1. Why do you want to be an officer?
I want to be an officer because I think that ASB will give me an opportunity for a new experience during my time at Chaparral Middle School. I would like to get involved in our school student body. I really enjoy planning and doing things for my school. I would like to be chosen for this position because I would like to make our school a better place. I think that having fun is great but planning activities for our school such as the dances, helping advocacies, and also helping the new sixth graders welcome to Chaparral is going to be really fun but educating. I think that ASB is a great opportunity for me because I like leading people in almost any circumstance. I think that it would be a great experience
FBLA has been such a defining point in my high school career and vital part in who I am today and even who I will be in the future. Becoming an officer would allow me to see to that other students that are new to FBLA also experience the same things as I have so that they could not only grow within FBLA but also in life. I hope to, as part of becoming a potential officer, that I can encourage others in FBLA as was done to me by older peers. Hopefully with this, we can have a large increase in membership and activity to improve our chapter.
I’m interested in the teacher cadet program because I feel as if this is one way that I can get some experience in the field of work that I would hope to someday work in and that it will help me know for sure that this is what I want to do. I made up my mind at the age of five that I wanted to be a teacher and for as long as I can remember,that’s what I’ve wanted to do. I love helping people, whether it’s showing them how to do a math problem, or teaching them to tie their shoes. Whenever I was a younger, my favorite thing to do was to line up all of my babydolls and stuffed animals, I even had a whiteboard hanging in my room so that I could write on it and “teach” them things from the old textbooks my 1st grade teacher gave me. I loved being able to “teach” my bear and show him how to do math problems.
For years I have aspired to become a part of an elite organization such as the military, and more importantly, the United States Navy. Its reputation for instilling high moral character was encouragement for me to develop into a more mature, responsible, and independent young citizen. There are certain qualities that an officer must possess such as: honor, courage, commitment, and attention to duty, responsiveness to orders, cooperation, loyalty, leadership, integrity, and discipline. Throughout my high school career, I showcased these qualities while an active member of The American Legion of Ohio Buckeye Boy’s State, The National Honor Society, as a leader in the Ohio State Highway Patrol Junior Cadets, Clay and Waite High School Marching Band Alumni, Quiz Bowl, and Top Ten Scholars. I was actively involved in charitable activities such as Math and SOS tutoring, community volunteering, and the Indian 100 Leadership Team, (a volunteer organization on my high school campus). My initial reason to enter the Air Force was a great way to pay for college which turned into a call of duty and a service commitment which has actively allowed me to contribute to the Air Force mission. Thus far I have led a joint force search and rescue effort and a multinational exercise to preserve freedom. As an F-15E instructor WSO and combat mission ready WSO I actively contribute to ensure our freedoms are preserved and the attacks of September 11, 2001 will never happen again.
If I was to become a probation officer, one thing I would want to be is efficient, and successful. There would be several things I would try to focalize my attention on; supervision in communities, and its importance. Probation officers have very complex, and hard job; but if done with the right intentions, and the will to help people you can help change people’s lives.
I want to be in ASB because I think that this is a great opportunity for me to practice my leadership skills to help all students at Medea Creek. I enjoy helping people and working with others and I know that ASB is a wonderful chance for me to do so. I know that our school should have voices that help others who cannot speak up for themselves and I will help them raise their voices in school. I want to be part of ASB because I think that this can help me mature, and also help achieve my goal for life, which is becoming the president of the U.S. I believe that ASB is a unique opportunity to help me become a game-changer in our school and community. ASB students make changes in their community every day. I think that that is an amazing thing, getting to impact your community every single day.
I have always taken an interest in Criminal Justice and crime prevention ever since middle school and I set out to make my career goal to become a Criminal Justice professional. Thus, pursuing a Criminal Justice master’s degree has been a part of my plans for the future and will become one of my core focuses that I will set up in my graduate studies. It will also enable me to become a more competent working professional and encourage me to advance towards the doctoral program.
