Globalization Globalization affects this world and the people of this world in many ways. It is the idea of making the entire world like a single country. Globalization is the connection of different parts of the world. Globalization results in the expansion of international, cultural, economic, and political activities. As people, ideas, knowledge, and goods move easily around the globe, the experiences of people around the world become more similar. (“Definition of Globalization“, n.d., ¶ 1) There are many real world examples of globalization. The first example is with the manufacturing of goods in one country and the sale of these goods in other countries. Many of these goods that are sold in America are manufactured in places like China, India and other overseas countries. Another example would be companies outsourcing work to other countries which will boost the economy for struggling countries by giving them much needed jobs. Many multinational businesses do business globally with satellite offices or call centers in multiple locations. There are times when we as customers, may call a company that we believe to be local, for customer service issues, and will talk to someone in a country overseas. Technology is another example of real world globalization. With today’s technology, cell phones, computers and the internet, it has become easier for businesses to interact with other businesses on an international scale. The internet is a major contributor to globalization, not only technologically but in other areas as well. Surfing the internet on your computer, you can keep up to date with news anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. Worldwide fads and pop culture, such as YouTube, Facebook and MySpace, which... ... middle of paper ... ...wing up, we may have visited a restaurant that may have served Mexican food, but today one can choose any type of food and find a restaurant within a 5 mile radius of their home, from Mexican to Chinese, Japanese to Indian. I have mixed opinions about globalization as a whole. I think for the economies of most countries it can be beneficial as it will help develop non-developed countries. Globalization has the potential to make the world a better place to live and solve some very long standing problems like unemployment and poverty, which will have a positive impact in the future. Other than having one world government, which I think would have a negative impact in the future, I think globalization will have a positive impact in the future, if it will increase wealth, decrease poverty and allows cultures to blend without each country losing their own cultures.
Globalization is defined as the process of interaction and integration among the people, governments, and companies and among different nations. This process has effects on culture, environment, political system, trade system or economic system, human physical well-being, human’s development etc.
Globalization is the process of people of different cultures or countries integrating through interacting through trade or the use of social media. In “Point: Globalization Provides a Better Life for All” By Jennifer Graham, she provides a valid point of view of how globalization has benefited society. “Globalization enriches the human experience through increased cultural and economic integration, which promotes diversity by opening society to new technology, communication and ideas...Moreover, globalization helps to break down discrimination against people on the basis of religious beliefs or race” (Para, 11,13). Globalization has an impact on my lifestyle because I am currently surrounded by technology and different cultural food. With globalization I have access to different foods that i would normally never get to try, also technology has allowed me to gain knowledge about different culture I would normally not know, this results in me being more informed and benefited because of globalization bringing the different culture of the world so much closer

Globalization is the spread and integration of ideas and cultures that both positively and negatively impact the world. Many examples throughout history have demonstrated both the negative, and positive aspects of globalization. Although globalization has a positive impact on the world with new technologies and cultures, overall it has a negative impact o the world because of the gap it creates between the rich and poor, terrible opportunities available for the poor, and the horrible conditions that come along with it. Globalization has had a positive impact on the world today by introducing new cultures throughout the world. Modern cultures have spread throughout the world changing other countries like Ladakh.
Globalization is defined as an interconnected web of contacts that expand across the globe. Globalization has become the easiest way to understand and communicate with the business world. This process allows companies from different nations to have very few issues working together when it's easy to connect, communicate and transport goods (Schultz, 2013). Globalization has had many influences on our nation. Some were probably good and some were not so good. The Clinton administration represented it very energetically, it was the source that drove Clinton's expansion of fiber optic lines across the globe. Not everyone felt that this was a good idea. Protestors of globalization rallied outside a WTO meeting and put a halt to the meeting. Being
Steger would support me in saying that globalization is a rapidly spreading phenomenon, which cannot and will not be stopped. With the many benefits that globalization provides, this is a definitely a good thing. The ability to easily communicate and collaborate with businesses and organizations worldwide has lead and will continue to lead developing countries in the right direction, towards financial and economic stability. Global market competition will force out new and innovative ideas, and keep prices at a reasonable and stable rate. Most importantly, the world has more choices with the advancement of globalization, and everyone loves choices.
(Bilton et al 1996:5) The process of globalization has certainly had many changing effects to the world we live in; it has also changed the way many factors operate. Globalization is said "to have transformed the structure and scale of human relationships that social, cultural, political, and economic processes now operate at a global scale with a consequent reduction in the significance of other geographical scales. "(The Dictionary of human geography 2004:315) Globalization has had both positive and negative effects on a local, national, international and global level. Globalization often brings benefits at one level which cause negative effects at another, these results and the scale at which they manifest are often uncertain and unpredictable.
Globalization can be defined as the global economy coming together in many ways to create unique products, and services and other things. But what exactly does this mean? The initial thought would be that globalization is good. However, I believe globalization is the leading cause of the increased gap between the rich and the poor, and diminished the middle class. Globalization simply allows the cycle of the rich developed countries exploiting poor countries for labor and resources. Globalization has both positive and negative effects on everyone however, unfortunately the bad has outweighed the good.
As everything in the world it has its consequences and benefits, but I think the benefits surpass the consequences. Thanks to it people from remote places now are able to have electricity and water when they used to struggle to get food to survive. Globalization is about evolving and adapting our society to the future, it has been driving us for centuries, and some people fail to realized that it is the force that has pushed humanity to the point we are today. The fact that every nation are working together, and sharing their cultures is making the world smaller everyday. As Appiah states in his essay, globalization may cause a homogenous society, but it is also a threat to homogeneity because it mixes the different nations of the world. The most important thing of globalization is to try to improve this process, in order to make the least consequential so everyone can benefit from
Finally, everything in the world has a positive side and a negative side and globalization is one of them. It is up to us the people of the world to maximize the positive aspect of globalization and minimize its negative aspect.

Globalization, the acceleration and strengthening of worldwide interactions among people, companies and governments, has taken a huge toll on the world, both culturally and economically. It’s generating a fast-paced, increasingly tied world and also praising individualism. It has been a massive subject of matter amongst scientists, politicians, government bureaucrats and the normal, average human population. Globalization promoted the independence of nations and people, relying on organizations such as the World Bank and also regional organizations such as the BRICs that encourage “a world free of poverty” (World Bank). Despite the fact that critics can argue that globalization is an overall positive trend, globalization has had a rather negative cultural and economic effect such as the gigantic wealth gaps and the widespread of American culture, “Americanization”; globalization had good intentions but bad results.
Globalization effects many aspects of the world including trade and investment that is fueled by governments, societies and their people.
The term ‘Globalization’ refers to is the integration of economies, industries, markets, cultures and policy-making round the globe. It explains a progression by which both national and regional economies, societies, and cultures have become incorporated through the universal system of commerce, communication, migration and transportation.
Globalization is a very complex phenomenon, basically it means the relationship and connection between countries are getting closer, and they have more contact, politically and economically. Globalization has influenced the world in many different ways, like culture, economy and politics.
