already have suitable accommodations and rail services. If the FIFA were to change venues, and the United States be chosen, this country would be able to adapt quickly and, most likely, would not have to spend the billions of dollars Brazil and Qatar have had to budget into hosting a World Cup.
While there are various arguments in favor of selecting the USA to host the 2022 World Cup, there are also several against having the games in the States. One of the reasons against, argued when the United States hosted the 1994 World Cup, is that the this country is not regarded in international football circles as a football power, like numerous countries are in Europe and South America. The United States is one of the few countries in the world in which football is not a top sport. American football runs king in the United States and football (more commonly known as “soccer” in the United States) is the "low man on the totem pole," as the United States Major League Soccer (MLS) is still looking to gain respect in the international football world. Regardless of what Americans think of football, if the FIFA were to set the 2022 World Cup in the United States, it would be a great success for both the FIFA and the growth of football in the USA.
Another country that lost the 2022 World Cup to Qatar that would be a suitable host is Australia. The “Land down under” has never hosted a World Cup; however, they did host the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney which received near universal critical acclaim. Australia has several positive arguments which suggest they would be a perfect host for the World Cup, one day soon. Australia has a mild winter, and suitable stadiums which are ready to be used; plenty of tropical places for fans and teams to...
