Immigration to the United States provide many benefits to immigrants and the nation in the past, and now. The United States was a great option for people to start a new life in due to being in new territory, and being in a place where you could have a fresh start. Many immigrants from all around the world immigrated to the United States in search of the American dream. Others immigrated to the United States for freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and many other rights that weren’t provided in their home country. Immigrants from every part of the world traveled to America bringing their culture, values, skills, and knowledge to America providing the necessary elements of becoming a diverse nation. This was where immigrants were able to help. They filled the positions that were empty and worked to help provide for the nation. There was also a higher demand for food, so immigrants also helped to work in fields to grow crops. Without the help of immigrants, we probably would not have had the ability to generate revenue to fight our wars in the past, and would have potentially lost. Many people believe that immigrants were bad and were hurting America. This could be traced back to the “fat cat(I believe they was called this)” cartoon where they would not let new immigrants or refugees into the United States. The “fat cat’s” themselves were immigrants but didn’t want more immigrants to come. Now in more recent times, people believed that immigrants were bad because they are overpopulating the United States, taking all of our jobs, or they are trying to change the United States. These reasonings are untrue because immigrants helped shape America into what it is
Immigrants during this time period came to America seeking wealth for their family they had brought with them, or to send back to their families in their homeland. Whichever case it was immigrants spent the majority of their time working in the factories in hope for a better life than the one they gave up in coming to America. However, upon arriving immigrants soon realized that the home they left behind was not all that different than their new one. Immigrants came seeking the types of jobs that would give them Liberty and independence, leaving them only to find themselves just a working part in a large factory dependent on machines, rather than their own skills.
There is no denying that immigration will always be a factor in the development of the United States. Whether it is due to religious beliefs, economic problems or even war in their native country, emigrants will always come to America with hopes of starting a new life in the “Land of the Free”. Fortunately, the people who do choose to legally migrate to America are generally motivated for success and well-educated. Even the immigrants who are not well educated are motivated to succeed, work hard and take jobs in areas where labor forces are low or jobs that a native-born American may not even consider, effectively making them a contributing member of society.
They face many issues such as economic instability, depression, loneliness, fear of being alone and feeling betrayed. Children feel depressed in cases like this because even at a young age they know that things are not okay. They also suffer from fear and being betrayed, they suffer fear because they 're scared of what is going to happen to their family since they 're so used to having their family together. Many times children who face this situations feel like they’ve been betrayed because they don’t know why their mother or father have gone away and not came back. The psychologist mentions that it’s very normal for children to feel this way and conduct a different behaviour than usual because just like everyone else they don’t seem to understand
Immigration to a developed country has a lot of problem associated with it. In particular, United States has not been spared of these problems according to many experts (Massey et al. 53). On my view, though there is a positive inclination towards immigration that people tend to overlook. Firstly, there are the cultural differences; many people migrating to this country are from different localities. The ethnical perspective of these people is nearly incompatible. This incompatibility leads to exchange of the aspects of the two cultures hence enrichment of the untied states culture. This is a positive impact to of immigration. If the new people were just visiting and going back to where they came from, then such exchange could not have happened, therefore, after all immigration is not only a negative aspect in ...
America is known famously throughout the world with the nickname 'The melting pot.' The reason behind this is that America is extremely diverse and has many different people. Immigrants give America the chance to know the culture of many countries. They bring in their culture, religion, economic benefits, and ideology to America. I believe that the United States should allow legal immigrants from all over the world because they bring many benefits to it. Immigrants are a positive influence on United States of America.
Many immigrants came to America with many different reasons and share the same feeling. Jewish people were expunged from their homeland because of the long lasting, futile hatred between religions. The Chinese people fled from their mainland due to the upraising revolutions and the Opium war with the British. Lastly, the Japanese came to America because of the Meijin revolution that caused a lot of harness to the living of many Japanese in their home. They were all immigrated to America wishing to seek freedom, or better living conditions. The large community of different immigrants coming to America was also benefited the country’s economics because many immigrants were very skillful and their cost of labor we...

From the beginning of the United States, immigrants have always played an integral role. The nation itself was built on immigration, whether to escape persecution or war; however, the United States, as it progressed has had instances where immigrant groups have had issues assimilating into society whether due to the political wave running through the nation or from an economic depression. One group, that has been experiencing this difficulty assimilating into society has been Mexicans who have, since the beginning of the 1960’s, have been coming over in droves to escape the poverty, corruption, and drugs that run rampant in Mexico. So, although the United States was established on immigration, the United States has had an issue with the incoming
Large amounts of immigrants from all over became attracted to the United States in the 19th and 20th century because of the fact that we had started expanding rapidly, new industries opened up which leads to more job openings; this time was called the Gilded Age. The immigrants coming to the United States realized they had a chance for a better life; they have the chance to start over and have a job. “While they endured harsh conditions during their time of service, as a result of their labors, they acquired ownership of small pieces of land that they could then work as independent yeoman farmers.” (Diner). Americans built bigger corporations, cities, and buildings; some people made fortunes and others created a new middle class and proved
Immigration hasn’t always been seen as a bad thing in America, but as the years go on it continues to be seen in a darker light. Originally, America was founded as a promising immigrant state. It was a place to avoid religious persecution, famines, and most importantly as a place to start a new life for one’s self and family. People journeyed from all over the world to get a glimpse of life in this new world. Early on it was mostly Europeans that traveled across the Atlantic sea for freedom, but then came the Asians who helped build important infrastructure like railroads and roads. Today immigration is

In short, it can be said that immigration is a natural process of movement of non-native individuals into a country from very past. Without the assistance of migrant impacts, the United States would be a one culture nation. Settlers have formed the way we [the United States] are today in the public eye. Diverse ethnicities brought distinctive games, nourishments, religions, occupations, training, and societies when they moved. Upon the landing, numerous Americans did not favor of the new rush of workers for all intents and purposes attacking into their nation; along these lines, specialists put many Acts and confinements that migrants needed to look by moving to America. Foreigners going to the United States cut a less demanding way for some subjects in the 1900s.
Immigration poses an ongoing debate in which people are becoming increasingly unsure as to whether immigrants are benefiting their society. This paper will examine three of the main benefits of immigration: the increase in diversity it provides, the rise in skills and labor and the benefits to the economy. Immigration leads to cross-cultural integration, therefore increasing ethnic variety. This increase in diversity is beneficial as it leads to improvements in society, as well as educational development. Increased immigration also means there are more skills and experts available to the hosting countries, as well as extra workers to take up jobs that need filling. Immigration also leads to improvements in the economy as taxes are paid and employment and wages increase.
