Apple Computers
There are many things you could think of when you hear the word apple. For example, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” or “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” Yet if you said apple to most Americans they would think of the infamous APPLE Computers. The reason this is so, is because APPLE Computers has changed history, present and the future in America. There are three main reasons for the company becoming so remarkable. First is Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniack, second is the early days of APPLE Computers and third is modern day APPLE and its great effect on America. APPLE Computers has captured the wallets of Americans, the minds of business men and the hearts of kids young and old.
It all started with two fearless leaders, two men paving the way for the future of electronics. It all started with Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniack. The C.E.O. of Apple, Steve Jobs, also known as the god of the iPod was also known for being cold in the workplace. (Deutschman, 248-249, 253, 35) Steve Jobs was the original flame behind the Apple fire. Even though at times Jobs was difficult for people to work with, he got the job done and did it well. “Wozniack was the brains behind Apple in the early days, the one who did all the hard engineering work while his better-known partner, Steve Jobs, served as the public face of the company.” (Lyons and Daniel) Wozniack is the lost piece of the Apple puzzle. Most people don’t know the story of Steve Wozniack. He put his heart, soul and mind into Apple. He hit it big in 1980 and had promise at Apple but in 1981 Wozniack was injured in a plane crash and never fully returned to Apple. Through all the years of Apple’s existence, there was conflict and tension between Jobs and Wozniack....

Steve Jobs and his friend Wozniak started to create their very first computer, and it came out a lot better than what they thought it was going to be. With very little education, the first computer that came out was extraordinary. “It was the first single-board computer with built-in circuitry allowing for direct video interface, along with a central ROM, which allowed it to load programs from an external source” (“Steve P. Jobs”). Without the education that most people get, for someone who dropped out of college, Jobs created such a powerful computer without the knowledge that most people have. Jobs computer that he created along with his friend was so astonishing a second computer came out. “A year later, the Apple II was launched with a simple, compact design like the Apple I, plus a color monitor” (“Steve Paul Jobs”). The first computer that Jobs created was excellent enough to create a second one, which was also a superior computer. Even though Jobs dropped out of college, he was still intelligent enough to create one of the biggest companies in the world. Apple incorporations was going strong until one day the company decided to let Steve Jobs go,...
First introduced is Steve Jobs, it states, “Paul Jobs [Job’s father] was a high school dropout who, when fixing up cars, knew how to turn a tidy profit by striking the right deal on parts.” (pg.204) Due to the environment Jobs had grown up with, he had understands how to achieve the most profit while spending less for the product, making him, one of the ultimate reasons for the enlargement of Apple. Next is Steve Wozniak, it explained, “‘Woz spent a lot of time at home reading his father’s electronics journals, and he became enthralled by stories about new computers, such as the powerful ENIAC.” (pg.206) As the son of Francis Wozniak, a brilliant engineer who later became a rocket scientist at Lockheed, Woz had grown up making better eye contacts with a transistor than a girl. Therefore, with a team like Job and Woz, Apple soon becomes the mythical corporation that it is known for
In my opinion life has battles that encourages people to overcome and in this situation the battle was technology and Steve jobs and Steve Wozniak overcame that battle with the new technology. They strived and finally created the new and ideal item on the market. They not only showed the world what they were made of but they showed themselves that with effort and determination, anything is possible. Technology has changed the way society looks. In just a few clicks of your smart phone you can share pictures, send a text message, or make a phone call across the world. But they didn’t stop there. In a simple moment you can share your thoughts and emotions on the internet, and even create your new inventions on your time and your personal phone. Others may complain about the new inventions and how they have not done much, but between all odds Apple has started the nationwide boom of the greatest technology that man has made. Apple changed the world in several ways that some of us will never be able to understand.

From the first Apple computer to the iWatch, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started out in the business of kit computers with the Apple I. This initial production run, although popular as a collectible now, will mainly be remembered for helping the company get enough capital to build the Apple II in 1977 - the same year Apple officially incorporated. Steve Wozniak primarily built both these computers and Steve Jobs handled the marketing side. The Apple II drove the company’s revenue until the mid-1980s despite the hardware remaining the same. Apple attempted updates like the Apple III and the Apple Lisa, but these failed to catch on commercially. Although the Apple II was still selling, Apple as a company was in trouble when the 80s began. The 1984 release of the Macintosh was a leap forward for Apple, but in the intervening years between the Apple II and the Macintosh, IBM had caught up. Disappointing revenues from the Macintosh and internal struggles for control led to Apple’s board dismissing Steve Jobs in favor of John Sculley. Steve Inc. Under Sculley, Apple started growing its product lines. John Sculley served as Apple’s CEO
Within the last decade Apple has become one of the largest growing companies in the world and the largest valued company in the United States. According to a recent article in The Guardian, a global financial news website, “Apple set a record by becoming the first company to be valued at over $700bn (£446bn).” (Fletcher, N. 2014) This comes as no surprise to the average computer aficionado and shareholder as Apple has been making a name for itself since its inception. Their dedication to innovation, quality and service has made them

It was Steve Jobs who made Apple leave the garage and make leaps and bounds in the world of technology. Steve Wozniak made the first prototype, but it was Jobs who “saw the potential” in his computer and persuaded Wozniak to sell it (Peterson 106). Even though that first computer saw very little success, Jobs knew that Apple had potential and so released the Apple II. From the beginning Jobs knew what the consumers wanted, and where computers were going to take the world; he had a vision of the opportunities in technology and saw that Apple needed to move in a different direction. In 1984, one year before he left, Jobs finished the Macintosh computer system. He was pushed from his original computer design project, “the Lisa”, and then raced to release the Mac first, but the Lisa was released to the public first. Although the Lisa came out first, the Mac “[became] synonymous with Apple, mark[ing] a…revolution in…personal computing,” (Peterson 106).
