It was November 19th 2009 the day I wish never happened. I was at the wrong place at the wrong time doing things I regret to this day. People shouting rioting about the new law, from what started to a simple protest to an all out civil war. The clouds were black a line of riot shield officers giving instructions pleading for every one to stop but no one listened. Some people didn’t even know what every one was rioting for they just saw it as a chance to steal and provide for themselves or family. Their, were stones being thrown in midair with a mix of newspapers set on fire. I was trying to escape knowing what the consequences were if I stayed behind and contributed to the chaos. I believed what they were rioting for but this wasn’t what was planned. But before I could escape I was struck on the head by a stone it stopped my movement and knocked me out in a blink of an eye. While I was out cold I felt like I was being dragged across the floor well it would explain the scar that I found across my head. I found my self awake in darkness gasping for air unable to move I heard some voice...
Immigration). The riot was finally put to an end by the United States Army (Educating About Immigration).
It was the day of April 13, 2000. I woke up at exactly 12 o’clock because my boyfriend was to pick me up at 1 like we planned the night before. The day looked quite nice, but I was in a fowl mood. I got into a car accident the night before and had a huge argument with my parents about the car. I finally dragged myself into the shower and got ready in half an hour. Then I went downstairs, sat on my couch, and repeatedly told myself the day would hopefully turn out better than last night. At around 1:15, my boyfriend came to pick me up. We took the 5 freeway to the 57 since it was the only way I knew how to get there. As we approached the 134 freeway, my girlfriend veered to the right, taking the 210 which was wrong way and got us lost. So, we exited the freeway and got back on the right track. Then finally, before long, we reached Norton Simon.
My body could no longer move, and everything in the room was merely a blur to me. The sounds of people talking and the birds outside merely become cold empty sounds in my ears. I could barely hear or see anything anymore. I knew my end was drawing near.
I was at home at midnight drained of thinking about my love. Almost asleep out of nowhere I heard a beat atmy the door. I thought I was crazy but I still heard the beating at the door. Although I was not expecting company the same beat kept repeating.
As I awoke I saw the face of a man staring down at me with a look of pure horror and
It was then that my parents must have woken up. I could hear them getting out of bed, talking in hushed voices.
Just as we drifted off we heard banging outside of my door, already my brother crawls up into a ball and into the corner, as my dad open the door a steuerwert was outside and throw life jackets.
It was a chilly night as I was walking down the path to my house to see my wife and children when I heard someone talking. I was very curious about who would be down this path at this time for it was very late into the evening and I had just gotten off work at the office. I walked very quietly towards the voices that I heard. As I crept up behind a bush I could hear a voice saying...
It was the week of my daughter’s birthday, when the winds of hurricane Wilma landed close to the area where we lived. My husband was in California, and I was alone
January 1st I packed myself my 2 year old daughter and most of our belongings into a new home. I never would have guessed that in approximately two and a half years I would have been getting a divorce from the person who I had been so in love with just a few years earlier. Someone who I had built a home with, someone who I had spent the last 7 years of my life with had a child and raised a step child as my own with.
Everything started a few years ago. It was a warm and beautiful night in Africa; the dark blue sky was full of stars… and those were the last things I remember before I woke up in a cold and wet floor. I do not know where I was, or why I my hands were tight behind my back.
Can you single out just one day from your past that you can honestly say changed your life forever? I know I can. It was a typical January day, with one exception; it was the day the Pope came to St. Louis. My brother and I had tickets to the youth rally, and we were both very excited. It was destined to be an awesome day- or so we thought. The glory and euphoria of the Papal visit quickly faded into a time of incredible pain and sorrow, a time from which I am still emerging.
Gasping in terror I awoke and shot to my feet. He was gone, but where, how long had I been here and ...
My head spinning I could finally see outside and where I was at. I just realized I fell off. My eyes filled up with tears I started bawling; I was shaking and looking around to find my parents but they weren’t there. I see this person running down the dark green grass. I could barely see who it was but he came closer and I see my neighbor. Everything I tried to look at looked like I was looking underwater without goggles. There were red blotches all over the street. I guessed that it was my blood, it was from my knees and elbows. A bad headache came, my neighbor asked me “Do you know your name and your parents?”
”it's for your own good” the voice spoke as it’s cold hand tightened around my shoulder. As the hand had finally loosened it’s grip, I felt dizzy and lightheaded as I stood up, soon falling back down and letting the darkness overcome me. I woke up about three hours later in a panic, I hoped it was all a dream. I felt uneasy, and left my room, and walked to the bathroom. I turned
