Walt Disney is not only best known for his American Motion Picture and famous cartoon films, but also for his artwork he created. Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Hersoma, a section of Chicago, Illinois. Disney was born to his father Elias Disney, an Irish-Canadian, and his mother Flora Call Disney, a German-American. Walt Disney was one of five children, four boys and one girl.

Walt Disney lived most of his life in Marcline, Missouri, where he began drawing and painting. While he lived there, Disney sold his art to family, friends, and neighbors. In 1911 his family moved to Kansas City. This is where Disney developed his love for trains. During the summer, Disney worked at the railroad, selling snacks and newspapers to travelers for his uncle Mike Martin, a train engineer. Disney attended Mickenely High School, where he took photography and drawings classes. During the night Disney attended the Chicago Art Institute until the age of 16 when he decided to drop out and join the military. Disney was rejected from the military for being underage and decided to join the Red Cross where they sent him to France for a year to drive an ambulance.

When Disney returned from France in 1919, he moved back to Kansa City to pursue his career as a newspaper artist. Along the way his brother Ray got him a job at the Pesmen-Rubin Art Studio where he met a cartoonist Ubbe Iwerks; from there Disney worked at a Kansas City Film Ad Company where he made commercials based on animation. During this time Disney began experimenting with a camera, doing hand drawn cel animation, and decided to open his own animation business. After he started his animation business, he took Fred Harman from the ad company he worked...

After his brother's death, Ray carried on the plans to finish the Florida theme park, which opened in 1971 under the name Walt Disney World.

I love Walt Disney's artwork. I enjoy it because not only did he make these amazing pieces of artwork, but he also made them into cartoons as well all looking different and having personalities, which you can also see in his artwork. Disney used the talents he had, and even though he failed at some points, he moved past it and created so many amazing things and pieces of artwork over the time span of his life. I do not like that he died early in his life I would have liked to see what other cartoons and drawings he would have came up with.
