As said by the hysterical comedian David Letterman,” if it were[not] for coffee, [it would be impossible to] have no identifiable personality whatsoever.” Coffee is apart of everyone’s lives because it is a beverage of informal entertainment. People go to coffee shops to study or gossip with friends. All coffee shops target different types of people. It is questionable whether coffee shops are built a certain way. For instance, the Freudian Sip at the University Student Union at California State University, Northridge is the hot spot for students to go cram for an exam, take a coffee break, or simply gossip with friends. Going to the Freudian Sip is a unique experience rather than going to an ordinary Coffee Bean nearby. The Freudian Sip is a unique study space for a portion of the student body, yet ,due to the architecture it may not be accessible to all students, especially those with a disability.
The Freudian Sip’s seating is designed a specific way, so students can have a satisfying student environment. The Freudian Sip is a great place on campus. It has a seating area on the right and left hand sides of the coffee shop. The tables are scattered around the corners of the cafe, so that all customers have a private place to study. The smaller tables are pushed against the corners, while the larger ones are set in the middle of the carpeted rug. The tables against the corners all have access to an outlet, so it is possible to charge a laptop. At the Freudian Sip, the seating capacity can be a little claustrophobic. People have their books and bags scattered on the floors and tables. So, while sometimes being in the Sip, it is a mission not to get hurt. ...er, it is most likely that coffee will become an addiction. Coffee will be pumping out of the student’s blood vessels because they are cramming for their next exam. Going to a unique coffee shop will make studying more worthwhile. The Freudian Sip at the University Student Union Center is a unique and fun study space for all students, due to the space and the calorie burden menu. It has two seating areas. The coffee bar has an amazing display of what is there to offer. Also, it is a great place to cram for finals with friends. But, it is questioned upon whether the Freudian Sip can serve all student’s needs. The friendly staff will treat everyone well. Without a doubt, studying at the Freudian Sip will be a motivation to bump up those grades. Sorrowfully, it is difficult for all students to study here, because this spot is not befitting for all student’s needs.
