Having already read several of George Orwell's works such as 1984, Animal Farm, "Shooting an Elephant", and "Politics and the English Language", I wish Orwell to be the other student in the room as I am interested to know what he would think of the modern world that I live in. After reading Orwell's famous work, 1984, I came to conclude that in life individuals have choices to make, and those choices define who they are. Winston's bravery and open-mindedness became evident after he chose to defy a government that censors information and bans critical thinking. Coming from a country that is often mentioned in the news, I have also made a similar choice as Orwell's character to be open-minded and think critically before accepting the "facts",
