after she was released from Women’s House of Detentions in Grenwich Village. She was charged with conspiracy to bomb several New York public locations and just had her bail revoked. In court she represented herself and won against the state of New York in a surprising turn out. In Incan dialect, his name Tupac Amaru means “shining serpent” and Shakur is Arabic for “thankful to God.” For most of his childhood his crack addicted mother shuffled Tupac between the ghettos of Harlem and the Bronx. Young Tupac began his performance career with the 127th Street Ensemble and then enrolled Baltimore School for the Arts where he was educated in ballet and acting. Tupac was forced to drop out of the school because he had to move to California with his mother, where his criminal career began. He left his house at the age of 17 because of the continuous fights with his mother he then began selling/doing drugs, and was homeless for about 2 years. His life was spiraling down wards at a rapid rate. Till one day he got his big break. Tupac always dreamt about being famous someday, now his dream was becoming a reality. He struck a recording deal with Interscope records. He was on his way to super stardom, but as we all know with fame comes problems. He was involved in the shooting of two off duty police officers, although the chargers were later dropped. He was also convicted of rape, and sentenced to 5 years in Clinton Correctional Facilities.
Over the next couple of years, Evans continued her behind-the-scenes work, performing and writing for records by the likes of Color Me Badd and LSG. She and Biggie also had a son, Christopher Wallace Jr., in late 1996; however, by that point, their marriage had already become strained. Biggie had publicly taken up with rapper Lil' Kim and rumors had been spreading about an Evans liaison with Biggie's rival 2Pac (alluded to on 2Pac's venomous "Hit Me Off"). The couple had unofficially separated when Biggie was shot and killed in March 1997. A grief-stricken Evans was prominently featured on the Puff Daddy tribute single "I'll Be Missing You," which with its cribbed Police hook zoomed to the top of the charts and became one of the year's biggest hits.
Have you ever heard of Tupac, the 1990 hip-hop sensation. Have you heard how he died, or even who killed him? Well, this is what this essay is about, the murder of Tupac Shakur, also known as Makaveli. The murder of Tupac Shakur is a conspiracy topic. A conspiracy is a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful. Many humans believe that Tupac is still alive and in hiding, while the other percentage think he is dead.

Shakur’s post celebrity run-ins with the law were almost as frequents as when he was growing up. In 1992 he was arrested when a stray bullet killed a six-year old child during a scuffle between Shakur and two others. The charges were later dropped. In 1993 Tupac was arrested for allegedly shooting two off duty Butts County Atlanta police officers who were harassing a black motorist, but the charges were again dropped. Ironically one of the officers was shot in the...
Immediately after Tupac Shakur’s murder the night of September 7, 1996, possible suspects were targeted and investigated. Among the earliest accused was Suge Knight, the creator of Death Row Records (Scott 183). Shakur’s contract with Death Row was a profit vacuum for Knight because of Shakur’s immense talent and popularity. And, allegedly, a four-million dollar insurance policy was enacted on Tupac after signing with Death Row Records, giving Death Row the benefit rather than his family (Scott 183). This policy reinforced the idea that Tupac was the driving money force for Death Row; therefore, he was extremely valuable for the success of the company. As Knight once said, "Tupac IS Death Row." (Johnson and McQuillar 173). However, tension came when Tupac supposedly was ready to depart from Death Row Records once the contract expired, which would negatively affect the success of Death Row (Scott 184). The devastation of Shakur’s departure would cause a major change in Death Row's success, and potentially causing another company to be more successful than Knight’s. T...
Tupac Amaru Shakur was an African-American rapper, poet, and record producer during the 1990’s. In his adolescent years, he attended the Baltimore School for the Arts where he took acting and dance classes, like ballet. He was taught radical politics by his mother, which helped him develop ideas about topics he would later use in his many works. At an early age, Tupac had seen the injustices of the real world. His mother was a former Black Panther activist who turned to substance abuse during Tupac’s childhood. Aside from that, he and his mother also moved many times while they lived together in New York City. While Tupac was in Baltimore, he discovered rap; not long after, he and his mother moved to the West Coast where he joined the rap group
"After some time Tupac released his own album "2Pacalypse Now", which was a success. His career skyrocketed; he became tight with main pawns in the rapping industry. Tupac signed to Deathrow Labels and released songs and albums with them."
There are two witnesses of the crime. At the junction of the robbery Mavis came to the post office to send a parcel, once she has seen the crime she fainted and collapsed in the doorway. Charlie after seen Mavis made the second shoot in the crime scene to the window. When Bert was trying to drag Mavis aside he cuts his hand on some of the glass on the floor. Johne saw the incident and tried to stop them and Ali hit John on the head with the butt of the gun and fired in his leg.
“Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?” Recognized all around the hip-hop community, this popular phrase references the infamous rapper Marshal Bruce Mathers III. Alias Eminem, Marshal Mathers is special because he is arguably the most successful white artist in the hip-hop world. As an a-list celebrity, Eminem is highly admired and considered to be a big time star in Hollywood. His music involves a style of rap that many people relate to and love. However, there are also critics ready to analyze the message that Eminem is offering within his rap lyrics and crude tone. Examining his true accomplishments, some people wonder why Eminem has received so much praise and recognition. Are these people being fair with their assessments and accusations? How has Marshal Bruce Mathers III, alias Eminem, alter ego Slim Shady, affected the hip-hop culture as well as this generation in the 21st century?