Specifically, Brigade Conduct Officer has come to mind. I’ve know the last two Brigade Conduct Officer’s (including the current one), and I feel as if I have a decent grasp of the job. I feel as if my strengths the fact that I enjoy being around people and specifically that I am compassionate towards them would definitely be beneficial to this role. The Brigade Conduct Officer needs to be somebody who is willing to fight for his/her fellow midshipmen. In addition, through my experience with the conduct system, I feel as if I have more to offer than the average midshipman. While on restriction, I thought about this and decided that it definitely might be an avenue I would be open to exploring. Glee Club President is another position I would be open to pursuing. I have a passion for singing, as it is something I have practiced since the 4th grade. It is my escape and I would love having the honor of leading those 60+ individuals next year as we traverse through exciting performances and opportunities. This would be beneficial for me because as Glee Club President you interact with the members very frequently and have to have decent people skills in order to be effective. My charisma and compassion would aid in this, along with the dedication I have shown in Glee Club. Furthermore, it would give me another opportunity to improve upon my organization and time management as well as my patience. Other positions I have considered are any battalion positions. For example, if Brigade Conduct doesn’t work out, then maybe Battalion Conduct would be the move. Or perhaps Battalion ADEO since I have experience with that as well. I know though, that I will need to find a position where I’m interacting with people on a daily basis and one where I have the opportunity to make a change within the Brigade. It would be fulfilling to be a police officer because police officers help people in the community and keep it safe. They also enforce the law. They are the reason why people can live their lives in peace. If there is anyone in the community that citizens can trust it would be the police officers.
How can you decide what the future career of your life would be? Throughout my years of school, I’ve always thought that I didn't want to go to college. I didn't want to feel obligated to finish another four years of school and drudge more work because In my opinion, I believed there was no sense of going to more school. All my life, i dreamed of going into the police force as a S.W.A.T officer. My plan was to go to the military right after school because I knew, with all my research i've done, that there is a better chance to get into the police force, as well as, a S.W.A.T officer if you have experience from the military or anything that Involves police training. Otherwise, I would have to go to college,
A police officer’s duty is to maintain public order, preventing, and detecting crime. The concept of police officers, also known as cops, and law enforcement has been around ever since the ancient Romans had a theory that an organization of “peacekeepers” would reduce the crime and violence being committed. This theory stuck with society and is still around today. People of law enforcement have a mission when they step into their police car, that mission is to enforce the rules of conduct or law. Of course, accomplishing this mission can be dangerous. Often when a cop leaves his or her house to go to work worries start to set it, such as “will I be coming back home when my day is over” or “will a simple traffic stop go sour and someone ends up dead?” These thoughts are apart of the stress that comes with the job and most people are trained to deal with this stress.
What should we do in life? That always seems to be the question. Life is not guaranteed to be easy, never turning out the exact way that we want it to. A lot of people work hard to achieve their dreams of making a massive amount of money and having more than a seven percent return on their 401k plan. Truth is, life is not about the amount of money that we have saved up, it is about what we do to make a difference and how we will make our lifetime worth it. Something that people should set into place is a plan for their future. A plan that would help not only directs their path in life, but the paths of those around them too.
It has always been my dream to become an officer in the military ever since I was young. My uncle was in the military and loved it, he always told me stories about it and how much he enjoyed it. Growing up hearing his stories and seeing his uniform made me want to do it one day. Well, for me that one day is here now and I am proud to put on that uniform and call myself a soldier. I have always been a leader in my family, my community, and in my life in general. I like to not just be in charge but, I like to inspire those around me. I enjoy setting the example for those around me to follow.
In the past eight years as a police officer for the City of South Salt Lake, I have found that personal growth and achievement in my career have been based on certain past experiences. Such experiences have molded what my personality is today. I have found that in order to be triumphant in my personal and professional goals, it has been necessary for me to reflect not only on my strides, but also my mistakes.
All law enforcement officers have to be strong, both physically and mentally. A good police officer has to set very high standards for themselves, both on and off the job. All law enforcement officers know the high standards of behavior that are expected of them and that they have to live up to them. Integrity is what a great law enforcement officer must have, as it is judged to be the ability of knowing the difference between right and wrong. Sticking to the straight and narrow regardless of the temptations that come your way and adhering to all oaths. The job has to be the driving factor and a firm belief in what you are doing.
