From Stranger to Stranger Late. I was late, very late. My flight was at 9:30, and it was 9:15, and I have not left my house yet. I frantically threw everything into my car, not caring much about the content, and drove away as quickly as I could. I arrived at the airport at 9:25, only to find out my flight had been delayed and pushed to 11:00. So, to pass the time I tried to organize my bags a bit more. I was always the type of person to freak out before trips. I always manage to buy just about everything that says, “Travel Sized” or, “Convenient for travel!” on them. In my mind, you can never be too prepared, because you never know what is coming. As I was trying to organize, someone’s child came by me, and knocked my bag off of my lap. What astounded me even more, was that the child’s parent did not even seem to care. Frustrated, I began to pick up my belongings and shove them back into my bag. Suddenly, I noticed a stranger helping me collect my stuff. “Kids, huh?” he asked me. “Yeah.” I mumbled back, I have never been too great with small talk, and tend to have sort of an awkward disposition. After everything was back in my bag he asked, “So, where you headed?”. “Um, Vancouver. W-What about you?” for some reason his eyes lit up, as if I had just told him I was taking a flight to visit Jesus. “Washington, what are you headed to Vancouver for?” “Visiting family, what are you headed to Washington for?” “Business.” That was weird, he did not look like he was going on a business trip. He looked more like he was going to a music festival. He had two bags with him. One was a tote, and the other was a suitcase. Weird. He looked around sort of nervously, and then leaned in and whispered, “Could you do me ... ... middle of paper ... ...dn’t come? I would be stuck with this suitcase. I don’t even know what is in it, and to be honest, I don’t really want to know. I decided to go walk around, and see if anybody might recognize this stupid suitcase. The more I walked around the more frustrated I got. I was almost ready to leave when a man walked up to me, pointed to the suitcase, and said, “That’s mine.” He was tall and was wearing a suit and a bowler hat. He looked a bit like George Clooney, much more professional looking than the last guy. “Oh, okay. Good, here you go.” I said to him as I handed it over. “Thank you. I sure hope it didn’t give you any trouble.” he stated. “Trouble?” I asked, a bit confused. What kind of trouble could a suitcase give me? What is inside of it? Now I actually wanted to know. “Good day to you…” he then tipped his hat toward me, winked, and walked off.
" It 's yours " He replies and opens the door and walks out. I begin reading a little and I see different color meanings. I cleaned up and went outside to check on the camp. Everything seemed normal until I heard arguing..
at me with those piercing eyes and huge grin. He said, "Oh, I'm just trying to
I ejaculated an unrestrained "Huh!" and he must have heard me, for he went on nervously: "What I called up about was a pair of shoes I left there. I wonder if it'd be too much trouble to have the butler send them on. You see, they're tennis shoes, and I'm sort of helpless without them. My address is care of B. F.-“ I didn't hear the rest of the name, because I hung up the receiver.”
“Yeah, that sounds nice.” I said agreeing with him and giving him my complete focus. “You got some place in mind?”
“Thank God” I thought to myself, I was in the most beautiful city in the world with unlimited opportunities. “Would all the passengers on the A’litalia bus tour please get on the bus” Come on we’ve gotta hurry up, we have so many things to do today” said the perky yet annoying yet still very hot tour lady Linda. “Cuttie you’re going to need to bring this card with you where ever you go, promise me you won’t lose it Joseph” “I promise I will hold it as if I were holding you, with all my life” I replied .
I put all of my bag and my suitcase into the car and then came in to eat dinner. After eating and watching tv for a bit we headed to the school where we are supposed to meet for the buses. When we got there it was 8 o’clock and starting to get dark and cold outside. We all met in the gym with our parents and waited for a half an hour before the teachers started letting the students loading there bags and suitcases onto the bus. After saying our goodbyes to our parents we got on the bus and started to head to D.C. The bus ride there it was pretty boring since everyone was tired from the school day so most of us past out including me. After a few hours of sleeping, the bus stopped at a bus station so that everyone could use the restroom and once I got off the bus I had a loss of balance since my eyes didn 't want to open from sleeping so I couldn 't see where I was going most of the time. But I managed to use the restroom and get back to my seat alright. Once I sat down I fell right
The Story begins on a beach with three young children playing. Violet, 14, inventor; Klaus, 12, amateur researcher; and Sunny, baby, professional biter who has not totally developed speech. When they arrive to the beach it is a cloudy foggy overcast day. Violet is spending her time here skipping rocks, Klaus is studying tide pools and Sunny is just enjoying her time being at the beach with her older siblings. Even though it is not the greatest day in the world, the children are enjoying their time spent here at their favorite place. No other people are here on beach and this gives the children a place to be alone with their imagination. While playing a gentleman is approaching, but with the fog it scares the children because they cannot see who walks beneath the fog. As the figure gets closer they start to figure out who it is. The strange figure that lurked in the fog is Mr. Poe a friend of the family. Mr. Poe comes over to the children playing and explains to the children that their parents have perished in a fire that destroyed their home. Mr. Poe explains to the children that they will have to live with his family temporarily until he can figure out a plan as to where they will go.
As darkness envelops the long and winding streets within the walls of castle Azelran, I hold my breath as I duck into one of the many alleyways running between the streets. The whole city is deserted, and even the inns are dead silent. Houses loom above me from all sides, as I trip over bins and stray pieces of rubbish. What has he done? Has he put everyone to sleep so I am alone? So that he can get me? As if. I won't go down without a fight. The cobbles fly beneath my feet. My tunic flutters in the wind, my long hair unfurling behind me in a chocolate brown mass. With my boots pounding on the paved stones, I skid around another corner, shivers running down my spine. I must get away. I don't care if it's never been done before. I have to leave.
“Yes” she said sarcastically. We greeted all of the other girls and started to jog around the gym to warm-up. I was in one of those moods where I didn’t want to talk because it was too early in the morning.
Outside the gates, Lieutenant Gilbert, who was the definition of refinement, is repeating Prince Gabriel’s words to the masses.
Take deep breaths, I told myself. Don't get upset. Try not to think about what has happened. Don't start getting angry. My focus had been intently on a puzzle I was doing since that morning, day fifteen of Light's confinement. L stared at the TV screen. Aizawa read the newspaper. And Matsuda ran in reminding us of why we were all distressed.
Seeing that Rowen was still occupied with his uproarious laughter, I took a moment to assess the situation. Some gator was waiting in the middle of the street, and without even introducing himself invited me, a stranger to his apartment. This sounded like the plot of a bad fan fiction.
Halfway down the road, Hunter realized that his transport had departed. Though its absence didn’t stop him. he continued on foot. A mile into the journey, Hunter stopped. Looking above, and then at his pocket watch hustled onward as daylight thinned.
I woke up one morning to the sun shining on my face through the stingy, old blinds. It was 7:40am, I had class at 8. I pulled the covers back, jumped off the top bunk and grabbed my toothbrush, than ran to the bathroom. I looked like a mess when I looked at myself in the mirror. I saw a fresh new zit staring right back at me in the mirror, I thought to myself of course, just what I need. I was stressed, I had a big test in bio that day, and I was already on a time crunch. Minute by minute kept going by and I was still trying to get all my stuff together when Madi walked in at 7:52 to walk to class with me. I wasn 't ready, I felt like my whole world was going to change because I was going to be late for my Bio test.
The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
