What is Anime?
Anime is a Japanese term for hand-drawn or computer animation. The word anime is as pronounced as "ah-knee-may". What makes Anime so special? Anime is not like most American cartoons like Batman and Spider-Man. Its heart touching, some are very emotional, most of the anime is hero action types. I think the sad stories in anime are miles better than Hollywood.

After a review process, it goes to the director and it gets a greenlit (like an okay) and goes into production. Next, we have the storyboard, these storyboards include drawing, movements, panning of the camera and the length of each shot. Next, we have layouts for the actual scenery and landscapes that take place. First, they are drawn on paper and it is reviewed like should we have the tree here or a building here etc. Once it is finalized it goes to a landscape department where they used to hand paint them but not anymore, now it is turned into digital landscapes. Next, we have key animators, what they do is they draw the first frame, the middle frame and the last frame of an animation. Next, it is going to the in-between animators who make sure that, the animation is a fluid movement by tracking the three pictures they were given. After all the animations are complete it goes to the compositing department, which is the coloring studio and the shading. Now the final production of the department is the effects department, what they do is they add effects whether it's lighting effects or shading effect etc. They make sure that that animation looks amazing. Finally, it goes to the post-production which is editing so that the 30-minute cartoon is exactly the amount of broadcast they may cut out some pieces.
