The Poem, “No Escape,” by P.D, takes place at a point in time of a person’s life where they have reached the limits with thoughts in their head. The poem shows a perspective in which a person had grown up, “in a caring family,”(line 1) but didn’t have, “proper parental attention.” (line 4). The author goes throughout the poem on explaining how their depression inside, their, “evil,”(line 10), inside began to intensify and make them feel trapped. The author uses a good metaphor to clarify this by saying, “the good old spirit in me was dead.”(line 9). The author also uses a another form of figurative language, an hyperbole,(line 11) when the author had said, “Still in me stayed the light of a goddess.” By adding this line to the poem it tells
