Technology derived somewhere around the 1860’s. Christopher Latham Sholes invented the modern typewriter and QWERTY keyboard in 1868. Since the 1860’s technology has become very advanced because we went from having type writers, to having the ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer), to the boxed shape desk top computers, projectors, laptops, and now tablets. One specific tablet we now have is called an Apple iPad. In the late 1970’s Apple came up with the idea of a graphic apple tablet. The graphic apple tablet was meant to be used for artist to create graphics and draw on a canvas. After, the invention of the applet tablet, then came the invention of the message pad, the iPod, and then the iPhone. The invention of the apple iPad was in the year 2010. The apple iPad is a mobile computing device that allows one to take photos and record videos. Also, it allows one to download music, books, and periodicals. Another thing the apple iPad does is allow one to brows the web, send/ receive emails, and send messages. Many existing technologies have failed over the years. Things such as laptops, and desktops have had different malfunctions that cause corruption in the files. Another issue with these kind of technologies is that they easily catch viruses which cause them to shut down, but an iPad …show more content…
is made so that it cannot catch a virus. Ultimately, existing technologies are made of material that is not very strong, so they break easily. Business owners, employees, and students can benefit from having an iPad.
First and fore-most, they are made small enough to carry around in a purse, bookbag, briefcase, and much more. They are wireless and portable, so they do not have to be plugged in to be used. Also, they have different cases that are made to protect them from being damaged. Currently, people seem to use technology in their ever day lives and an iPad is almost equivalent to a phone and computer combined. Technology advances every year, so there might even come a time when people will not even have to put any effort into completing certain task because different technologies will do it for
them. Many people will enjoy having a device on which they could do work, browse the web, text, listen to music, watch movies, play games, and transfer information while on the go. I personally enjoy the many different uses of my iPad because it allows me to get a lot of things done while I am moving around. It has yet to be a passing fad and I do not think it ever will be.
During the late 1800’s, there was a time of great change. This was near the end of the industrial revolution in America. Some of the greatest inventions were invented during this time. We still use most of the inventions today, they are just modified to fit the needs of America today. 3 of the major inventions and innovations that came out of this time were the telephone, typewriter, and the incandescent light bulb.

An anonymous island becomes the subject of the systematic erasure of memories, identities, and objects, which leaves the citizens powerless to resist forces that erase their own reality. In “The Memory Police” by Yoko Ogawa, this dystopian novel takes place on an unnamed island, where society must face the erasure of memories as well as the gradual loss of objects throughout their lives. In “The Memory Police," the various methods of disappearance, such as people, objects, and memory, throughout the book imply that the methods are intended to weaken the minds of the population to make them more willing to accept the manipulation they face. The significance of the multiple forces behind disappearances is that the victims stay vulnerable and weakened as they don't resist the forces and instead willingly give up their own selves. In almost every part of the world Apple and at least one of their products is known. The Apple brand started in the 1970s. Three men founded the organization in 1976, to produce a computer that every citizen could use personally (Sohail, 2010). The first item released was the Apple 1 personal computer kit made by Steve Wozniak (Sohail, 2010). Through the 70s, Apple concentrated on developing storing technologies such as the floppy disk and the use of color, graphics, and spreadsheets used for business (Sohail, 2010). Apple was about to have their first major product release with a million dollar ad campaign. This was the release of the Macintosh personal computer, which also led to Apple’s great reputation (Sohail, 2010).
Tablets have been around for decades. In 1972, Alan Kay, a researcher at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center came up with a design for a tablet called the Dynabook. He published a paper describing its specifications: 12 inches by 9 inches, with a keyboard, a stylus, and a graphics user interface (GUI). His vision was to develop a "personal computer for children of all ages." Children around the world would be able to use this dynamic book (Dynabook) to further their education. The Dynabook was never made because technology in the 1970s was not advanced enough. (Steele,
Then there's work. You have to help your boss out by typing, printing, and copying over 6,000 crucial documents. Good luck typing, let alone printing, from your little iPhone or Android phone! As far as tablets go, it's a hassle to find printers compatible with them. Honestly, who can say, "The PC industry is over. It's all mobile from here on," when you can barely find compatible printers for iPads? When it comes to work, smartphones and tablets just don't have the features, or power, to handle tasks like these. Desktop and laptop computers do, and that's why they aren't fizzling away anytime soon.

To begin with, not only do tablets serve as an alternative for textbooks, it also serves a replacement for most of the school supplies and material needed in school. Imagine not rushing every morning to find your textbooks anymore as you know that all your textbooks are safely kept on your portable device. Going to school and class would be a breeze as there would be no hassle or bundle of books to carry. In addition, it also serves as resources for students to use. Most tablets hold apps that allow students to access the dictionary, thesaurus, research information, and etc. These functions will aid students and hopefully speed up the process classroom activities, since the teacher now won’t be bombarded with students who need help on the definition of a word, or where to find more information about a certain subject they are

With a foray into computer animations with Pixar, he developed Toy Story, such a high quality movie that industry-leader Disney snapped up the company. Jobs’ final innovation was the iPad, tablet computer to displace the PC. Jobs wanted a tool to expand the brain’s processing power with all the world’s information available on a small screen. He wasn’t afraid to cannibalize his own products.
The use of iPads in the school setting is new and a novelty. The approach employed was based on the idea that many students see using iPads as enjoyable and a privilege and enjoy the change that this may offer aside from the normal environment for the subject.
