Law enforcement has changed tremendously since the twentieth century due to advanced technology to assist officers with data and information, officers have degrees, better patrol cars, motorcycles, and bikes, and a variety of different cultures on the police force. “The change of police organizations amid the initial segment of the twentieth century was ease back to create, and in a few urban communities the effect of early change endeavors was nonexistent.” (J Rank, 2017). Furthermore, the world has changed drastically from centuries ago, but there is still crime. The reason is because at some point that individual has been let down by the law enforcement, and feels that the police can not be trusted. Therefore, one bad police makes all good police officers seem bad. However, not all officers are terrible, there are some who follow the rules and regulations of the law. The news and social media is very nerve wracking due to the fact of all the crime that is done by citizens and also the police. Recently on the news there were two police officers in custody for sexually assault of a young lady that was in handcuffs. This issue is traumatizing, because who expects to be in danger with a police officer. Meanwhile, an individual has the right not to trust law enforcement fully. Even though police officers has authority, but it should not be abused by harming citizens and not protecting citizens rights. Everyone should have respect for one another rather than harming.
