What all happened in 1992, was really more eventful than a person could realize. Throughout the year there were many exciting and scary things that happened all over. There were bombings that killed hundreds of people, hurricanes that caused devastating damage, and riots that upset entire cities. As a new year usually does, 1992 brought everyone a fresh start filled with memorable and nerve-wracking events from Bill Clinton being elected as the 42nd president, the LA riots, Tiger Woods being the youngest to ever join the PGA, Hurricane Iniki devastating people of Hawaii, and Mike Tyson being charged with rape.
Bill Clinton was elected in 1992, throughout his presidency he accomplished many things from; creating new jobs to lower the unemployment rate, improving the economy and the number of homeowners, helping to raise education standards, and lowering the crime rate to the lowest it had been in the last 26 years (Bill Clinton Biography).Before Clinton’s presidency, he was Governor of Arkansas, where he worked very closely with his wife Hillary.
Bill Clinton affected many people throughout his presidency in anyway that he could help them. He impacted many peoples lives greatly with everything that he was able to do through his presidency. He truly helped to make a difference with everything he did in our nation today.
Through today there still are many people with jobs that he made available to them, people who have been able to get a better education with his help, and keeping the crime rate down in todays world. He has helped set ideas forth giving all presidents after him an example to follow. He did his best to help fight through everything he had to.

No matter how a person looks at the year, something new and exciting was always there even if it was just right around the corner.

People will always remember Bill Clinton, for what reason, however, might be different. Some might remember him as a wonderful president who helped our country pull through the millennium unscathed. He protected our environment, promoted education, strengthened our economy, dropped the crime rate, dropped our nation’s poverty levels and had some victories with international policies. At the same time we have health care that is falling apart, some problems with the military and a scandalous affair. Considering this one has to wonder what his legacy will be. A respected leader who learned as he went and made many valuable reforms? Or a president who didn’t hold to his promises, and lied to the country? Bill Clinton was the 42nd president of the United States, his term ranged from 1993-2001. Throughout his presidency he was a bit shady and had many scandals involving him and his wife Hillary. Many of his scandals involved financial problems, and didn’t happen while he was governor but more while he was president. All these scandals he was involved in resulted in Clinton getting impeached.
President Bill Clinton is very questionable. When people think of him that automatically think about his scandal with Monica Lewinsky. But his presidency was not only revolved around his scandal, he made very drastic decisions when it came to foreign policy. When he first came into office, he had little experience with foreign policy. Also he had little interest but due certain circumstances he had to get involved the foreign problems. He was involved in the Balkan Crisis and other foreign countries.
Bill Clinton and Barack Obama have many similarities. Both of their first terms as President were shockingly alike such as, job approval rating difference being only point five percent and the interest in reforming available healthcare to people of lower class. Both President Clinton and President Obama were referred to as black presidents, only because they didn’t uphold the same backgrounds as did the former presidents. Neither Obama nor Clinton had a personal relationship with his father, which meant both grew up in a single parent working household – a reality rare in the time period. It was in 1996 that he won the reelection for a second term in office defeating his opponent Bob dole by a landslide (Gale). Unfortunately first coming into his campaign for office he was set on bad terms with allegations of Bill Clinton having relations with women other than his wife. Later on this followed him with the second term as investigations began to take place of him having an affair with the intern of the White House, Monica Lewinsky (Gale).
