Technology advances every day and surely cellular phones are revolutionizing the XXI Century. New mobile devices contain most of the functions of a computer, better known as smart phones. They also give you the opportunity to stay in touch with whom you wish to and also you can take pictures, listen to music, and most significantly, it connects you with the rest of the world through the network. But have you ever stopped and think, how much time you spend using your phone, and how so often you check it? And without realizing that, most people who own a cell have created a dependency to their device, and sometimes spending too much time on it. Cellphones can have really good assets on society, but there are also some negative effects. Since cellular phones have become such a central part of our lives, it is important to be aware of some of the risks and vulnerabilities associated with them. Cell phones are small and are designed to lead them to us. As a result, they are often lost or stolen. As cellphones move, there is also the moving vulnerabilities that we must consider in respect of our privacy and personal security. Store them as much information about our friends, family and contacts, protect your privacy also means protecting them. Another example, there are the people who text and drive, that’s very dangerous because it adds chances of getting into a car crash. This increases problems for the safety of their selves, as well as other drivers and even pedestrians who are too focused on their phones and don’t pay attention on what is going on. ¨ Pedestrians talking on cell phones have impaired visual attention while crossing the street to such an extent that most pedestrians on cell phones did not see a clown riding on a un... ... middle of paper ... ...solve problems that do not belong or had nothing to do with technology. Cellphone are supposed to be invented to make life easier for people not to harm them. We should integrate technology into our lives but not before questioning them and learning from them so they don’t surprise us with negative consequences. The point is not to let the technologies allow to dominate us.
